New Year, New Start - Success in 2014!

Glad to hear from you.

Cleaning can actually burn a good number of calories! I use that as an excuse to clean the store haha. It needs to get done, and I can burn some calories.

I get monday off too! I use it as my "low calorie" day. I eat veggies, drink lots of water, and relax all day. It helps me feel flushed out and refreshed. Sometimes I need it because I feel so overloaded :(.

Have fun with quality time! And remember, one day at a time ;)

131.5 this morning with wet hair. Finally below 132 again. Still annoyed that I'm not in the 120s yet - hope that changes this week. Grr. Been super busy with both jobs and while this past weekend was a long weekend I didn't get near everything done that I wanted to. And now we may be switching halls for the wedding and changing from the Saturday to the Sunday for the wedding. Need to figure out pricing to see if it would be worth switching and go from there. Bad thing is if I change dates one of my mom's brothers may not be able to make it. Also while the Tuesday is Canada Day and a stat holiday, not everyone will have the Monday off so it might make for an earlier night - not sure if that's good or bad to be honest. Or we can see if a late lunch reception would be better/cheaper? I dunno, we shall see. Perhaps we need to also talk with our wedding party and see if it would still work for them or not to do it on the Sunday instead of the Saturday. And still have to apply for that Payroll position today. Hoping it isn't too busy - would like to stop at the bank today and I need to deliver a booth since I never got it setup to ship yesterday.

So according to the February challenge I am UP 0.5 lbs from the start of the month, and I need to lose 9.5 this week to catch up to my goal. This is NOT looking good AT ALL.

Yesterday started off horribly, won't go into the details, but ended not so bad.

Hoping today is productive. Leaving in about an hr to meet my mom and sis to find sari's for my and A's mom for the wedding. Have lots to do at home since I was out all day yesterday and hope to get in some exercise other than the walking that will accompany the shopping.

I hope everyone is doing well - sorry I have been so busy I have not been able to read/post in anyone's diaries.

.5 is better than 1lb. It's not worth beating yourself up over. You have the power to get back on track and reach your goals, it's when we beat ourselves up and let the whole week go bad that we're hurting ourselves :(.

I was worried about my month as well, and then I had a great loss yesterday. I didn't expect it.

Reevaluate what you're doing and try again. The closer to goal you are, the harder it is to get the lb off!

131 again this morning.

Thanks Loch, you are right. I can't beat myself up over it otherwise I feel like eating horribly and feeling sorry for myself, which looking back I think I kinda have been. This does NOT help the situation and will NOT help me lose weight. IT MUST STOP.

I need to eat better, and less. I think I still eat too much in terms of portion size. I need to eat more lettuce, cucumbers, carrots, and celery and less rice and pasta. Need to DRINK MORE WATER! I have been trying but lately I've also been drinking Coke to try keep me awake and not so tired and yawning. But that isn't going to help me.

I also need to EXERCISE. This walking on the spot and pacing in the office is not going to do anything. I need to do cardio. Period. There is no way around it, it is the only way I will lose weight. So that is what I must do.

I was hoping to get the day off tonight but sadly I did get called in, guess it's a good thing though cuz we need the money. I have been procrastinating at work all day playing games on my phone and going on Facebook, must actually do some personally and work related things today so I don't feel overwhelmed with everything tomorrow. Also NEED to apply for that dang job that I STILL haven't applied for. GAH!!! Luckily for some odd reason it is STILL posted, THANK GOD!! Can't keep putting that off though.

Going to make a quick list and start actually doing them today, like now.

131.5 this morning :(

But small victory! I was tempted to bring another can of Coke to work but I resisted. Super tired but figure I don't work tonight so I will survive.

Drank a fair bit of water yesterday but my skin is super dry and itchy still so I think I'm still dehydrating and this cold, dry weather is not helping that. Must drink more water today.

I have leftover steak and corn for lunch and brought a potato to bake in the microwave as well. Haven't had breakfast but I'm hungry so going to have some cereal right now. Hopefully I can get a proper workout in sometime today.

Oh and I FINALLY applied for that job yesterday. Hoping to hear back soon. Which reminds me, must change my voice mail so it doesn't state my current employer hehe.

Ended up being called in to work last night. I am super tired. Shut off my last alarm this morning and fell back to sleep, woke up in time to sign in for work, shower super quick, and get here just after 9 (office opens at 9 but I start at 8:30). Still super tired and need food.

Didn't weight in this morning - forgot with all the rushing to get ready. Have about 30-60 ish mins before a client comes here so need to clean up a bunch. Also have 2 frames to repair, 1 of which I don't have parts for even though they should have arrived yesterday. Grr.. Hoping the rest of the day gets better!

Thanks Q! No news yet, hoping I do get a call for an interview. NEED a new job!

Weighed 130.5 this morning with wet hair. Back to my lowest low :) Let's hope it goes down more tomorrow!

I have been craving Pizza...and Pizza 73 has a deal right now for pizza and wing meal with coke for $20-30 and you get a 2 for 1 cineplex movie coupon. I REALLY want pizza...didn't get it yesterday and I'm looking at the nutrition info trying to stop craving it but it's not working. I have food here at work, have stuff for turkey sandwiches, but I still want the dang pizza and wings. Stupid coupons. Stupid pizza. Trying to stay strong cuz I'm sure we will order pizza on Saturday for A's birthday thing but still. Grr...

I used to order a pizza at work every couple of days. Look at the facts.

If you get a basic 12" pizza, that's about 8 slices. Each slice is 200-300 depending on toppings. That's 1600 - 2400 calories. Seems crazy, but it's true. Now factor in those delicious wings. Basic, no flavor wings have about 90 calories per wing. You typically get 8-12 wings in a box, that's 720 - 1080. A can of coke is...160? Depending on if you're sharing or not, between two people...1600 + 720 / 2 = 1160 + 160 = 1302. That's a lot of calories for one meal.

But that isn't to say that you can't treat yourself. This is a matter of self-control and balance. If you eat light during the day, and make sure you eat a smaller portion... 2 slice (400) 3 wings (270) drink (save calories by drinking water or diet soda) = 670 calories. You can still have what you want, just in smaller portions. This means, however, that unless your significant other wants the other 6 slices and extra wings you'll have leftovers. That can mean another treat tomorrow, a slice of pizza at lunch is only 200 and satisfies your craving.

I would eat a large pizza to myself and sometimes a full box of wings or bread sticks. Sick. That's one way to really hurt your body. Now when I crave pizza I have 1 slice from the pizza shop near by, or I'll heat up 2 McCain's mini pizza's for 360 calories. Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels. That's what I tell myself when I walk by the THREE pizza shops on my way home.

Keep your mind strong and you'll do great ^^ good luck with the job! Hope they call you! And I hope the breakdown of calories puts the whole pizza endeavor in perspective.

Pizza and wings used to be big temptations for me. Now, it's Olive Garden. The only Olive Garden in BC is about 5 mins away from my place. Mmmmmm Italian Feast - Chicken Parm, Fettucini Alfredo and Cheese Ravioli. You know that's packing about 2000 calories in one meal! And my boss gave me a $50 gift card as a thank you for delivering some keys. How'd she know?! LOL. Saving it for a cheat meal... they let you share or you can pack half up to go right away and save it for another time.

Facts: Small Veggie Pizza (I'm get pineapple, green pepper, mushroom since it's a 2-topper pizza but I want 3 :p) is about 960 cals in total. Boneless wings 200 cals for 3 plus about 10cals for the hot sauce so total of about 533 cals there. SO total would be right about 1500. Now I'd not eat all in one day, but even half is a lot of cals. Then again I wouldn't eat much more than that.

Another Fact: I REALLY want pizza and wings. And now also the poutine and triple chocolate brownie cheesecake that is on the site. But I would be happy with pizza and wings.

I was starving yesterday and feels the same today. For some reason what I'm eating is not keeping me satisfied, nor is drinking water. Seriously I feel like I haven't eaten all day and I swear I just had a sandwich less than 2 hours ago.

Yup I'm doing it. Ordering the pizza. But only the small, not the medium or large. Not good but I'll drink LOTS of water and I won't eat it all. Was planning on making lasagna tonight but I think A has leftover pizza from his dinner yesterday so perhaps I'll just grate and freeze the cheese for later.

little_star! Welcome back!! It's great to see you still kicking around :)

Well I weighed in Saturday expecting a gain because of the pizza, but I was at 130!!! My lowest low yet, YAY!!! Which went to hell with A's bday and me drinking tons of yummy liquor and eating more pizza, wings, and chips. :piggy: But that's OK. Just means I need to work hard to lose it again. Haven't weight in yet this morning but I don't have high hopes. Need to make sure I do lots of cardio this month and try to hit my goal.

My sig shows 115 by Mar 15th which is impossible but that's OK. Sadly I was 130.5 on Jan 31st so that means I lost a whole 0.5 lbs in a month, that is NOT OK!!!

Height: 5'2" approx
Weight: 132 this morning *ick*
Goal: 120 (possibly less, will see when I get there)

I am losing weight to look good, feel good, be healthier, and give myself more confidence. I will consider it a success when I stop feeling ugly and am not ashamed of wearing a bikini without a shirt over top. I also hope this process will get me more in shape, and in this case ROUND is NOT a shape. I want to feel sexy and believe him when A tells me I'm beautiful because honestly I don't think I've ever really felt beautiful and I think that is sad.
