New beginnings, new journey

AToday's breakfast was sooo yummy! I made a baked oatmeal cake out of 50g oats, a banana, 1/4 cup milk, 1tbsp pure maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla and a sprinkle of sultanas. Baked it and refrigerated it overnight and it was like cake this morning!

Today's plan:
Breakfast: baked oatmeal cake
Snack: mini muffin bar
Lunch: cheese and salad on wholemeal grain sandwich
Snack: lite cheese and crackers
Dinner: eggs on toast with 2 sausages

Exercise is a 1 hour walk. Planning on dragging my husband down to the beach this morning to explore with me, how exciting! Will probably swim later too.
 
AJust a quick update on today...

Only walked for 30mins cuz hubby was too tired to go to the beach with me. Got hungry in the arvo too so had a mini muffin bar and changed dinner to have only 1 sausage. Ended up with an 850cal deficit.

Weigh in day tomorrow! Working 9-6 so not too bad, then grocery shopping after. Will update with my weigh in tomorrow!
 
71.3kg today, yay!! That's 1.4kg gone this week!!


I have that big ladies night pub crawl thing with work this Fri, so that'll be the challenge for the week... I'd love to get down to 70.7kg by next week, then it's 2kg down in two weeks lol. We will see.


Todays Plan

Breakfast: vanilla pot set yogurt, 100g strawberries, 3 weetbix

Snack: 2 Mini muffin bars

Lunch: Wholemeal grain ham sandwich (shopping day- salad or cheese left!)

Snack: Lite cheese and crackers

Dinner: Whole spinach pizza (awesome supermarket brand, pretty low cals for a whole pizza!!)


Exercise is 30mins strength training and a 30min walk. I've decided I'm only working 9-5 today lol. My hubby probably won't finish till 6 so I'll do the grocery shopping and we can probably just about leave at the same time then.

Just about to eat dinner now, ending today with 893cal deficit. Yay! Yum, pizza here I come!
 
Yay!! One of my parcels arrived, all the dresses I bought are BEAUTIFUL. Two are absolutely perfect fit and the third fits but is a bit tight, will look awesome when I lose a little more! Got another couple of parcels coming tomorrow so DOUBLE YAY!


Also... got the internet finally!!! SO... that might be a triple yay? Lol!


Tomorrow's plan

Breakfast: vanilla pot set yogurt, 100g strawberries, 3 weetbix

Snack: 2 mini muffin bars

Lunch: 2 Wholemeal grain sandwiches with ham and salad

Snack: Lite cheese and crackers

Dinner: Chicken breast parmigiana, roast carrots, pumpkin, and potato


Exercise is just a half hour walk. Also I'm working 9-6 so I'll still be on my feet for a fair while. If I stick to plan it's a 1028cal deficit.

I loved C25K and was introduced by a friend of mine who has also done it. I am now training to do my 5th Half Marathon (13.1 miles) in October in Baltimore, MD. I do it for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and raise funds and awareness about blood cancers. I don't know if you have ever heard of Team In Training, but you should check it out! Great resource for training with expert walker/runners! I love my coach!

You are very inspiring! I am getting ready to start my diary this coming Monday (Labor Day) after my kiddos go back to school (a result of Hurrican Irene). I have done C25K and downloaded it to my ipod. LOVE IT!!!! I am not training for my 5th Half Marathon (13.1 miles)...and am totally addicted! You get professional support in return for your raising funds and awareness about blood cancers!

Hey Kate, now I finally have the net... I CAN post pics lol. I might post some Fri on my day off. Have that ladies night thing that night too, so might take a few then!


Kt- I found out about c25k through this website last year when I was on here... but back then, I was already super fit and running 10ks without thinking about it. DOH! Got it for my iPod at the start of the year and got halfway through, then laziness and life got in the way. I'm planning on starting next month! That's awesome that you run marathons for something you're passionate about. Keep up the good work and I'll keep an eye out for you!!


Arrgh another day... Was planning on sleeping longer than I did but had a cat jump on me and howl till I gave it attention.O well, normal length work shift today. Thankfully I got the grocery shopping all done yesterday after work too, so I can come home and chill out!

Dinner: 2 sausages with Greek Salad


Exercise is 30min strength workout and a 30min walk. Should give me a 1006 cal deficit.


I've been thinking more and more about going out tomorrow night, and I'm really excited... but I'm not a big drinker anyway, and don't think I should feel the need to drink heaps to make new friends. I know that at least one of the ladies going isn't drinking, Plus alcohol doesn't really help the weight loss at all... I'd rather spend 600cals on a side of chips than 4 glasses of wine lol. I think I might drink water with dinner, have a wine at the first pub then maybe have a couple of diet sodas and then water for the rest of the night. I'm going in with a plan! Lol! Will sort food out tonight but I think I'll aim for at least a 500cal deficit, I've never been to have dinner where we are going so I have no idea what kind of food to expect.


I stuck to being healthy yesterday... I don't even have to think about it when I have work, it's getting pretty easy. I'm still proud I managed to get through my days off no damage done... I have tomorrow and Sat off so we'll see if I can continue the trend!

Well done on planning for your night out. :hurray: It's weird, when i have tried to lose weight in the past i would always totally blow it on nights out or days off and would then find it really hard getting back on track but now that i plan for it i can stay in control. It makes such a difference doesn't it?
I love the feeling of finding it easy going, i'm still at that stage after 60+ days. This forum has kept me positive for soooooo much longer than i ever thought possible.

Thanks Kate! I definitely think planning is the only way to really get to your goal. When I haven't planned food/exercise for the next day I usually end up doing badly!


Tomorrow's Plan

Breakfast: Banana, 50g oats, baked and topped with vanilla yogurt and raspberry jam

Snack: Mini muffin

Lunch: Wholemeal grain sandwich with cheese and salad

Snack: Lite cheese with crackers

Dinner: Allowing 1 glass of wine and up to 800cals food


Exercise is a 30min walk. If I use all my dinner cals it will leave me with a 500cal deficit for the day.


Planning a nice quiet day, going to watch a heap of TV and maybe lie in the sun for a while. My broken toe was hurting a fair bit today so I'm planning on taking it easy until I go out at night, looking forward to it!
 
Got the munchies last night... Ate 4 mini muffin bars, a box of rice crackers and a couple of small buttered rolls lol. I worked it out, I was around 400cals over maintenance. I'll be honest, I don't really feel guilty about it... It could've been a lost worse. I feel pretty rank and bloated this morning though. Still aiming for around a 500cal deficit today, and then maybe I'll try to get 1000 every other day and see how I go.


It's really hot here this morning!! Still baking my breakfast, looking forward to it! Then I'll go for a walk and have a lazy day. I really want to go for a swim... but I also need to dye my hair. And my hair needs to be dry for that. So... argh!!! Dilemma lol. Should've dyed it last night! I forgot to mention that my bathers arrived yesterday, and both sets fit PERFECTLY! That was a pretty big score!

Photos as promised. This is one of the dresses I got off the net and what I'm wearing out tonight. Because I was taking photos in the mirror I couldn't use my flash so the photos came out fairly dull, but the dress is actually really vibrant blues and not faded looking like in the pics!
 
Looking good! Although I was surprised because I was expecting to see a blond (your avatar). lol That dress looks great on you though, you rock it girl! :hurray:

Lol Mizzie I've been blonde forever but moving somewhere random I didn't know what to expect of hairdressers here, so I went a couple of shades darker than my natural colour thinking it would fade... well it DID, but it started to go green, so I put another colour over the top. Not green anymore but now it's fully dark, haha! O well!!


Last night was so much fun! I got my 500cal deficit. I'd like to say it's because I was healthy but no... had a small handful of fries and that's all I ate, the rest of the cals were from alcohol. I had a buzz going but I think in total I only ended up finishing 2 full drinks- the girls kept moving on too fast so I left several half full drinks behind at places. Danced a heap and got to know everyone a bit better. Doing it again in a month as one of the checkout supervisors is turning 18.

Got home at about midnight and woke up around 5ish as my husband was getting ready for work and the cat wouldn't leave me alone.. dozed until about 7am then got up because I was over it!


Todays plan

Breakfast- Baked oatmeal with 50g oats, 1/4 cup milk, 1 banana and topped with a scrape of raspberry jam and yogurt

Snack: Mini muffin bar

Lunch: Wholemeal grain sandwich with cheese and either vegemite or salad

Snack: Lite cheese with crackers

Dinner: Crumbed fish with mixed roast vegetables


Exercise is just a half hour walk, not going to try to do a workout this tired. Not hungover or anything but also have that kind of seedy stomach feeling (just reminding me I had alcohol)
