Thanks for visiting. It is lovely to see you here. It would be great if we all lived closer together.

I wish that I was as near to goal as you are. I still have about 3 stone to go and have a huge spare tyre around my tummy. My waist is a really odd shape which confuses me too!
I will review my goal when I get nearer but I can see the roll of fat that says that I need to lose 2 stone anyway before I try and judge whether I need to lose more or less than 1 further stone from there.
I do a lot of walking - but I dont limit myself to just that. I signed up for classes which in turn contained aerobics which caused me to remember how much I loved dancing when I was young. I used to adore dancing right up until I met hubby.
As I see it - we all encourage each other here. I appreciate all the support and encouragement that I get too.

The stupid thing is - it isnt a dangerous area where we live at all. Nowhere is as safe as that same place was thirty to forty years ago - but that does not mean that somewhere that was totally tame then is not pretty tame now by anyone's standards. I always remember twenty years ago when we first moved to this house being stunned because hubby had dropped a chequebook on the pavement outside the house and it was still there the next day. Now - I do not think that would be the case now. In fact I think that it was very lucky to be the case then. In all honesty - I suspect that the areas that I went to as a teen were more dangerous then than round here is now.
I think that hubby just likes me at home with him and he does not want to go to a gym himself. I would be complaining if he did not want to spend time in my company.
It is really great that your hubby is very supportive too.
The daytime classes thing seemed strange to me too. That is why I took the trouble to find out who the manager was and seek her out. They want to do more classes and are in negotiation with the school (but have been for years so are not optimistic about any great changes in the near future) - but the school do not want it to happen. The sad thing is that the school hardly uses the aerobics hall. There are days when the school does not use it at all. I do my daytime classes at the Adult Education Centre (which is 10 to 15 minutes walk away from the Leisure Centre) and the classes that I do are running with maximum attendance. If you do not sign up for them early you do not get in to them because they are full. I have already checked what date enrolment starts for the term after Easter so that I can sign up for my Friday class. This demonstrates that there would definitely be a market in the local community if they offered such classes. The Leisure Centre Manager is very much aware of this market opportunity.
I love doing the aerobics and would definitely plan on keeping on my Friday keep fit class for that. I will try out the water aerobics with one of these free vouchers and see how I like it. I tried buying a bathing costume yesterday but Tescos didnt have anything suitable. I tried on the smallest one in the house and it was UK size 26. Fortunately the fabric meant that it did not look as big as you would expect and would probably be ok for me to wear for one session. I am currently wearing UK size 16 and have just bought some UK size 14 jogging pants (elasticated waist of course - I am nowhere near a size 14 waist) that fit fine with a t shirt over - without it they emphasize the odd shape of my waist more than I would like. They are perfectly comfortable and are less baggy around my legs and waist than the size 16s.
Take care
