New beginnings, new journey

Yes I'm back again today!!! Just finished getting ready for Valentines Day dinner, and I'm super excited!!!! Got ready way too early though, lol I've still got about 45 mins to kill. Here's a photo (putting up heaps at the moment, guess I'm actually doing stuff right now so stuff working taking photos of!!





Did a bit of shopping this arvo, actually wearing a really nice pair of shoes right now that I got. Oh, the dress is new too- you can't see it but it has a really low back, it's so pretty!! Loving the retro dresses right now! Checked into our hotel and we got a free upgrade (seems to happen a lot!) Ended up with a huge 2 bedroom apartment! That's all our crap in the background behind me lol, I'll take some photos of the place tomorrow.


Todays intake:

Breakfast: 2 pieces toast with choc peanut butter

Snack: Nothing!

Lunch: 2 small hardboiled eggs and some homemade coleslaw

Snack: Nothing...


Don't know what I'm having for dinner, as you can see I haven't really eaten much today... Actually still haven't had a single hunger pang either!! I guess that's what happens when you eat a weeks worth of food in a day, lol!!



Exercise:

Absolutely none! Not intentional exercise anyway, walked around the city and tried on clothes etc for approx 2 hours.

Guys- dinner was AMAZING!! I actually did pretty well too, I think so anyway... The restaurant was beautiful, the table was set with chocolates and a rose on my seat... we got champagne when we were seated (which was SO good!! Went straight to my head though as I hadn't eaten all day) I had pumpkin soup as an entree (guessing 200cals), barramundi with asparagus risotto as my main (I didn't eat the risotto, only the fish and the asparagus- guessed 300cals), pannacotta with pear for dessert (also had praline and cheese and crackers with it, I only ate the pannacotta... guessing 270cals) Oh, there was also a sorbet in between the entree and main, guessing 100cals as it was like 2 tablespoons worth. So actually ended on a deficit today! Also walked to the restaurant and back which was around 10mins each way.
 
Ah man, sounds like you're living in the lap of luxury right now, especially with the upgrade! I am JEALOUS! And i'm loving the dress, beautiful colour and suits your lovely slender shape in a very flattering way! I also love the backless ones, there's something very classic and elegant about them!


Glad to see you're enjoying yourself.. you look very naturally happy! (heck, I know I sure would be as well!)

Thanks Sarah- I am LOVING being on holidays!!!!!! I was desperately due for them I think!!!! Haha and thanks for calling me slender, I certainly didn't feel it after the dinner I had the night before!! Surprised I could even squeeze into a dress!!!


Hey Irish- hahaha wish the whole few days I'd been on holidays I'd been that good!!


Well I'm catching up with a really good friend of mine from Tafe today (studied fitness with her, she's a PT) Can't wait!! We are getting Nando's and watching a movie :hurray: Still have a few hours to kill though cuz she's working this morning... We slept in till after 8am this morning (you have to understand, I normally wake up at 5 on my days off... so that's crazy business!!!) Decided to be a bit cheap so last night we bought a loaf of bread and some vegemite and cheese for breakfasts while we are here for the last few days. I am SO over restaurants right now!! Nowhere near as bloated as I was yesterday though. Walked into the city and got coffee from my favourite coffee shop after brekki, was so good!! Such a nice day today, feel sorry for people back up north... Apparently it was 47.7 degrees C yesterday!! EEK!!! At least our air con is fixed now!!


Hrrrmmm.... So yea.... I think I might wander back into the city for an hour or two, might do a bit more shopping. Trying hard not to spend any more money though, trying to save the rest for when we go to Broome. Not that we need that much money for then, there's not really any shopping and we are just going there to chill out. Plus brekki is included every day already, and one dinner too... might do what we did here, buy a loaf of bread and have cheap lunches every day!! Fully going to detox on the week off in between though... I really need to give up coffee again, and I think it'll be easier when I can stay in bed for a week rather than waiting for when I go back to work.

Yea so not the greatest food today lol, just really couldn't be bothered!! Have gone out and done a big healthy shop though, I'm planning on busting out the juicer tomorrow! Bought veg to give it a go. Also it's my first day of no coffee... No headaches or anything just yet, just feel like I haven't really woken up properly!!

you look so great in that dress! you did so good on your holiday. thats great. thats the hardest time to be good. if you can try and prep some food in advance sometimes it really helps on those i dont feel like doing shit days.

Hey Sarah- the scales weren't AWFUL, but not great... I figured that though since I'd been eating out a lot. Pretty sure some was fluid but hey, not gettin too worried. I was 65.7kg. Could've been a lot worse, my poor husband is freaking out because in the week we were gone he put on 6kgs!! So I don't feel so bad about 800g lol.


Size32- Yea I'm having motivation problems right now, I figure if I can get to the end of my holidays without a gain all should be well!! Did a pretty healthy grocery shop with easy stuff to prepare so I won't be too lazy. My slow cooker is going to get pretty thrashed in the next few days!!


Heya Sparked- I was really stoked to find a pretty dress, I only went out and found it that day! I had just over an hour to find something so I was pretty doubtful that I would. Loving all the lace and retro styles at the moment, makes me feel really girly!



Kinda taken me all day to get on here... day 2 of no coffee, and I'm pretty sure I'm dying. I caved and had a coke zero to get a small amount of caffeine in me, didn't help the head too much though!! Hopefully I'll be feeling a lot better in a few days by the time we leave for the second part of our holiday!! Definitely couldn't go through this if I was working, so just going to tough it out...


I didn't finish eating after that post yesterday unfortunately, I had 2 HUGE cheese and salad sandwiches (healthy, but around 600cals worth!) also had a couple of muesli bars and half of a spinach pizza, so there went my whole deficit (plus some!!). Been ok today, haven't really tried hard and my head is pretty killer, and I'm feeling SO damn tired. I'm going to be a lot healthier the next few days though, I can get back to where I was at the start of my hols if I have 3 awesome days... So that'll be my goal!!

You've stopped drinking coffee???!!!!!! :eek: I really don't think i could do it!!!! I would look like this :ack2: and i would get the sack and be single within a week i think. I am going to give up chocolate for lent (40 days) and i did consider coffee but i thought 'no bloody way' i really don't think i could do it. Maybe i should, it would certainly be a challenge (for everyone around me lol)

Heya Kate!! Lol I know, he fully freaked out when he saw the scales, poor boy! We are going up north again (where we went for our anniversary) only this time we are staying for 5 days and I got an awesome deal, it includes a dinner, a 30 min couples massage, free movies, free bottle of champagne... Plus the room we are in has a private courtyard and private pool access. It is going to be 5 days of chilling out :hurray: Plus I'm not injured this time so we can actually go out and look around properly. And yea, going coffee free is a little painful... day 3 today!!


Used my new juicer this morning!! Haha I made a small jug of juice and asked my husband if he wanted to try some, and he drank the whole thing. It was good, I made it with carrot, celery, apple, and orange. Going to be super good the next 3 days!!!!!!!!


Todays intake:

Breakfast: Homemade juice with carrot, celery, apple, orange

Breakfast 2: 1/2 cup oats with a tablespoon of choc peanut butter and a banana

Lunch: Raw sunflower seed and vegetable slices with cheese, tomato, and cucumber

Dinner: Slow cooked chicken breast in a tomato broth torn and tossed in spinach leaves


Exercise: Spent almost 3 hours in the pool today, does that count?

Having another really lazy one today!!! I made more juice this morning and gave my husband a glass, who freaked out when he saw it was bright green... I made him drink it anyway lol, he enjoyed it. Todays was orange, kiwifruit and spinach!! Been lying in bed all morning watching tv, going to go jump in the pool now!!

Breakfast 2: 2 pieces toast with white choc peanut butter

Extra big snack (oops)- 3/4 bag microwave popcorn with 60g raw dark choc


Exercise: None... going for a swim now though!!

Ended today slightly better than above, felt energetic and went for a 40min walk with my husband... so a 359cal deficit today. Planning on being an angel tomorrow, already have tomorrows food planned plus a 20min walk. Can't wait till we head up north- 2 days!!!! 6hr road trip then 5 star luxury for 5 days!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you're getting a decent amount of exercise in at least! I feel sorry for your husband, haha.. that really sucks to gain that much! 800g is nothing when you think about how bad it could've been! No wonder he's happily gulping down your juice! At least now if he starts winding up up about the lack of scales again, you have a bit of ammo, haha. :D

I've actually had heaps of professional massages- I studied beauty therapy when I was 18 (got my diploma and I've never used it, lol!) and an entire semester was devoted to massage. So pretty much for half a year I was getting 2-4 massages a week (and I was giving that many as well!!!) So I'm pretty excited!! Haha poor Ash, he's never really gained weight in his life... but get this, I'm so annoyed. He's lost it all already!!! WTF?? He reckons it was just because of the first night we were at home, he got really really REALLY drunk (drank I don't know HOW many jugs of beer) and he doesn't normally drink... so maybe 6kgs of fluid retention? I don't know, whatever... all I know is it's not fair!!! Haven't weighed myself yet, going to wait until the day we head off... then I have 8 days till the end of month weigh in!!!


Haha I've already ordered and paid for dinner for when we get there the first night... I ordered pizza!! And the website has calorie counts on it, so I've already planned food for the day we leave- and going to eat half a pizza for dinner, and the other half for lunch the next day. And I still manage a 1000cal deficit (am I a little sad? Maybe I have too much time on my hands while I'm on hols!!!) Pretty awesome sounding pizza, and it's only 106cals a slice!!


Little bit of a damper though... there's thunderstorms forecast here and up there for the entire week, so might not have the greatest weather this time around. Damn wet season!!
 
Wow Luz, it sounds like your having an awesome time! Don't worry about his weight loss, he's a guy and, well, they must have super human powers or something. My fiance weighs like 125lbs and eats everything under the sun. lol. Enjoy yourself!
 
Just writing quickly before we leave!! Ate 463cals over maintenance yesterday (oops) and weighed 65.5kg this morning. Soooooooooooooo not looking forward to the 6 hour drive!!!!!! Can't wait to get there though!!! :hurray:
