New Year, New Start - Success in 2014!

I *THINK* I have caught up on diaries LOL. FINALLY after like a month. If I missed anyone I apologize.

Not been an overly productive day at work and have 1 hour left. Debating sneaking out because I want to go to the mall. Want to pick up my old ring (didn't get it fixed) and send away my new one (need it resized and 2 gems (not diamonds) have already fallen out - need them to replace those and perhaps reinforce the claws because obviously they are not good enough). Then I may grab groceries and cook dinner, hopefully with A's help but doubtful. Then I want to go through some invitations online and see if we can find ones we like. Then go through the rest of the questions to ask the hotel we want to move the wedding to, and perhaps send an email to the lady at the current hall noting that we may be cancelling and if we would get any of our deposit back and how much in advance we would have to cancel.

I still feel full (had 3 slices of left over pizza) and don't think a cardio workout would be a good idea right now. Actually I think I'm going to leave soon and stop at Wal-mart. Will go to the mall later tonight after traffic dies down, or this weekend instead.
 
Sounds like the claws do need to be stronger or configured better. I do not miss the days of helping K plan our wedding! I was in charge of reserving the hotel, so your post is bringing back some memories.
 
Yikes, 2 gems already fell out? Hope they can fix it right away. That's not good at all.

I'm happy to see other people find the questions useful! I find that they can be fun to answer, even if the little challenges they pose are something I can't really do. I still come here every day to make sure I check out threads and stay on task.

Glad to hear you're still at 130, even if you only lost half a pound, at least you didn't gain :)
 
2. Describe your dream/goal body.
I would say flat tummy, not flabby. No/little back fat/rolls. Those are probably the main things. I would like more toned arms and legs and butt but those have become less bothersome to me over the years. My tummy however has always been my biggest issue.

I have NOT been wearing the ring since Sunday night since my BIL (sis's hubby) noted there were TWO missing and a THIRD that was about to go. They aren't diamonds, only the center one is, but it should be under warranty anyways. Hoping it doesn't cost too much to strengthen the claws but yes they are quite sad if in a whole month 2 have gone and a third is about to. I'm not THAT harsh on my rings am I? My last one lasted 5 years and I did the same type of part time manual labor job for a while with that one too. Either way, while it will likely feel weird, I think I am going to NOT wear the ring at all once I get it back except for engagement pics, possibly the odd time we go out, and for the wedding itself. Not risking anything else happening to it before the wedding.

Loch: I honestly haven't read all the questions, but I figure as I get to them I can see if I need to change it around at all.

I was 131.5 today *sigh* And I'm pretty sure wet hair would not account for the extra 1.5. Hoping it's the crappy eating making me retain water but time will tell.

MUST look at invitations online this week, and check a couple stores this weekend for DIY ones for cost and look to see what will work best. Invites MUST be ordered by Saturday next weekend. That is my deadline, less than 2 weeks. And that is only because we aren't seeing the hotel until Sunday and won't have it finalized with the booking until sometime next week.

I think that Loch's daily questions are a great idea too. Make sure everyday your really thinking about what you want and why you are here... I lost an amethyst from my necklace I still need to get that replaced... atleast it wasn't one of the diamonds! If I ever get married I feel bad for my MOH because I'm going to be a bridezilla. I get super stressed over special events. Good thing my bestie already knows this and is still stoked to do the honors if I ever meet the one hehe.
 
Ya that's not good your ring is losing it's stones. I have had my rings for a LONG time (I have no idea how long) and they have never once lost a stone and I ride horses, and groom dogs for a living. However my rings are 'flat' with the stones 'inlaid'? I guess you would say, and I imagine that helps. Good luck making it through your huge long list of questions!
 
131.5 again this morning, but also TOM so shall see how that changes next week. Perhaps finally into the 120s, that would be great! Haven't been there since High School I think.

Mystic: I think the flat ring and having them inlaid probably does help. This one sticks out more and I assume the claws just keep getting snagged on stuff. Definitely need that fixed, just hoping it doesn't cost a ton more to do it. Guess I'll find out soon enough *sigh*. Must also call my house insurance company and ask them how it works if I put the ring on my plan, if I lose gems how easy is it to go through the process of having it fixed every time. If it's easy and the cost is too high right now to strengthen it I may put it off for now.

3. Is your UGW in an unhealthy range of BMI?
My current BMI is 24 (at 131.5) which is within the normal range. At 115 my BMI would be 21 which is still normal. To be unhealthy/underweight I'd have to hit 100 (101 is 18.5, right on the border) and I HIGHLY doubt I'm gonna lose that much weight. I think I'd be too skinny for my liking at that point.

Being TOM I have bad craps and last night work really sucked. Hoping today is better. I took tylenol before bed which I think helped me sleep, taking one this morning and another before I leave here for my other job, and perhaps another when I get home tonight. They are Extra strength I believe, the 500mg ones so I only need the 1 usually to help me. Also took my iron pill again yesterday which I need to do again today when I eat lunch. I did bring a slice of lemon meringue pie leftover from Saturday, as well as a bag of Salt & Vinegar chips. Going to TRY not to eat it all but no guarantees. Also craving chocolate, might cave tonight and buy a caramilk bar. Or if I make it to Walmart get Caramilk or Riesen from there. Or Skor! Haven't had Skor or Crunchie in forever. K this is not good...bad chocolate cravings! *smacks hand*

Lots to do for work this morning though so guess I better eat breakfast quickly and get to it!

I keep forgetting about the table. And then I realized I'm halfway to goal but it wasn't a goal on my table LOL. The table itself with the weight kinda sucks because I have so NOT kept with the goals so I had to change them yet again. Wanting this month to be different and to actually hit a goal but so far no luck.

I think I'm going to skip this one. I just don't think I can do it because I eat cereal in the morning with milk, I plan on chicken sandwich for lunch, and honestly just don't want to have to think about it.

5. What is your favorite healthy food?
Well this is a tough one. Hmm....there are a few but I guess carrots and apples would be the top of the list. I like lettuce and broccoli and celery too and mushroom are good for you aren't they?

Yesterday I ended up eating cereal in the morning, drinking coke and water, I did have my iron pill, ate a bunch of salt & vinegar chips, and then a peanut butter sandwich before leaving work. At my break in the evening I had another peanut butter sandwich and also caved and bought a Caramilk. BUT I didn't eat all of it. 4-6 pcs I think, the rest is in my purse likely for tonight. *sigh*

Mystic: I start at 8:30 in the morning, finish at 5, go straight to next one for 5:30, and usually off around 10:30 give or take. Evening job I can snack while working, just drink water and eat something on my 15min break. But my day job I could snack all day really, I eat while working, and it's not always good. Must eat the carrots in my fridge today...

Starting to give up on that job I applied to. It was through a placement agency and I haven't heard anything. Previously when I've applied through agencies I get a call back to see what other jobs I would be interested in so that if it doesn't work with that one they can put me in for others. *sigh* starting to think I'm going to be stuck at this job and other dead end take it to make ends meet jobs for the rest of my life.

6. What is your favorite unhealthy food?
I would have to say popcorn and chips. And certain candy like skittles and sour patch kids. And of course Coke...it is evil...but taste SOOO good....K I don't like this question. Now I want all that stuff.
 
Wow, how do you handle that work schedule?! I'm currently stuck working 6 days a week, but it's max 8-9 hours, and I STILL think that my life sucks right now! I am dreading next week cause I'll be sorta working 2 jobs but that's only gonna be for thursday-sun and only add maybe 3 hours to each day!
 
Totally missed doing my questions yesterday so here are the 2 for today:
7. What is your least favorite healthy food?
I have lots. Like brussel sprouts and most fish (will generally eat shrimp, prawns, and fried fish, and also canned tuna for tuna fish sandwiches if I make them)
8. Write your current weight. Have you lost anything in the past week? If not, what are your plans for this week?
Today I weighed in at 131. That's 0.5 lbs less than yesterday (surprising because I drank and ate lots of crappy foods yesterday). But it's 1lb up from last Saturday. Hoping to eat better this week, drink more water, and perhaps try to fit in some exercise since that is hugely lacking.

Picked up my old engagement ring today - never got it fixed because we got a new one and because of the cost right now, would cost the same or more to fix than it cost to purchase initially. Also sent my new engagement ring off because there are 2 stones already missing (had it a month) and I need it resized, it's a touch too big. Also saw the rooms at the hotel that we would use for the wedding if we switched locations. Definitely a better locations for a bunch of reasons. Must get all my questions together tomorrow and email/call the lady to get all my ducks in a row. Not paying $1100 deposit to find that things we were getting at the other place we can't do here. Also, if I hadn't mentioned before, we COULD get the deposit at the old hall back if they manage to rent it on that date to someone else. So I want them to rent it so I get my deposit, but also hope they don't because I don't want them to get any more money. Or if they do hopefully it is just a room rental, no food etc being done.

Anyways, sucks that daylight savings ended today, lost an hour of sleep. Yet somehow it still feels later than it is...Oh well. Another busy week this week! Work my 2nd job Mon-Wed, plan to see my mom on Thurs to go over all the ceremony plans so we can sort out timing and get the invites done, and gotta finalize the location and all those details and then start figuring out decor.

Mystic: I think it helps that I always have Saturday and Sunday off. And now I seem to only do 3 nights a week at the other job. And really it's not terrible because in reality I generally would get much done anyways at home on those nights. But it will be nice if I get a new job that pays more and is in Payroll, then I could possibly quit the second job and look into it again if/when we get pregnant cuz I'd likely rather do that part time until kids are in school rather than do a full time day job. Also noticed a typo in my last post...my evening job I CAN'T snack while working, only on my 15 min break. But it's not a big deal.
 
9. What is your favorite type of cardio?
Honestly? I haven't a clue. I guess I need to test this out because I definitely need more cardio in my day. I don't mind the bikes at the gym, but I don't have or want a gym membership and don't have one at home. If I'm not too tired after work tonight (LOL!) maybe I will try one of the dance games again. Spent the money on it, really should use it.

Also need to do some number crunching and see if it's really worth it to have the second job. It is giving us an extra 800-1000+ a month extra, but I think it will be affecting our taxes at the end of the year. Really do NOT want to owe money this year, never have and want it to stay that way. Need to find out if we have all our documents and get that done, then I can see if it is going to be worth it or not to keep the second job.

Weighed in at 131.5 this morning. 0.5 up from yesterday, still haven't hit the 120s. ARGH! I did eat late last night after having had a huge late lunch and not being hungry.
 
It's almost noon and I am NOT in a working mood today. It is rare that I have a day I actually want to work and put in a good amount of effort. Frankly I'd rather be home planning my wedding, or at a different job. If I could I'd probably walk out, or just do the bare minimum until I got fired or something. But sadly I need the job and need the money. And while generally it's not a bad job, it does seriously suck. Really hoping I find a new job and soon. Getting to the point where I will take any half decent office position that will pay enough, but really wanting to get into a payroll position. Hope something comes up soon, even if it is for a little less pay to start. *sigh*
 
10. Do you count calories? If so, what is your daily limit?
Not really lately. I was trying at one point, trying for right around 1200 cals, but haven't been lately. And while I feel I probably should I just don't feel like it.

131 this morning. Started the day with a 20 minute nosebleed. Was in a crappy mood yesterday and not any better today. Feeling very emotional and kinda depressed and really wishing we had a good pile in savings so I could do the bare bare minimum at work, only do half days, and literally sit back and wait to get fired, or quit just before that. Then I could take some time off, just work part time in the evening, plan the wedding, and look for a job later. You have no idea how good that sounds right now and how serious I am of actually trying to find a way to make that work.

I applied to a few jobs yesterday, might try to go for a few more today. I do have some work that I need to do, and while I really don't want to I am going to try and find the motivation to do it.

Also still need to email the lady about the hotel and all the other questions I have to ask her so we can finalize the booking, pay the deposit and get moving on this.
 
Ick about the jobs. I've done two jobs at a time before, not pretty. I feel your pain. Sometimes I feel like quitting my current job, I've been here 5 years and I make just above minimum wage. Whenever minimum wage goes up, my raises disappear. It's an easy job, so that's pretty much the only reason I stay.

Hang in there, life will get better, you just have to keep your head up. I actually kind of envy you! You may be 15lb away from goal, but I'm 128! I wish I were in your shoes, even if it's a constant gain/maintain/lose. Feel proud that you've gotten this far!
 
Good luck with the last 15, I'm in the same boat. We can do it! I really love the Q & A thing going on as well -- everyone should do that haha.
