newmommy1's diary

Thanks everyone for the congratulations on my little girl!
T2 Trucker, yeah...the Mike n' Ikes, the in-laws just HAD to send us halloween candy, didn't they? :p I always try to hide the box of candy from myself but then my husband drags it out during lunch hour and leaves it when he goes back to work, darn him! :p
gonnab2cute... it's so easy to say yet so hard to do... (as my husband makes himself a delicious looking bagel somthered in butter) I know I know, I'll try, I promise! *crosses fingers behind back* :p
Kdel...you're going to be sorry you asked :p oh where to I begin... hehe. Well, at around 23 weeks of pregnancy I was diagnosed with gallstones and put on low fat diet (under 20 grams a day  ) That slowed down the gallbladder attacks until I hit about 24 weeks, then I started having them every few days, at 36 weeks I began having them everyday and they were causing me to have contractions too, so at 36 weeks 6 days the doctor induced me and I gave birth to my perfectly health 7 lb 5 oz, 19 inch wonder. 2 days later I had gallbladder surgery and they sent me home the next dat, 2 days later I was in the E.R. with bad pain in my belly, they gave me a shot of demerol and sent me home I was back in the next day and they did a scan of my belly, there they accidently found a blood clot in my lung. They immediately forgot about the belly pain, admitted me to the hospital and started me on blood thinners. For the next 3 days the pain got worse and worse to the point where I couldn't talk or move because it hurt so much. It was a million times worse than labor. I spiked a fever of 103 and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. They scheduled a radioactive test for the next day. When they did that they found that I had a leak in my bile duct and that my stomach was full of bile. They needed to do surgery but my blood was so thin from all of the blood thinners that they had to give me 8 bags of human plasma to thicken it. The next day I went in and had a procedure called an ERCP, they went down my throat while I was semi conscious and placed a stent in my bile duct. I was then taken to surgery where I was put on general anesthesia and the bile was sucked out of my belly. I recovered in my hospital for a week after this. Then I went home but the day after I went home I took a nap and when I woke up I only woke up in my mind, not my body, I couldn't talk or move, but I could open my eyes. I was taken to the E.R. They were afraid that a peice of the blood clot had moved into my brain and caused a small stroke. I was kept for 3 nights to do tests. The diagnosis was "sleep paralysis" Where your mind wakes up and your body stays asleep, it's cause by extreme emotional fatigue and severe sleep deprivation. After that I went home and I've been recovering and almost have all my strength back! This is my first baby, and she is 3.5 months old!
To all you others who gave me motivation thank you! That's what I need!
Ohappydaye...well ok... *moves ticker*

Well, I'm going away for the weekend and wont be posting again until Sunday, see you then!

WOW! You went through so much! I'm glad you are OK now! Have a great weekend! Crazy! Man! What a story! I hope your family lives close by you :D
(for when you were in the hospital) Talk care-Talk to ya soon :p

OMG, what a traumatic set of events you've been through. Are you sure you should be trying to loose weight right now? I want you to take care or yourself missy. I'm worried about you.

Thanks everyone :) Sorry I wasn't on yesterday to post my food, and I wont do it today either :( It's funny you should ask that OHD, because we're not sure if everything's ok. We think I may be pregnant again  It's not on purpose. I can't use hormonal birth control because of the blood clot and we had a condom fail... 9 days later, on Friday, I started spotting, I spotted for about 48 hours and then stopped. It's so hard to tell though, because I have not gotten my period since I had my baby, probably because I'm breastfeeding. But that doesn't mean you can't get pregnant. The scariest thing is that when implantation bleeding occurs, it is on average, 9 days after conception, so we are right on track. I have been so stressed that, although I've been eating healthy, I have not recorded what I ate. I know I've lost about another pound and a half though. My doctor had me do a pregnancy blood test, but it has to be sent to the lab at the hospital, so we won't know until tomorrow. I'll let you guys know how it goes. I'm hoping that I'm not because I just don't think my body is ready to carry another child and I just want Abby to be my little girl for the next few years. Well, wish me luck...

let us know what happens! Your poor body! You have got to put your Hubby on a leash! LOL :p just kidding
If you do have another Baby they will be good friends and keep each other company by Playing.
And you wont have to separate the toys ether (older kid toys and baby toys)
I'm just trying to keep you positive
These are good times;) Smile

I'm with kdel! Look for the silver lining...you'll get 'em both out of the house at the same time! LOL That's what my friends mom said when I asked her why she had her four kids back to back. I thought it was hiliarious! She's a funny lady. Best of luck to you sweetie.

Thanks for helping me see the good in things :) I need help with that sometimes! Well, we got the blood test back and it was negative but the doctor told me it still oculd have been too early to pick up on so I have to have another test done in a several days. We should know for sure then!

In other news I have been doing really well. I lost another pound so I'm really happy with that, especially since I didn't really keep track of what I was eating over the weekend and we went out to two buffets  (my family loves to eat) I just limited myself to one plate of my favorites. So I'm down to 147.5 now. yay! :D Today I was a good girl and counted my calories even though I was extrememly tired and didn't feel like it. Here's what I had today!

Breakfast: granola bar (100)

Snack: grapes (90)

Lunch: 5 fishsticks,1/2 cup mac and cheese,2 tbs.tartar sauce,cheezits (425)

snack: 2 rice cakes (100)

dinner: 2 small gorditas (760)

snack: grapes (90)

beverages 8- 8 0z. glasses crystal light (40)

Total: 1605

Right on track!

This is so weird, I have never see the scale numbers go down before exceot when I had morning sickness when I was pregnant and after I had my baby. All other times I gained weight, slowly... several lbs a year so it snuck up on me and all of a sudden I was fat and didn't know how I had gotten that way. It's so empowering to see that I can have control over how much I weigh. Anyway, things are going great for me and I think it's partly due to everyone's encouragement :)

well congrats on the new tax deduction your holding. The condom fail thing been there, they should really give you a warranty on those things lol...

Hey girlie,
Yayyy for the lost! *OHD stops to shake her pom poms* Keep us posted on the baby situation and keep up the great work in the meantime! *hugs*

I love fresh baby cheeks - just want to munch on them
in my best ike from southpark; "Don't eat the baby...." ok so is supposed to be kick the baby but it's not the first quote I have improvised lol.....

Happy Wednesday!

Just caught up on reading your diary...that's a wonderful avatar you have now! I love it! My little guy is just 4 months now...I love this age! I hope you get the results you want on your next blood test.

Wow! You have been through so much. I hope everything is going well. From what I've heard, most completely healthy mothers find it hard to keep up with everything. You're doing an excellent job getting rid of the excess calories. Pretend I'm your mother as I say "try to sneak some veggies in there, too." *laugh*

BTW, your little one is sooooo cute.

You are doing a terriffic job! With just having a baby and trying to loose weight!! Incredible...no really I mean it! Keep up the good work and have a nice evening!:)

Thanks so much for the encouragement everyone! I try to find time to write in all of your diaries too! It really does help so much.. Especially because I know that I have to report to all of you :p dariqueen, Congratualtions on your little 4 month old! Abby will be 4 months in 11 days, she's getting so big!! blackwdw, he he, it's so hard because the only veggies I like have lots of vitamin K, which I have to stay away from. I really do love salads and stuff though. In fact, I am off of my coumadin right now, waiting to see if I'm pregnant and I had the pleasure of eating a salad today, I was so happy, I'll also be eating one for the next couple of days. You guys are so great, I love you!

Well today went good as far as food goes, as far as life goes... I'm really tired and today I found a little infection by my daughters nail, it was red and you could see the green pus under the skin. So we took her to the express care clinic, they cut it open and drained it. They were expecting her to cry a river and she never let out of peep. But now I have to soak it and put antibiotic cream on it 4 times a day. tomorrow we take her to the pediatric neurologist in a different city so expect some restaurant or fastfood to be on my menu :p As for today, I did really good. Here's my menu!

Breakfast: 2 rice cakes (100)

Lunch: Salad (romaine, broccoli, cauiflower, carrots, croutons, grilled chicken and french dressing) (330)

Snack: cheez-its (260)

Dinner: 2 gorditas (760)

Snack: grapes (90)

Beverages: 8-8 oz. glasses crystal light (40)

Total 1580, doing great. Today's my weigh in day and I'll be moving my ticker to 147.5!
