Nightporter... To the point of no return.

Hey N, glad to hear your down a pound. I was going to suggest picking up a weight at the gym that weighs a pound, but hillbilly already beat me to it. Oh well. Anyways, that's good news! Congrats!

So sorry I have not posted in so long! I had a whole message typed up last night then my browser crashed so I went to bed. So sorry!

T2- Yes I have heard some of their stuff. I like it! Like a modern electro/Synthpop band... Almost reminds me of Aphex Twin... Ever hear his stuff? It's weird!

Pineola- Thanks for the check-in! I better start checking back in on you all!

Twinmom- Thanks for doing the math for me!! I suck at math hehe... but hey, if I'm under 185 by Christmas time, I think I'll be a happy camper!

Redneckwoman- Thank you for the support!!

To everyone else too- Thank you so much for posting it means so much to me!!

Now, where was I...

I'm getting a little bit worried! The scale is not moving at all. And sometimes it even bumps me up a pound! I'm really worried because I do an hour or more of cardio a day, 30 tko 40 minuts with weights- I keep my carbs low, and according to the Ketostix I'm as deep in Ketosis as humanly possible- But the scale ain't movin!! My father says it's probably because I'm replacing the fat with muscle but I'm not so sure about that... I don't mean to be cynical, but I need more opinions to make a better assumption to what I'm doing wrong or what's happening now. Has anyone else had this problem? I certainly don't want to let the Termin-Eaters down!!

I don't remember what I had yesterday, but todays food was...

Breakfast - 3 eggs in cream cheese

Lunch - Pepperoni in mustart

Dinner - Hardee's low carb thickburger

Dessert - Low carb Pina Colada!

Excersize - 1 hour on treadmill, and 40 minuts with weights... I'm pooped!

I also have another question about treadmil- I feel like a dope, because every time I get on it, even when I walk I have to grasp the bar with both hands. I feel like a wimp because there are old ladies who can walk and jog and just swing their arms around like it's going out of style. But the times I have tried to walk without holding the bar, I lose balance badly, and feel like I'm going to fall down. Even when I only take one hand off!! Does this balance thing go away? Or is there some ancient chinese gym locker room secret that all these people know that I don't?

Thank you all, and I wish you all everything beautiful,
-Kera-

I think your balance will get better. You are cracking me up today. I agree with your dad. You push a lot of weight on those machines. Why don't you try lightening up on the weight, but doing more reps?

Muscle is heavy.

Sorry to sound like a dunce- But what's a rep? :)

I feel very stupid now!!

Please whack me with the Twiny- I deserve it!!

Ok, last week I was able to take some of the dreaded "Before" pictures... Just to let you all know- These are the worst pictures of me imaginable! They were taken seconds after I woke up, horrible angles, I'm wearing no makup, I have a stupid look on my face, I'm not sucking in my tummy, and my hair is disheveled! Just to let everyone know I normaly don't look like this!

Actually, I hate those pics so much, I'm going to post a picture of me posing so I don't look fat!

Ah, what a little bit of makeup, posing, and an 80's suit can do!! I hope you all relate this image with my posts and not the previous- But I figure I ought to just bite the bullet, and post my before pictures anyway!

That's "a little makeup"? :p You definitely look like you could take a stage by storm! :D

You do look like you have been building muscle. And a not-sucking-in-your-tummy pic is the best kind of before pic you can take. Try not to worry too much about your scale fluctuations. It took me over a week and a half to drop one pound, and then I dropped like 4 in a couple of days. That happens to a lot of people. If the scale fluctuations cause you distress, switch to weighing just once a week - or every couple of weeks. And remember, sometimes your body has to take time to adjust after losing some fat, so it stores water in those cells to give your skin and other tissue time to shrink slowly. Be patient, keep working hard, and those pounds will come off.

You look cute in your work-out uniform! You look fab in the make-up!!

The rep is how many times you do something. Short for repetition. For example you might do 3 sets of 15 of one type of machine. Lighten up on the weight and do 3 sets of 30 instead. Does that help?

Thanks for sharing the pics!

Twinmom- Thank you for the kind words! Hopefully those 'before' pictures will be another person someday!! You are very right about weighing once a week. I have actually been weighing every other day! But I am just so curious! :)

Pineola- Thanks for the def!! It does help- But I must know... What are 'reps?' *Kicks Self* I'm sorry I just don't get this weight-loss lingo yet!! Is it like how many times you lift... something?

Hey NP,

you sure are cute! I love your hair!!!

You're doing great keep it up and you'll reach your goal no problem! :D

Miss Kalie- Thanks!! You all are such an inspiration, that you can make me smile in 2 seconds!

T2- Aw, shucks, I'm blushing!! I only had to post that to counter the 'just-got-outta-bed-and-threw-on-a-t-shirt-that's-5-sized-too-small-look' Thank's again ;) Also, I am loving the new gangsta pic!! Rockin!!

I just dld Gentlemen Take Polaroids - Nice - really nice 80's sound.

Sad to say, I had to delete the song "Home" by David, sorry but it didnt make the cut.

Fast track me on some titles to dld pls.

Seriously, all I can say is 20 years ago... skip it, you're too damn hot to wish for a time machine.

Hi T2!!

Gentlemen Take Polaroids is probably my favorite Japan song ever! But some of my other favorites are:

Swing
Art of Parties
Methods of Dance
Nightporter
Quiet Life
Halloween
Visions of China
Sons of Pioneers
Ghosts

Tin Drum seems to be their most appreciated album, and a longtime favorite of fans- It's what marked their unique sound in history! At the peak of their musical career! I am still a bit sad that they had to break up right after it!

Oh yes- I forgot to mention that before Quiet Life, Japan were a bit of a slashy/trashy Glam band and David Sylvian wore fishnets, womens clothing, and had long curly blonde hair! Plus he sang so different- Really high! If you want to hear those, listen to anything off of the albums "Adolescent Sex" or "Obscure Alternatives"

-The Dolphin Brother's (Steve Jansen and Richard Barbieri) Made an EXCELLENT (And theyre only) Album "catch the fall" It has a real 80's synth sound- and Steve Jansen sounds ALOT like David! I reccomend this album too as every song is catchy and enjoyable, plus it sounds a little Rain Tree Crowish!!

Some of DS's solo work I would reccomend:

ANYTHING from "Secrets of the Beehive" That is probably my favorite album in music history!
Bamboo Music (Sylvian/Sakamoto)
Red Guitar
Ink In The Well
Nostalgia
Before the Bullfight
Silver Moon
Darshan (Sylvian/Fripp)
FORBIDDEN COLOURS (Sylvian/Sakamoto)
Bouy (Sylvian/Karn)
Blackwater (Japan reformed as Rain Tree Crow)
Pocket Full of Change (Rain Tree Crow)
and ANYTHING from his newest album in the band Nine Horses, "Snow Borne Sorrow" That whole album is hauntingly beautiful.

You should also check out Mick Karn's Album "Titles" -Some of the coolest bass sounds ever!! The best three songs are:
Tribal Dawn
Passion in Moisture
Weather the Windmill

Oh yes- don't forget about the collaboration between Mick Karn and Peter Murphy- Dali's Car!!

Sorry if that's so many songs- But I just can't help myself when someone asks for Japan/Sylvian music reccomendations! It's a shame you had to get rid of "Home" That's one of my favorite instrumentals from Gone to Earth!

As for a Time Machine, ah, I guess you're right... I'm just going to have to bring the 80's back here!! hehehe...

Thank you again for the kind words!!

-N-

PS: This isn't JUST for T2- I would reccomend ANY of these things to anyone searching for wonderful, beautiful music!
