New beginnings, new journey

These days it seems whenever I go to bed, I still wake up at 6am. Starting to feel pretty tired after 2 nights in a row going to bed after 11pm! Damn you body clock!! Coffee time I think!


Todays plan

Breakfast: Baked oatmeal (I think I've got a fave recipe for this now, it's tasting like a big fat slightly chewy pancake)

Snack: Sausage

Lunch: Spinach and rocket penne

Snack: Lite cheese and crackers

Dinner (or lunch break at work): 2 wholemeal grain sandwiches with ham and salad


Exercise today is a 30min walk.
 
AK so was a bit bad tonight, was so damn tired and I was craving every kind of junk food I could think of. Ended up eating 2 steamed dim sims and just over half a takeaway seafood me goreng (rice, seafood and veg). Don't think I ate over maintenance, probably about even. So I have 3 days to bust my ass to get a good result for Tue! 3 perfect days to go!
 
Ah hun you didnt do any damage, your idea of breaking out is my idea of breakfast haha:)

Thanks Ski and Irish, haha I was SOOO hungry and got that food and was way too full to even finish it. Definitely a good thing, I know if I'd bought lollies and chocolate and chips and everything else I was fantasizing about it would have been a lot worse! I won't overdo it, I'm just going to stick to my 1000cal deficit and do my normal exercise.


Had the BEST sleep last night, which I definitely needed! Caught up on a few episodes of Doctor Who with hubby and he fell asleep way before I started to... haha always amazes me how he can just fall asleep on the couch, or on the floor, or wherever he is if he's tired. Used to happen all the time if we went to the cinema together after work, he'd sleep through most of it. There's no cinema up here though, so no chance of that happening for a while!


Oo exciting news too, we live about a 6 hour drive away from a well known holiday destination... planning to drive there a couple of nights next month for our 2 year wedding anniversary! I'm so excited, I haven't had the chance to go anywhere in Australia (even though I've been here my whole life) and this place is known for being amazingly beautiful... Already picked out a 5 star hotel and saving spending money. We hardly ever go away or anything so plan on going all out!

Lunch: 2 wholemeal grain sandwiches with cheese and salad

Snack: Light cheese and crackers
Dinner: Crumbed and herbed barramundi with greek salad


Exercise today is 30mins strength training and a 30min walk. Also I'm working 10am-6:30pm today.
 
Ha I should've known...TOM is here (which would explain yesterday, I rarely feel that flat just because I'm tired!) Did a really good workout this morning, I don't know if it's because I had such a good sleep or because I had extra food to burn off... Anyway, it was awesome! Really don't want to go to work though... Bleh!
 
Hooray, finally I'm nearly at my days off!!! Just have to get through today. I'm starting work at 9.30, will probably finish around 6pm ish or something. And then 2 days of FREEDOM! This has been the longest week ever, I'm so glad stocktake is over.

My broken toe doesn't hurt anymore, just has a bit of a weird bump in it but it's all good. I think that means I'll start c25k next week! I'm also on the look out for a spin class dvd, does anyone know of any? Not much came up in google when I looked.

AOooh C25K!!!!!! I am doing my last 30 minute run today!!!! I can't believe i have actually managed to do it. It's so weird looking back seeing how worried i was going from 1 and a half minutes to 3 minutes. and now i can run solidly for 30 minutes without too much effort. I am totally addicted to it!!!!

Kate- so awesome you've nearly finished it!! I used to run all the time last year, then injured myself at the beginning of this year and never really got back into it. I'm excited to start again!


I woke up in the middle of the night last night with the worst cramps ever, it felt like someone was trying to cut me in half! I lay there for ages before I finally decided to get up and get some painkillers which took forever to work anyway... so it was a pretty crappy sleep all round.

No plans for today, I think I might exercise and do a bit of baking. Might lay in the sun and go for a swim too. I have a bit of cleaning to do but I can spread it over the two days easy enough!!

I just read your post on Jaspers diary and i was like 'oooh a fitness instructor, how cool' So i am gonna quiz you. Hope you don't mind.

My stomach is horendous!!!! Because i have been 260lb in the past, yo-yo dieted, had a baby and never done stomach exercises before it is really gross!!!!! It is definatly better now that i have done crunches, i do normal ones, some with my legs in the air and some to each side. But it is still yuck. I have this ultra non-sexy fold that hangs like a floppy spare tyre (sorry to be so graphic lol) I can't see that going even when i get to a decent weight..........Help please!!!! Tell me what i need to do to get rid of it. Also i don't know what to do about my hips, that area is pretty yuck too any idea would be awesome. My legs are accepable due to all the running i do. I have bingo wings on my arms too :)

I would love to be your little fitness project :)

Days off go way too fast! At least my husband got today off with me!!


Yay we have confirmed dates for our anniversary getaway, we are going the 17th-19th of next month! Which is funny, because it works out to be the date of my final weigh in day for month 2 lol. Oh well...

Ok guys, all the comparison numbers and photos for the month! (not including weight though, I weigh in first thing tomorrow morning) First number is the starting measurement, the second number is what I took today.


Bust- 103cm.....99cm

Waist- 85cm.....81cm

Abs- 95cm.....95cm

Hips- 103m.....98cm

Thighs- 64cm.....62cm

Arms- 32cm.....31cm


Photos- All pics on the left are the start photos, the photos on the right are from today. (I'm not wearing any makeup in the start pics either haha, so I automatically look different! Think my face has slimmed down more than anything this month)











If you can't see a difference, in the first pics I couldn't even do up the shorts and I was hanging over... in the second pic they're done up AND no bulges!


Will post final weigh in for the month tomorrow morning. Also I've written up a new exercise plan for the month, will share if anyone is interested in what exercise I'm doing. I've got a new strength program and instead of walking on in between days, I'll be doing c25k.

I see what you mean about the shorts! They fit you perfect now. You have such a lovely shape and a smooth stomach (totally jealous!!!) You are really looking awesome.
Your boobs are smaller too!! Are you cool with that? I bet your hubby isn't. That is the only thing Mark sulks about with my weight loss. lol

You really look amazing girl.. I wouldn't give a shit what the scales said when i could see a difference like you have.

You have done sooo well and I'm jealous of ur motivation and determination.

70.1kg today, and I'm so not even upset about the extra 100g lol. My goals for this month are to get to 68kg, and focus a bit more on my food. Really want to cut down on the processed stuff and avoid anything with added sugar- I always used to but I've gotten so lazy! I baked a couple of banana bread loaves yesterday, made them with wholemeal flour and bran with a bit of honey to sweeten. Going to start making my yummy protein bars again too (I just wish bananas weren't so damn expensive!) So no more mini muffin bars!! Lol.


Thanks for the comments Kate and Ski! Haha my boobs look way smaller in these pics anyway because the top I'm wearing kind of flattens them out against my chest, I was going to wear a bikini top instead but forgot to change. I measured in that top just because it's what I did last time. As for my husband minding... He's never noticed me losing weight! He moved in with me not long after we started dating and I lost close to 15kg without him noticing! It took one of his mates asking if I was my sister for him to take a step back and look, haha.

I forgot to say, I only need a deficit of 600cals a day to reach this months goal. I'm always going to aim for a bit more than that but that's all I need to lose half a kg a week! Added in another snack this morning, had 200g pot set yogurt with 50g frozen mixed berries. If I eat the rest of the day as above I'll end with a 750cal deficit.


My new workout kicked my ass a bit too! Guess that's what I was aiming for lol...
 
No exercise for me today I'm afraid... working 7am- till 5pm (or later) so no time for it! And then just to throw a bit of a challenge in for me, I'm pretty sure they're having a social dinner for a few work people tonight... So I may end up eating at a buffet for dinner.

Dinner: No more than 700cals of something. I've been to this buffet before, they have a big salad bar then about 20 different stands with different cuisines, I'm planning on filling a plate with salad and popping a tiny bit of meat on the side!
