Omega's journey

Thanks Auburn and Kim for your words of congratulations. They are much appreciated.

I am only 5 ft 3 inches tall and have a small frame under all this padding. I dont need to try and guess my frame size like so many large people because I was of normal proportions until I was in my mid twenties and my PCOS caused everything to go silly.

I aim to try and get as near as possible to how I would have been had I not had this immense weight gain.

My boobs are unlikely to naturally shrink to a normal shape so they give an element of uncertainty as to what my target weight should be (as would any muscle and changes due to age) - but I know that I considered myself to look fat when I went up to 126 pounds (9 stone). Around age 20, I was happiest between 112 and 119 pounds (8 to 8.5 stone) and in my early 20s grew to accept myself around 122 pounds.

Take care

Oh I can't wait to see some updated new pics of you, I'm up there with you on the BIG BOOB syndrome, all the women in our family are what you can called "STACKED" makes me look really big and broad shouldered, YUK!

Have a safe and happy new year!!
Kim

Hi Kim

Happy new year to you too.

I might get hubby to take a photo soon - and if I do I will share.

My boobs are mainly skin - but there is a lot of them (they were so huge to start with and they do not seem to shrink properly).

In the Spring I slimmed down to a 52G bra
In October I got measured for a bra - I was told my size was 40I but they didnt have one and sold me a 42H
A week ago I got a new bra which was 36J

The good thing is that my back is reducing to something near "normal person" proportions.

I am not ruling out surgery as an eventual option if the skin does not start to shrink. This is not an avenue that I would prefer. I certainly encourage my skin to be as healthy as possible with vitamins and creaming.

Take care

Hi Angel and Kimberly

Thanks for visiting. I hope that you are having a Happy New Year too.

I certainly appreciate your congratulations.

:grouphug:

I have to admit that I am surprised at my December weight loss. I never expected to get a very similar loss to November.

The two milestones rounded the year off very nicely (understatement) and it leaves me only a fifth of a pound away from another milestone event - getting under 12 stones.

After that the next milestone will be getting under eleven and a half stone. Whether these can both be achieved in January remains to be seen.

I have just noticed that I am about five sevenths of the way to my target weight.

Hi Becky and MyOwnNBF

Thank you for visiting me with greetings and messages of congratulations. These are certainly much appreciated.

The good news is that although my weight has drifted up slightly (by a fifth of a pound to 12st 0.4 lbs or 168.4 pounds) - I start the new year as an overweight person - not obese. This continues to be a really big thing for me.

Thanks Felici

I appreciate your message of congratulation. You really cannot imagine how surprised I was to hit a major milestone like that before the end of the year. It was not a couple of weeks when I expected to lose any weight at all!

Thank you.

Hi Tyly and Dawn

I really am the luckiest of people to get even more lovely visitors with more special comments and messages of congratulation. I really appreciate you taking the time to say such nice things. Thank you so much.

Tyly
What lovely compliments.

Dawn
I have just checked my records (you know what a detailed spreadsheet I keep on everything related to my weight loss project) and my BMI was exactly where yours is on your ticker on 20th October. I know how motivated you are to make it happen - that may give you a hint of the sort of timeframe you may be looking at. It really isnt a long time at all. I would love to think of you managing to do it in less days and telling me all about it. I do a lot of walking - but you do a lot of those energetic exercise classes not to mention your swimming and gym membership.

Hi Tammy

I really cannot believe it. My weight was exactly the same on Christmas Eve as it had been on 16th December. It just spent 8 days wiggling half a pound up, half a pound down..... On the 23rd I had over-indulged big time and was quite cross at myself. On Christmas Eve I was relieved that my weight hadn't shot straight up but I remembered something someone had written about sometimes weight from over-eating took a few days to show on the scales. I decided "enough was enough" and started being a bit extra strict than I had planned and the weight suddenly started to come off. I lost over 4.5 pounds in that week starting Christmas Eve.

You will be overweight in no time. You were just a fraction above that milestone a couple of weeks ago. I remember because you were a lot nearer it than me. Now you are back on track those splurge pounds will be off in no time and you will be through that milestone.

I have big huge rolls of fat on my tummy (not to mention stretch marks all over) so I cannot really picture me in a bikini - but certainly a nice bathing costume that I feel that I look ok in sounds very good. My friend Maria phoned me this afternoon from Greece - so I am definitely thinking that I want to go to Greece this summer for at least a couple of weeks. Next time that I go I want to swim where people might see me. I am sick of hiding away.

Take care
Love
Margaret
