Skyler, I'll try to share my exercise and motivation thoughts...
The exercise yesterday went ok. I did upper body. I was so motivated to exercise, I even used jump rope for a few minutes before getting on bowflex. It was a bit annoying - it takes me so long to do the routines, because I'm still figuring out which exercises I'm doing, how to do them correctly, what's the setup, etc. Once I learn all that, things will go much faster.
As far as motivation is concerned - you know I have the hardest time motivating myself to exercise! I've found that it is easier for me to motivate myself do bowflex then any other exercise, partly because it is easier then working against my own weight. I look forward to Bowflex now, and squats and pushups and crunches I used to dread. Another part is that I made a big financial commitment to bowflex machine (it is not cheap!!!) and I'm not the type of person to through money out on the wind. But I do genuenly like using it, not sure why, but I think it is a big part of it.
Otherwise, If I'm feeling physically tired, I either skip it alltogether or do a reduced version of it. I still cannot do streneous physical activity several days in a row without lots and lots of rest, remainder of my mono days, so I have to compromize.
I think as far as motivation is concerned - if I don't like the exercise I'm doing, it is almost impossible for me to make myself do it. But if I love the activity, I will do it no matter what.
So, the best I can come up with, if you can't motivate yourself to exercise for exercise sake, do some kind of physical activity you would enjoy.
Sorry for blabbering. I hope this helps any. I think compared to me, you Skyler are much more advanced in the art of motivating yourself to exercise.

You've gone so far with it!!!
