When will you be done with school? It can be such a huge motivation to lose weight and get in shape knowing that big things are coming up for you! I wish I had that...haha. All I have is the threat of bikini season!
After reading your posts I am toying with the idea of calorie counting. I feel it could be beneficial to me. I used to do it and lost about 20 lbs. Once I fell off the wagon though I gained it all back and then some....oops. That's my own fault though.
Hope you have had a good week
Always nice to meet a fellow Catholic!

I thought the counseling would be boring and a waste of time, but it's actually been really helpful. I will be graduating in May, I can't wait. I'm so tired of school. I agree I have a lot of things motivating this weight loss. The wedding, my future job, and bikini season! HAHA!

That physical test sounds pretty hardcore - nice job on the real pushups! They are my goal!! I can only do girly ones right now, when I try to do a real one I fall on my face!
I notice that you are totally on top of it about counting calories, do you worry about fat grams at all? The stuff you write down tends to be a little higher in fat, just wondering if you count that and what your limit is?
Keep up the awesome work!
LOL! I use it sooooo much, I'm not kidding! I haven't messed with fat grams. Maybe if I start to plateau I'll start watching things other than my calories.

Be careful not to eat too little. Sounds like you're on top of the calorie counting though. I'll start counting if I find myself hitting a plateau. I wanna end up around ~135. Need to build some muscle and lose a lotta fat. Let's put it this way, I'm struggling with the girl push-ups. I'm going to start lifting weights later this month.
Maybe try a little protein before your workout (e.g. a tablespoon of peanut butter on your toast)? That might settle you so you don't feel sickly during a harder workout session. I actually can't eat before working out or I feel awful. Everyone is different.
The important thing is, you're in the gym! Better to stop after a mile than do nothing at all.
Thank you! I'm not sure exactly when I'll take it. I'm not going to start applying to departments until after the wedding. So hopefully soon after that is when I'll start taking it. When I mean "it" I mean fitness test, however each department is likely to make me take it so I'll be doing it about 4 or 5 times! lol!
Trust me, I know now not to eat too little. Not after the other night. I felt terrible. I'm not a fan of peanut butter, but I may pick up some protein bars or a powder or something to get me some extra protein pre-workout. I don't feel like I'm doing brutal workouts, but maybe I am.
Thanks to everyone for all the encouragement!
I weighed today (it will be official tomorrow!) and I was 160lbs! That's a 3lb loss this week!!!!!!!!!!! Makes me feel awesome!
Today I went shopping for my wedding dress. Found it on the third one I tried on! It's so beautiful! I'll post it once I can figure out a way to block out my face! lol
Afterwards we went to Olive Garden. I had my favorite, chicken parmesian. But I was good. I had a little salad, one breadstick, and divided my main dish, putting half of it in a to-go container before I even started eating. I paced myself and was full after I finished my portion. I looked online at the calories for my meal.
Chicken parmesian- 1090
breadstick-150
salad-350(wow that dressing was high in calories!)
For dinner a little bit ago I had my other half of the chicken parmesian and another breadstick- 150
that brings me to 1740 cals today. Higher than I would like, but it was a day out. I'm still well under my 2000 cal maintenance, so no worries!
To make the day even better LSU just beat Georgia and are SEC CHAMPS! WOO!
Well that's it for tonight. I'll post tomorrow with my official week one weigh in.
