Now or never

New low today (136.7), hurrah! But got a pesky 2 hour training session on what is supposed to be my day off so going to have to try and fit the exercise in this afternoon. MY work schedule for the next two weeks is also completely different because of some big thing we have coming up meaning there's lots that needs doing before it but won't be much for me to do after it. So exercise may be a bit hit and miss then as well which is no good for trying to get running into my routine!

You should be fine with the change in your routine for a week. It shouldn't effect you. Just remember to stay on track with the food intake.

Training session ran a bit over and we had to call at costco on the way back to order some sandwiches for work at the weekend so didn't get back home until after 1pm. Then I went for my 2nd c25k run! Almost talked myself out of it but I just need to remember to ignore my brain and just get on with it haha! It was raining so was lovely and peaceful and the grass on the field must have just been cut this morning so that made it easier. My route of running around the 4 goal posts was scuppered though because they'd all been taken out to cut the grass! Got home and did workout DVD but was lacking in a bit of effort and legs were a bit tired.

Weighed myself before evening meal and was only up .1kg from this morning so thought to myself "I must remember to only eat as much as I need so it's a good weigh in tomorrow". This was made much easier when I was presented with a fish that was 99% bone. I gave up when I swallowed a bone and just ate the veg and tiny portion of pasta. Successfully avoided the creamy potatoes too.

I thought running would always be a nightmare for me. It always has been so I just assumed it always would be. But exercising at home this last year must have drastically improved my cardio abilities and the weight loss has obviously made it easier too. The only problem I'm having at the moment is actually making myself leave the house to do the run, once I'm out the door I'm fine.

Oh dear, I dropped to the second page of diaries!

It's been a very busy weekend, work saturday morning, out for lunch, boyfriend's friend's birthday party saturday night where I knew no one and just wanted to go home. Sunday was spent shopping for father's day presentes for dad and grandad and also trying to find something for my mum's birthday the week after. Only ended up getting dad's but need to order grandad's tonight and I think I'll just bake my mum a cake because money is running low. Also need to buy some tickets.

Today is supposed to be my day off but it's stock take at work on Wednesday so my hours are different this week. I've just got home and trying to work up the energy to start week 2 of c25k. Think I'll have a rest first and read everyone's diaries.

Yesterday's rest ended in my having a half hour nap at 4.30pm because I just could not keep my eyes open any longer! So no run happened but I went today instead after some delays which I'll explain later in the post. I intended on going out pretty much straight after work (after a snack break anyway) and it was really sunny so I wasn't best pleased with that (I really hate being too warm so exercise + sun= my hell) but by the time I eventually got out of the house it had gone overcast. It started spitting whilst I was running, as I headed home I heard thunder and a couple of minutes after I got in there was torrential rain! It was a good run though, ground was a bit squelchy from yesterday's rain but I ran my fastest average time yet and a little pug dog came to say hello while I was running (I love dogs!). Also did my workout DVD when I got home and have just done day 9 of the 30 day ab challenge (I missed the weekend so am a day behind now). Day off tomorrow too so will get plenty more exercise.

In other news, I am reconsidering my goal weight date. It was originally mid August when I go away to work at a festival. The company I work with there also does another festival I've been to a couple of years back but wasn't really my kind of scene so haven't been since 2011, though my boyfriend works at both festivals every year. Boyfriend was messaging one of the managers last night about his role this year and manager happened to mention that one of the people supposed to be carrying out the role I do at the August festival had dropped out. She also mentioned to him that he should talk me into returning to that festival. I'm not getting any overtime at work recently since my job role changed so could really do with the money so I told them I would fill in if I could get the time off work approved (paid holiday). This morning I went in work and asked for the holidays and by the time I'd got home from work the contracts were sitting in my inbox, haha! Reading through all of them is why my run was postponed a bit. So I'm now going to a festival in mid July too. Now do I move my goal date to July and risk being disappointed and unmotivated if I don't reach it or leave it as August and just plod towards it slowly?

It also raises a couple of more problems. 1) That's another week with no exercise and probably pretty poor eating to set me back. I was planning on trying to find some healthier stuff I could eat which require no fridge/freezer storage (could last the first couple of days in a cool box), can be cooked quickly on a campfire, can be eaten as it comes or required only hot water (the office I'll be working in will have a kettle). But I've looked before without much success and I now have 8 weeks less. 2) On Sunday I bought a new pair of waterproof over trousers for the festival as my old ones were too big and a bit rubbish. They only had a uk size 10 in the ones I liked best, I was looking for a size 12, but they were only slightly tight on the thighs, everywhere else fitted ok. So I bought them thinking my thighs will be smaller in 12 weeks. Now I have 4 weeks to make them fit!

Better get moving!

Well by your signature scale it shows you only have 2 more pounds to go to get to your goal. So I'm just wondering why you want to move your date. You should be able to lose that in time... Or am I missing something?

I lose very slowly! I can't be bothered changing the scale every day so I just keep it at my lowest weight as long as I'm in reasonable reach of it. My actual weight this morning was 137.1 I think, not 135.1 like the signature claims haha! I'm quite up and down in my weight really, weighed myself pre-shower which was before my evening meal today and was down to 136.2 so who knows what it will be in the morning! The only thing I'm sure of is that I'm safely staying in the 130's for now.

Week 2, session 2 of c25k today. Was cloudy when I left the house, 5 minutes later it was blazing sun! Stomach was feeling a bit dodgy and I probably didn't have enough sleep last night so was slower. Managed the run ok though, getting a bit more breathy now. Also done DVD workout and 30day ab challenge today and got some stuff done of the looooooooong to-do list I made this morning.

Got very little sleep last night so not doing any exercise today except 30 day ab challenge at some point (should be a rest day but I'm a day behind so it means I'll catch up). Getting some other stuff done instead that would otherwise be postponed until another day. Been a bought a few bits and bobs for festival in just over 4 weeks times including some antihistamines that I need to start taking in a week and half to build up my tolerance and some ear plugs to block out everyone's snoring!, made a couple of changes to my festival packing list and food list which I made yesterday, finished wrapping father's day presents for this Sunday (must write out cards!) and been and weighed out baking ingredients to see what I need to buy more of for baking Mum's birthday cake next week.

Got a day off tomorrow because I worked one of my usual days off earlier in the week so planning on c25k and workout DVD and might go through some of my clothes and find some to throw out. Going out for a very naughty Chinese meal in the evening though for my friend's birthday. Must at some point also do a bit of festival inventory to see what travel shampoos etc I still have or need to buy.

hmm... kind of contradictory in terms isn't it..
Your not going to workout but you are??? lol

Sorry just had to point that out. it was too funny not to.....

Well I'm glad you still pushing it even being a day behind in the schedule....

Keep it up JB

I got really confused then because my actual initials are JB and wondered how you knew! Haha! It just meant I didn't have to leave the house or get changed or spend too much energy like other exercise would.

Yesterday I finished my second week of c25k, did workout DVD and 30dac. Unfortunately the scales are being mean because I went to a friend's birthday meal and ate Chinese food and had some champagne (he was buying so obviously couldn't say no!). Boyfriend is now busy all weekend so I should get more exercise done while he's not here. Got 5 hours at work first though with no idea what I'm actually going to do as all my usual work is non-existant for the next few weeks and I'm the only one in so I can't be trained on anything else!

Didn't actually end up doing any exercise this weekend! Ended up visiting relatives yesterday and went to bed early (slept for 12 hours! must have been tired). Today visited relatives again for shorter period on went through ALL of my clothes. I now have 6 bags worth ready to go to the charity shop, most of which are going because they are too big. Now I actually have some room in my wardrobes I can buy some lovely new clothes haha! I know if I'd have started exercise instead that my mind would have just been on the clothes so best to get it done and out of the way.

Somehow managed to lose some weight yesterday just clearing out all my clothes. Had my glass of lemon water and banana for before my run, just waiting for some of the water to pass through first so I don't need the toilet like I did last time I went running haha! Looks nice and cloudy at the minute which I think is my preferred running weather.

Was talking to aunt about c25k on Saturday because she's thinking about starting it and my mum pipes up "Don't you feel a bit isolated running on that field? Isn't it a bit dangerous?" So now I feel worried about it, but I'm not going to let her put me off, I'm doing much better at losing weight than she is so ha! I'll stick to it until I get murdered I guess. Going to get ready for run now, then come back and do workout DVD and if I've got time after that (need to iron uniform for tomorrow too) I'll try and pull all of my camping stuff out of the top cupboards to start getting everything prepared for the festival next month.

Forgot to mention, given up on 30dac. I don't think it was doing my lower back much good, despite doing the exercises as right as I could (suspicious my spine is a bit of an irregular shape), so I've stopped because I don't want to damage it. Might continue with just the planks which didn't hurt my back at first, towards the last few days my back did start aching at the end of the plank but it may be because I was straining an injury caused by the other exercises.

So glad I decided to have a clothes clear out yesterday when it was nice and cool! Today is far too warm for my liking again and only just managed to finish my workout DVD, there's no way I would have lasted very long trying on loads of clothes today.

lol well at least I didn't get your initials turned around... God knows what kind of comments would of came out of that one....lol

But anyways... awesome job on your week of C25K... Keep at it girl. You'll be running marathons in no time...

Haha, that could have been interesting!

Run today was good, slow but good. DVD workout completed just about. Showered, done ironing and even done all of the packing that I can at this stage for next month's festival! Call me miss organisation. Shortish day in work tomorrow so got to go shopping on the way home to try and get the remaining ingredients of my mum's birthday cake I'm baking on Friday (they'd run out of icing when I went last time!) Just trying to think whether I should run before I bake cakes or after on Friday...

Tired! Got up this morning, ate a banana and went on my c2k5 run, that's week 3 completed now so a third of the way there! Then came back and did DVD workout, felt so tired during it but carried on until the end, just missed some scissor things because they were hurting my back. Then shower, then the rest of my chicken and vegetable broth I bought the other day (was going to go for the chicken and sweetcorn but I looked at the calories and the broth was only half the calories!) with a lovely warm bread roll. Then I made a start on mum's birthday cake for tomorrow. I've just turned them out and they look yummy! they're currently cooling and then I'll stick them in a box overnight to decorate tomorrow I think. There isn't much room in the fridge so it's best that the buttercream goes on as late as possible really. Now I'm having a rest before I had to drive round to my grandma's to wash all the towels because our washing machine is broken! It's only 2 mins drive away but the traffic at this time is terrible because we live near loads of schools and between 2 motorways, so I'm going to wait until it's quieter.

In good news I reached a new low today! was 134.9 when I weighed myself this morning and had a cheeky weigh before my shower and was 134.7. I have since had a little lemon cake though haha!

A bit further away from my goal now after sampling some of the birthday cake I made haha! Bought some lovely new clothes today though which was good and hoping to buy more once I get paid at the end of the week. Weather is meant to be cooling down a bit this week too so that will be better for my exercise. Shifts at work are back to normal now too as far as I know so can hopefully get back into a proper routine.
