Omega's journey

Glad your H is a bit better--UGH, gout is chronic, then, eh? One of my buddies had a wound that got Staff infection because he was staying at his filthy ex girlfriend's house, and hi ex is a lazy girl who sits around smoking weed all day and doesn't clean ANYTHING....ANYWAY HE FOUND OUT STAFF IS A VIRUS and he'll have it for life! UGH!

Anyway, good luck on your weight loss, I KNOW we shall see our goals soon enough!!! Hurray for working out on Xmas, I did, too :D

:waving:Merry Christmas to you too, Margaret! And a very happy St. Stephen's Day, today.Well done for getting your exercise in, and not going hog wild with the eating!!:sifone:

I have kept regularly on the treadmill, though not able to do it as often for the last week or so. In fact I will be getting on it in just a few minutes. As for my eating, I certainly have enjoyed my share of eggnog, butter tarts, chocolates, and more! Even some wine, which is unusual for me. And I have loved every single bite & swallow! :piggy: hee hee

However, now is the time to take a good look again at all that goes into my mouth. I am not at my goal yet, either! But I still feel wonderful about how far I have come - and I'm sure you do, too! You look stunning.

All for now, keep up the terrific work!

Shame on me Margaret
I forgot to tell you that we recieved your Christmas Card!
It was lovely and very thoughtful of you. Thank you so much.
I had every intention of mailing you one back but your envelope with your return address on it was tossed by accident.
I would still like to send you a card, maybe not a Christmas one LOL, but one none the less. So if you would be so kind as to PM your address to me I will drop one in the mail.
I hope that your Christmas was wonderful.
Catch ya later.

.

I do the walking at 4.3 mph though - so I get it done in just about 2 hours.

I never really care too much about the duration though - just getting the distance done. When I do / was doing it outside I used to stop and gossip to people and do a bit of shopping en route so timing has never really been much of an issue.

It might sound a lot to do - but it is a whole lot more relaxed than trying to fit 11 miles into each day.

Two hours on the treadmill, wow. I did an hour today. I wanted to ask you about something. I like walking and its even better on the treadmill as I can increase the speed or the incline. I'm good at that and I don't miss too many days. I'm not so good at lifting weights (I go to the gym). Can't I just do the treadmill or stairmaster or bike if I want to lose weight? Do I have to lift weights? It seems like you have been successful by playing to your strengths which include walking.

Boy I feel like a big dummy with that last post. Just spent some time reading every tenth page of your diary, saw the photos, read about the operation and plans for Greece and ALL your good advice in betwixt and between and I've learned a lot about what it takes. I made it to page 141 and will continue to read. I know I sound like a newbie - I'm not really, I'm just starting over - lost twenty pounds two years ago, plateaued and got discouraged.

I think its amazing that you don't count calories. I don't want to anymore or at least this new time around.

Anyway, a big thankyou for the good information, help and model of what it takes to beat the battle of the bulge. You've made me believe that I can do it. Its nice to get reacquainted with you.

hello margaret!

hello margaret!

I know it's been awhile, but I am back, and am so proud of what you have accomplished since I've drifted off! You truly are an inspiration!
hugs,
