New beginnings, new journey

AI had two tubs of ice cream this evening....It wasn't healthy though :(
Thanks for your support sweetie. I am so determined to keep going. :)

Kate- I'm sure you could've done a LOT worse. I know you're gunna smash it out this week!

I'm so snuggly this morning, REALLY don't want to get out of bed. Boo. Seriously this never happens, normally I'm up at 5 itching to do something but it's SUCH a nice morning...boo, and it's the day I'm going back to work lol. My legs are feeling much better today, not cramping anywhere near as much or as tight as before. Think I'm going to cancel that doctors appointment. It'll be a short work day though, I think I'll start at 9 and go home when Wade does at around 3pm, I'll have a lunch break in that time too. Don't really see myself being able to work 8+ hours on my feet after being practically confined to a bed for almost two weeks!

Food today

Breakfast: Ice-cream with rice milk (ran outta almond, the local supermarket only sells rice) 2 bananas, Amazing grass choc powder and a tablespoon of coconut chocolate butter

Snack: Pure Organics Choc Brownie Bar (like a Larabar, it's made just of dried fruit and nuts)

Lunch: 2 sunflower seed crackers with cheese, and tomato (if I have some in my fridge)

Snack: Caraway seed crackers, 30g

Dinner: 2 eggs on brown rice toast (had a craving for eggs yesterday!)

So no exercise... I think this week will be all shorter work days, then hopefully I can be doing longer work days again by next week or the week after. Got to get there comfortably before I even think about walking again as well!

Oh and yesterday was another perfect day, so that was 4 down, just today to go... and then tomorrow is weigh day! Eep!

5 perfect days down... and tomorrow is weigh in, boo! Not really expecting a great one, started off with 3 bad days (while we were away, lol) and spent the rest of the week on my ass trying to let my legs get better. We shall see... I'm hoping I'll at least be 67.5kg or less!!!

Work was ok today, I didn't have to do much walking around but when I did I could only be up for 20mins or so, so I spread out putting stuff up over the whole day and kept sitting to do other things. Did a lot of my work for tomorrow so hopefully tomorrow will be a shorter day too. Legs were ok, no cramps or pain at all in my calves by the end of the day because I'd been up and about, but my knees were fairly stiff and swollen again. They went down pretty much straight away anyway, look fairly normal now. Jumped (lies, HOBBLED) into the pool after work with Wade briefly- it was 40 degrees here today so was nice to cool off!! The cold water felt weird on my legs though and they stiffened up really fast, so got out and chilled out.

Cancelled my docs appt since I'm a lot better today than I have been, went and spoke to the pharmacist about my calves cramping and she gave me a rub for it and told me to eat more salt. I told her what I've been eating and drinking and she reckons not much of what I eat has salt in it, and I've been diluting any that I have been getting with all the water I drink through the day lol. So more salt planned for the week!

Oh and I was being all organised- after an hour of putting my feet up my knees were almost normal again, so I cooked up a pack of quinoa pasta and organised salads for myself for lunches the rest of the week. Aren't I a good lil chipmunk!

Tomorrows food plan

Breakfast: Usual ice-cream, this time with bananas, Amazing grass choc powder, rice milk, and 2 tablespoons of choc peanut butter (mm salty)

Lunch: Salad with quinoa pasta, a tin of salmon in spring water, cherry tomatoes, cup of spinach, and a tablespoon of zesty Portugese dressing (more salt!)

Dinner: 2 pieces of brown rice toast with spinach and grilled cheese

Don't really have any snacks planned as it's going to be a weird day- I'll be starting work at 6am and finishing (hopefully) around 12pm if someone can take me home. So breakfast I made a huge meal, as I'll be eating it at 5am, lunch is a big meal as well and I'll probably be eating at around 10:30ish (if I can last that long) and I reckon I'll probably have dinner late in the arvo. That gives me a 1000cal deficit so I have room for a snack if I need it... I think whether I do or not will depend on my weigh in and what I decide to aim for for the month!

Things seem to be going very well, such a good lil chipmunk indeed! haha

I really want to try that home made ice-cream  with bananas! love bananas.

A:hurray: :hurray: :hurray: Yay 5 perfect days!!!! :hurray: :hurray: :hurray:

You are a good little chipmunk :)

So glad your leg is starting to improve, you will be back to yourself before you know it

I've got everything crossed for a weightloss for you tomorrow, you have worked so hard, you deserve a loss!!!

67.4kg! So 400g, which I am completely fine with considering everything this week. Decided I am going to aim for a whole kg this week, decided I'm going to try for 65kg this month!

Anyhoo, I'm off to work!

Could walk around a lot easier today, the cramping in my calves only bothered me getting out of bed then I was fine. Way less stiffness in my knees too. HOWEVER, I noticed when I got home from worm my ankles were swollen- not like OMG CANKLES swollen, but like my-ankle-bones-are-a-bit-less-defined swollen. Was mostly around the back of my ankles, like on my Achilles... wonder if that's from my calves cramping? Or from being sedentary for 2 weeks and suddenly walking around/sitting like a normal person for an extended period of time (at home my legs are either out in front of me, or raised while I'm lying down to get rid of any swelling in my knees). Not worried yet, cuz like I said I've just started walking around and stuff again, but if it keeps happening and my knees are still swelling heaps by the end of the week then I'll be responsible and go back to the doctor. Just feel like having weak knees has put pressure on my calves and ankles and now my legs are outta whack. Boo!

On a positive note, had a wonderfully healthy day, my salad tasted AMAZING, and I ended on a 964 cal deficit.

Working again tomorrow at 6am, going to see if Wade can take me home again at 12pm (got out at around 12:30pm today). Spent (and still spending) my afternoon playing Assassin's Creed Brotherhood lol... haven't played it for yonks, thought I'd get it finished seeing as I've pre-ordered the next one which is coming out next month!

Anyhoo, thought I may as well post tomorrows food now too.

Breakfast: Homemade icecream, this one with rice milk, banana, Amazing grass chocolate powder, and a tablespoon of chocolate coconut butter.

Lunch: Salad with quinoa pasta, tinned premium salmon in springwater, cherry tomatoes, spinach and zesty portugese dressing

Snack: Raw cacao energy bar

Dinner: 2 large sunflower crackers with vege spread

Random food again, as I'm working the same as I did today. So 2 huge meals in the morning to get me through work, then a couple of light ones to get me through my afternoon of gaming... lol.

A:hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: Well done on your weightloss sweetie!!!!! That is so cool seing as you had a weekend away and have been so laid up with your legs. So so pleased for you!!!

Glad your legs are getting there. Xxx

Woweee this week is already going so fast. Today I only worked 6am-10am, 2 hours of that was walking around and then it just got too much... and if I'd worked any longer, it would've just been more walking around, so I went home. Working something like 9-3 tomorrow, booked another doctors appointment so the store manager will leave me alone (I think she thinks I'm milking it or something... uhm, NO, I actually DON'T like not working and being poor) So yea, doc appt at 4.40pm tomorrow, woot... Hopefully they can prescribe another anti-inflammatory too, as Advil (ibuprofen) that I normally take is turning my stomach now. *SIGH* Why is life not simple? Also going to mention that my ankles have been swelling since I started work, make sure everything is healing as it should etc. Poo, I really do hate doctors though.

On another note, 2 perfect days down and 5 to go! I feel like I'm cheating because the week is going so fast, I haven't even thought about food. Anyhoo, plan for tomorrow:

Breakfast: Normal ice-cream with 1 cup almond milk, 1 banana, scoop of Amazing grass chocolate powder, and a tablespoon of choc coffee coconut butter (YUM COFFEE ICECREAM WITH MY COFFEE!!! Who's excited? This kitten!!)

Snack: Natural apple and cinnamon bar

Lunch: Salad with quinoa pasta, salmon in springwater, spinach leaves, cherry tomatoes and zesty Portugese dressing

Dinner: I'm going to be super slack since I've been so good... going to have a bag of Popchips, haha! (Ahem, got to get that salt in!)

Exercise is nothing. At. All. <------------------------Going InSaNe--------------------------------->

Thanks Irish, I know you'll get back on track too. Don't beat yourself up, like I said in your diary, it's never too late you just have to keep trying!

Well people... I think at the beginning of my diary I posted that I bought a heap of dresses online. Well. They are all now too big! So they didn't really get much wear... but I'm not complaining! When we went away last week we pretty much bought my husband a whole new wardrobe, but I didn't try anything on or anything because of my sore legs... Well, I kinda used that to explain I needed a couple more things for my wardrobe. So I ordered a few more clothes!! Here's what I ordered if you're interested:

http://www.citybeach.com.au/en/womens/dresses/237904_roxy-crystal-voyager-maxi-dress

http://www.citybeach.com.au/en/womens/dresses/248244_mooloola-keep-rolling-dress

http://www.citybeach.com.au/en/womens/dresses/248231_mooloola-iddy-middy-beach-dress (got this one in blue not black)

Got a pair of sandals too: http://www.citybeach.com.au/en/footwear/womens/sandals/245427_mooloola-cutty-sandal

And I bought all size 10s (Aus/Euro size 10, think that's a 6 or 8 or something US?) I'm very in-between sizes, but yea size 12s are definitely too big.

Got the doc appointment today... don't know if I mentioned how much I hate doctors?? Pretty sure whatever I did to my knees is causing bad circulation or something, since my feet are swelling now... either that or I'm not used to walking around and sitting. Maybe both. Calves are still getting a lot better, I just got up and walked around straight away this morning without having to rub them or anything.

Had a lovely little lie in with hubby this morning too, we accidentally left the air con on last night and we were both FREEZING when we woke up this morning!! So that equaled snuggles, lol! Not sure when I'm working today yet, hubby is starting late so I think I might just go in when he starts at 10-11ish and then leave with Wade at around 3pm-ish... or I'll get him to drop me off at 9am. I haven't decided.

Just got back from the doctors... I have inflamed tendons in my quads above my knees (not bad, but it's still my tendons... and inflammation... does that = tendonitis?). My knees are fine when I get up in the morning because they've been resting, but after a bit of walking around they stiffen and swell because well, they're still slightly inflamed but I need to use them to walk around. Argh, doc just said keep doing what I'm doing... ice my knees several times a day, massage my legs with stuff if I need to, and try to keep off my feet for long periods of time. It's shit.

Hey, at least it's nothing really serious! That's my positive take on it. It just really really sucks, because I have a job that is based mainly on my feet. Sure there is stuff I can do tomorrow and next week, but when the person I'm taking over from comes back then she's back with the only mostly seated job in the whole freakin shop! He didn't even say anything about the cramping in my calves or the swelling in my ankles, said it's all related and I just have to take it easy and let it heal. Hoping in a week or two I'll be waaay better and be able to return to work as normal.

So poos. I'm in a poopy mood.

Food tomorrow:

Breakfast: Homemade ice cream with banana, almond milk, tart cherry butter, Artisana coconut butter, and Amazing grass chocolate powder

Snack: 1 row of raw peppermint chocolate

Lunch: Salad with quinoa pasta, salad dressing, tinned salmon, cherry tomatoes and mixed salad greens with carrot and beetroot (didn't buy spinach, it only had 2 days before it's use by!)

Dinner: Instant yellow dal (Indian lentil curry-type thing)

Bought that tart cherry butter for a reason without even realising it! Supposed to be awesome for inflammation... and it tastes really good too.

Diet went slightly off track today, I say slightly because I didn't go over maintenance, just up to it. Was just extra hungry, and had a kinda eff it, it's Friday thing going on. Been snacking on popchips and raw dark peppermint chocolate since I got back from work. Oh I got back early, you won't believe why... I had been given a really long and boring seated job of laminating and then cutting out over 200 tickets... about 3/4 of the way through cutting them up, I freakin SPRAINED my THUMB with the scissors. I have to be the only person I know that can injure themselves sitting down while ALREADY injured! Pitiful!!

Don't worry, I'm planning on getting right back on being perfect over the weekend... 6 perfect days in a week is ok with me. I've got a chart on my computer of my weekly weight loss and the beginning of the third week for the passed few months has ALWAYS had a gain... not planning on letting that happen this week!! Want to lose a whole kg this week!

Tomorrows plan

Breakfast: Homemade icecream with almond milk, banana, 2 tbsp of dark choc peanut butter, scoop of Amazing grass chocolate powder

Snacks (for throughout the whole day): Raw dark chocolate with almond and purple corn

Lunch: Salmon and vegetable instant salad thing

Dinner: 2 sunflower lunch slice crackers with vegetable salsa

And lots of Xbox! (Lucky I sprained my right thumb, it's the button pressing one not the joystick one! Lol)

hahahaha oh you poor thing, hope that thumb gets better, yeah it does get like that sometimes that insatiable urge!! :willy_nilly:

Best of luck with losing 1kg! you can do it!!!

Food for the day was COMPLETELY different. Felt energetic (ish) this morning so I decided to make dal... so threw it together in my slow cooker and it smelled SO GOOD all day! Just finished a HUGE bowl of it. YUM. So had my breakfast ice-cream, then a raw cashew and spirulina bar and a salad around lunch time, and dal for dinner.

Food plan for tomorrow:

Breakfast: Homemade ice-cream with 1 cup almond milk, banana, scoop of Amazing grass chocolate powder and a tablespoon of cashew coconut butter

Snack: Coconut creme larabar

Lunch: 2 sunflower seed lunch slices with vege salsa spread

Snack: Caraway crackers

Dinner: Dal

So 1 perfect day down, and 2 to go till weigh in day! Also I ended up finishing Assassins Creed last night... so spent my day playing La Noire, it's been a while. Forgot how much fun it was!!

AHeya sweetie

So sorry for being AWOL but i'm in a much better headspace today and catching up with everyones diaries :)

Oooooh size 10 clothes!!!!! :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: So chuffed for ya sweetie :)

:smilielol5: I can't believe with all the problems with your legs that you actually managed to sprain your thumb!!! :smilielol5: with a pair of scissors :smilielol5: Sorry to laugh hun but......You really know how to batter your body :) Oh, at least it didn't impeed the playing of x box!!!! :smilielol5: Hope it's better now.

And, like Princess, whats DAL???

Irish- I'm hoping I'll get a good number also, I'm pretty sure I will though I think I can actually SEE a difference this week which is a good sign!

Kate- Yay, glad to see you're back and in good spirits. Yea I think I officially am the most uncoordinated individual out there... I've managed to injure myself so many times in the few months I've been up here, it's beyond ridiculous. I think it's funny how my husband can only shake his head when I do something now, it seems to happen a fair bit!

Oh and both you lovely ladies- Dal is an Indian curried lentil dish. It's lentils with onion and spices, and usually you serve it with rice but I like to make it really thick and eat it like a curried soup-type thing. Because I can't stand for long at the moment (and I shouldn't be lol) I used this recipe: http://silverwraith.com/recipe/?r=24&c=4. I only used 5 cups of water and I used fresh garlic (2 cloves, think next time I'll use 3 or 4) and ginger (about a 2cm square cube grated), and I used a tsp and a half of chili powder. It makes a HUGE amount, then I divide it by 4 and each serving fills up a whole bowl for a little over 300cals. Nom nom nom.

I managed a sleep in this morning! Well, till 7am, but I normally wake up between 5-6am every morning. It was lovely! Another lazy day at home for me. Awesome...
