No Day But Today - Jes' Journal

Thanks JZ & Amanda for dropping by.

I am still on track, surprisingly. I am just SUPER busy. It's funny because I got on winter break and I was thinking, "Sweettt I am going to have so much free time." NOT. I've been working 40+ hour weeks. My paychecks are SUPER nice. I've still been getting into the gym. I don't get to spend 3 hours like I would like to but I still get in there and that's all that matters :)

School is starting up Monday so I will not be working as much SO I will have free time again! I will be posting regularly again. Woooo. TONS of catching up to do. :)

Hey! Amazing job you're doing! :D

I'm 17 years old and right now I'm 188-ish, about your height. I started about week and five days ago from like 192, lost four pounds so far. I want to be 140 by summer. :D

I'm Asian & god, there are so few obese Asian girls that like EVERY ASIAN ADULT I KNOW comments on my weight issue. It's quite frustrating. :(

Let's do this together! The amount of exercise you do really is an inspriation! :)

AND to top if off, my eating has been absolutely immaculate. NO JUNK!!! Okay, I lied I had 5 chocolate Hershey kisses today but I deserved it after my work-out :p

December wasn't a very good month. I missed about 1 1/2 week. No exercise, at all. Not consecutive days but regardless, I skipped out quite a bit. I was really down and got scared. I felt like I was losing sight of my goal and I had fallen off the band wagon. I had a nice long talk with my personal trainer and he says it DOES happen but as long as I see it and I don't give up, I'm going to be fine.

He's right. I'm going to be fine. I am going to miss days in the gym and that's okay. I'm trying. I know I worked a lot during December, I was full time and working 10AM-7PM. I did NOT want to work out after being on my feet ALL day long. I know excuses ;x The past is in the past and I'm doing well. I can't give up!!! I've come way too far!!!

As you can tell I am seriously kicking some major butt in the gym!!! :)

Question: I have definitelyyyyy already hit the 4 hour goal for exercise for the week (c'mon that was pretty weak :p), do I just go ahead and give myself a 100 points?? I did. If I wasn't supposed to, you can go ahead and edit it :)

Even though we are on opposing teams, WOW you really kick butt at the gym! Looks like we're going to have some pretty good competition :D

If you already did 3 hours of Cardio and 1 hour of weights, then you can put your 100 points in.

Dang girl, I just looked at your entries, you are kicking butt in the exercise department! Go girl!!! Work it!!

I just read your entire journal and you are so inspriring!!! It makes me want to get up and go to the gym!!

By the way are you east indian?? I'm assuming you are from some of the foods that you posted!! I am too and when my mom cooks, the food is soooo good but I hate how I cant really count calories since I have no idea how many calories are in roti and sabji lol and parothay are definately my weakness..its hard to have just 1!!

Hey, Jes, great job on the exercise. Sure, 4 hours a week might not seem like a lot to some, but damn, finding an extra 30+ minutes a day is not always the easiest for some. Lucky for me I can sneak in a bit here and there at work.

Hey Jess!

You are still kicking butt I see. I also noticed that your "half way there" is approaching. Do you have anything planned?

Hope all else is well.

Hey Brandon :)

I don't have anything planned :x IDK. Most of the time I don't feel like I look different at all physically even though people tell me otherwise. A friend saw me after a few months and freaked out when she saw me. She couldn't believe how different I looked. BUT IDK, I just feel like I still weigh and look 195lbs.

You are also approaching halfway, do you have anything planned???

DAY 96 - 01/12/09
- 60 minutes on elliptical
- 60 minutes on bike
- 30 minutes stairmaster
- 150 crunches with 8lbs
- 3 45-second planks
- 90 leg raises

I had a really good work-out :) No weights today. Still sore from yesterday. I need to incorporate some running into the routine though :x
