No More Excuses, I'm going to do this!

So I'm definitely feeling the gym today. My arms and shoulders are very sore. Skipped the gym today, but will go tomorrow before all of my Christmas festivities start.

I've had three small cookies today. One gingerbread and two sugar. Got a 6inch sub from Subway for dinner and will get some pretzels to have with it. Then I forsee some more holiday goodies!

I think I may weigh in tomorrow ahead of all the Christmas food, fun, and festivities! :p

Probably won't get back on here until Monday sometime, so I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!

Hey Munch, thanks for stopping by my page and telling me about your eliptical experience...I certainly didn't start at 60 minutes...that thing takes some working up to! But, I've seen it take off the inches, so I continue.

Today, it's already Christmas eve here in China, and we're going out to lunch with some Chinese friends of ours, (which is always an experience!). One thing about Christmas in China, is that there are not alot of sweets in the office or cookies etc...makes it slightly easier to stay on track. Merry Christmas and looking forward to following your journey in the new year!

Sarah

Merry Christmas Munch! I hope you enjoy the holidays without guilt, that's my resolution! Have a wonderful time and "see" you in the new year!

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas, I know I did! Saturday my fiance and I were at my parents house, then went to mass at 11pm. A great service. This was my first Christmas season as a converted Catholic and I have to say, it's the first time I've really seen what the holiday is really about. Christ the Lord was born and thankful am I for his birth! On Sunday we visited my fiances family and had a wonderul day with them. I know for a fact I ate waaaaaaaaaaaaay more than I should have. However, aside from two thanksgiving and the two Christmases I celebrate, I never eat this much, so I figure four out of 365 days a year isn't too bad!

I'm not going to dwell on it!

Tomorrow I have my interview at 10am. I hope it goes really well! Things are getting crazy at my current job and I'd really like to be elsewhere.

Afterwards I'll be going to the gym for a hardcore workout to get myself back on track. I'm really looking forward to it!

I hope everyone has a great Holiday Season!

AThat's the way to go at it munch, we had our fun, now it's time to get our heads back in full gear.

MLB- I agree! If you don't let yourself indulge and go a little crazy, your missing out. Now that we've had our pig outs, lets get back on track and make our goals come true in 2012!

I love, love, love after Christmas sales! My fiance and I have picked up a few things to have for next year, our first Christmas together.

I had my interview today and I feel like I did really well! The bummer came at the end when I found out if selected I have to take a polygraph. It's a little scary. They asked me if I'd ever done drugs and I was honest about my dabbling once or twice with pot. I'm hoping they appreciate my honesty. When I say once or twice I literally mean I tried it twice and haven't done it since. I just hope the rest of my interview sealed the deal! I'm not going to let this get me down however, if I don't get a call back, it's simply not my time to move on just yet.

After the interview I went to the gym. I did 30 mins on the elliptical, 1.5 miles on the bike, and some weight lifting.

Lunch was boneless/skinless chicken breast and some mashed potatoes- 500 cals

For dinner I have a lean cuisine pizza and some m&m's- will update with cals later

Oh and I had a serving or two of goldfish crackers- will update with those calories as well.

I'm trainig a very old new employee today. He's 80! I work security. I'm not sure he's going to make it around this place and survive! Ugh, tonight is going to go so slow.

Gonna hit the gym again tomorrow!

Hope everyone is having a Happy Holidays!

Hey Munch!!! Sounds like you had a lovely Christmas!!! I agree, some days calories shouldn't count... ie Christmas and your own birthday. So hard to just make it one day with so much food around the house though!!! Thankfully it's pretty much all gone now. Too much sugar!!!!

Sending you positive vibes for the outcome of your interview- I know exactly how it feels to have a job you don't want. Really hope you get it!! And wow, interview straight after Christmas! That's crazy. I'm planning on job hunting as soon as I've been on holidays. 6 weeks to go...

I did have a wonderful holiday Luz! I agree that it's hard with all the food in the house. I was lucky, we went elsewhere for our dinners. I brought home a few cookies, but nothing else. Now those, along with the candy I had in my stocking are gone, so it's back to being normal, lol.

Seems my interview went awesome, I got an email saying I will be contacted soon to set up a time and date for my polygraph test. Which is both exciting and scary! I really hope I do well and am offered a position. It would be my favorite Christmas gift!

I didn't go to the gym today. I'll chalk it up to just being completely lazy! Hope to go tomorrow after meeting with a potential caterer for the wedding.

Todays food:

4 fish filets- 510

lean cuisine panini-320

butterfinger(last of the candy from my Christmas stocking!)-270

Mixed nuts-180

1280 for the day so far. I plan on eating something once I get home later tonight to bump up those calories to about 1500.Shouldn't be a problem, I'm almost always hungry after work!

Hey Munch, good luck on your job interview! I'm sure you are "wowing" them even now...so strange and true how some self confidence comes in the form of a few less pounds and inches! One thing about self confidence, it just comes out all over and people sense it...you either got it or you don't...I can sense you got it!!

Keep up the good work!!

Sarah

Thanks scbibhouse! I contacted my interview today about not receiving a call to schedule my polygraph. He informed me that the polygraph testers are on vacation this week and I should get a call next week. I hope it's on Monday so I can get this thing schedule soon and get on with it.

Haven't really been able to track calories today. We had a taste testing of food for our wedding. I had a probably 6 smallish meatballs, a medium to large-ish fried chicken strip with ranch, one bite of potato salad, two very small and two very small pieces of teriyaki chicken. No idea on what the calories were.

Later at home I had a regular coke-110 cals

Diner was a baked potato and plain chicken sandwich from Wendy's- I'm too lazy to look it up but I'm confident in saying it's about 600-650 calories. I've looked it up before.

Then I opened a bag of peanuts here at work and chomped away at them without noticing. Serving size is 1 oz, but of course I don't have a scale with me here. So I'll go high and say I had maybe 3 servings at 170 each. Ugh! Holy crap-510 cals. I so hope I didn't eat that many.

Well I'm still hungry, but I'm just going to have to drink water the rest of the night because I'm sure I'm over my limit for the day. ARGH!

Tomorrow is a new day.

Well, now I am really looking forward to tomorrow. I just ate two of those loft cookies... about 180 each.... ugh..

Hope everyone is having a Happy New Year!

Yesterday I went to the gym and had an awesome workout. Ran two miles and did a bunch of weight lifting. I'm feeling it today, but I it's that good type of pain. I weighed in on Sunday at 159lbs. Still up from 156lbs a few weeks ago, but now that the holidays are over, I'm getting back on track.

Still counting my calories and trying to get in as much exercise as possible now. I'm hoping to go tomorrow, if only to do some cardio. I'm not sure if my muscles will be healed up enough to lift weights again.

Munch you are doing great, i love to be able to work out as hard as that!! I would love to be able to run 2miles, thats just unreal!! You will be back down to 156 in no time.

Best of luck:)

Thanks Irish! I hope to get back down to that fast and keep losing.

Didn't go to the gym like I planned today. I had a heahache and cardio with a headache is never fun. Instead I did a core workout at home. I was planning on working core anyways and I don't need the gym for that.

Then I had lunch- spagetti and home made garlic toast-450 cals

Dinner is a flatbread pizza-700cals

snack- honey wheat pretzels-2xx

I'll have exact totals later.

My muscle soreness has decreased so I think I'm gonna go to the gym tomorrow. Going to have to go early as I have a lunch date with my fiance and one of my friends. Chinese!!!! Which is a motivator for me to go to the gym so I won't feel so guilty enjoying myself! :)

I still haven't heard anything from the police department. Hoping I get a call soon. If I don't here by Friday I'll call them and ask what's up. I want to get this test scheduled asap!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Hey Munch,

Thanks for stopping by my diary! I'm really liking reading your posts and following your progress. Sounds like you are working your way up in the gym...I'm sure you can do it! It just takes some time (if you are like me, you want instant results...but it rarely works that way for me!) Good luck on that job with the Police...I'm sure they can use some motivating troopers like you!

Sarah

Thanks scbibhouse! I'm noticing a difference, at least in the muscles in my arms. But of course, it would be great if the results were instant!

What a bummer... Right when you say I've been doing well, here I am my third day in a row of not going to the gym. Ugh! I have terrible motivation, especially if it involves me needing to go earlier in the morning because I have something planned. That never, no matter how much I want it to, works. Today was just another example of that. Tomorrow I have nothing in my way of my normal routine so I will wake up at my normal time and GO TO THE GYM!

Other than getting my butt to the gym things are going great. I've been keeping my calories at or just below 1500 a day. Today I'm going to eat chinese with my fiance and a friend. I've been looking forward to this for awhile! Haven't had chinese since I've back up on my weight loss. I'm going to eat slowly, but get the things I love. Then for dinner I'll probably pack microwaveable mean.

I'm finally not sore at all from the trip to the gym on Sunday. I did a full body weight lifting session and it was killer. I plan to do it again tomorrow.

Well the Chinese lunch didn't work out so well. I ate more than I planned. I'm not going to let it affect me though. I've been doing well when going out to other restaurants, but this was the first time I'd been to Chinese since I'd started losing weight. Guess this will just have to be and every once in awhile thing now, which is probably for the best.

I wasn't able to count the calories I ate as there was no nutritional information available and I'm too lazy to look everything I ate up and guess the portion sizes I had, lol.

For dinner I had a Michelina's fettuchini alfredo-330

coke zero-0

And not to long ago I split a fluffed filled donut with one of my friends-no idea

So not the best of days for me, but as I said, I'm moving on!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day. :)

Shame on you for eating the chinese!!! BOLD BOLD!!!

Thank god you know yourself its bad and are making a fresh start tomorrow, good on you, YOU CAN DO THIS MUNCH:)

xx

glad you're moving on Munch! Too often people fall back even more on their diets just bc they slip up for a day! It's really tough to stick to a strict diet. Just reading about the fettucini alfredo, donut, and chinese food is making me :drool5: . Tomorrow is a new day! Good luck!!
