New beginnings, new journey

Ok, I'm sorry, but holy crap, I was dying laughing at your rant about the scales! I'm so sorry, that is truly maddening! I'm gonna call this one cosmic synergy, you're obviously not supposed to look at the scale! ;) I know I would be totally losing it too, I told myself at the beginning of the week that I would not weight myself for at least a week... yeah, that didn't even last a day! So, I think you have crazy willpower to have lasted as long as you did!

You also have crazy willpower for baking cupcakes, brownies, and cookies. Dear lord. That would be a terrible thing in my kitchen. I love to bake, it's a great stress reliever, but more than that, I love baked goods, so I definitely could not volunteer myself to have batters and frostings around! I'm in awe, oh and what a great cause too!

Oh, and Game of Thrones is soooo good! I got hooked on the show first and then we ended up getting the books, I love the first one especially, so many great twists!

Awesome deficit for the day, great job!!

A:smilielol5: :smilielol5: I'm sorry but i proper laughed out loud too about the scales. That is just so typical and it shows that you weren't ment to weigh!! :)

On a serious note......Don't forget that scales tend to weigh differently so.......If you are heavier than you thought then it's the scales and you just have to go with it but if you are lighter than you thought then :hurray: YAY!! awesome set of scales and of course they are totally correct :) I had 2 sets of scales in my bathroom and they had a 10lb difference so dont freak if your new ones are nasty horrid scales!!!

Lol thanks guys, it is really funny... just insanely FRUSTRATING!!! Arrrghgh!!!

Crym- I can't actually buy that peanut butter here either, I order it from an Aussie website called usafoods.com.au, before that I was getting it from overseas with my Larabar orders but I run out of PB way before my millions of bars!! It's the Peanut Butter & Co brand, it's AMAZING. I love the dark choc PB and the cinnamon raisin swirl one too <--(my fave!! ran out of it though!!)

So tired, had the worst sleep. So glad I have today off. That cyclone did end up forming but don't think it's much of a threat to us, it's a bit south of us already and heading south and hasn't hit land... so think we are all good!! It is turning into a pretty big one though!

I saw a lot of your positive posts on some of the treads and I noticed that you are just about halfway to your goal. Good Job.

We are very familiar with cyclones here in Texas I have dodged a few twisters (tornados)

Hiya Brawny, thanks for stopping by!! Yea the weather gets pretty crazy here, I'm not used to it as I've only been here a few months. The cyclone is heading a lot closer to us now, so we are currently on cyclone watch and might be on blue alert by tomorrow. They think it's going to get up to a Category 5 still, it's moving so slowly and just keeps getting stronger!! It's cyclone Iggy if anyone is wondering which one I'm talking about! Not looking good for us right now!

Actually managed a perfect day again today, mainly just because I let myself eat pretty much whatever I wanted... and it just happened to add up well!! Ate pretty bad the last couple days and I think it was a bit much, had the WORST headache today. Still have it really... I'm at home getting ready to continue reading my book!! It's pissing down with rain at the moment, actually not from the cyclone... this is leftovers from some storm they had further up north. Not good though, it means the rivers are full again so if/when this cyclone hits us, we'll get evacuated because we are in a low area. Poos!!!

Todays intake:

Breakfast: 2 pieces of toast with white choc peanut butter

Snack: Homemade bran and spice muffin

Lunch: Curried egg sandwich

Snack: Coconut creme Larabar

Total deficit for the day: 965cals

AHeya Crazy cat lady :)

I hope the cyclone bypasses you guys! Proper scary weather huh. What happens if they have to evacuate you? What about your babies? Do you get to take them with you? I have never even had to come close to having to think about that situation in my entire life!

:hurray: Well done on a perfect day. I love days like that where food isn't an issue, you just eat and it turns out ok in the end. They don't happen very often for me though lol
Sorry that you are feeling crappy and hope your headache goes away real soon :grouphug:

I have just finished reading 'One Day' It was awesome, you should read it, don't watch the film, read the book first. I have just started reading 'The girl with the dragon tattoo' cos everyone has told me how great it is.

Thinking of you sweetie and stay safe :grouphug:

Well done on your perfect days, i am gonna aim for 6 as of tomorrow :)

Having a bad day. Work was shit, the girl I was working with was doing NOTHING and seriously stopped what she was doing for half an hour to talk to someone who came in, had to stay back an hour because we were running so far behind. Then she whinged that I was leaving (even though I left her about 10mins of work and she still had 30 mins of her shift left!!) so I spent the whole day frustrated. Wade didn't go to work today either, he had chemo on Fri and had a pretty bad reaction to it that he doesn't normally get. This morning he was so sick he went to the hospital, and they decided to speed up his scans... Apparently there's abnormalities on his kidney and his stomach, so the cancer could be spreading. He has an appt on either Wed or Thu at the hospital, if it is cancer then he has to get flown back home for emergency surgery. Arrgh.

I've eaten well today, actually planned to have less than a 900 cal deficit but because I worked an extra hour and it's sunny outside, I might go for a walk... so another really high deficit today I think!

Breakfast: 2 pieces of toast with white choc peanut butter

Snack: Homemade bran and spice muffin

Lunch: Curried egg sandwich

Snack: Living raw green cacao bar

Snack: Row of raw dark orange chocolate

Dinner: Mini vegetable pizza

Exercise: 40min walk (haven't been yet, but planning to while it's not raining!! I'll subtract it if I don't end up going)- I WENT!!

Total deficit for the day: 984cals

4 perfect days down, 9 to go!!

Just got back from my walk... The first 20mins I was ok, was fairly stiff so I went pretty slow. After my muscles warmed up and loosened though my knees felt so unstable, it was awful!! Spent the last 20mins of my walk freaking out thinking I was going to fall over lol... Who knew walking needed so much concentration!! I am glad I went though, exercise tends to let me let go of things much easier. Like today. I am really worried about Wade, and I let him cry on my shoulder, but when we found out he was sick I told him I'd be the strong one so I didn't get upset in front of him, and I told him not to worry till/if it happens and to stay positive. So I'm trying to take my own advice right now, and it's pretty hard!! Poor guy, he's too young to be dealing with this.

Yea Crym, it's not fun. Hoping he will get news tomorrow so we know sooner rather than later!!

Was SO over work today, dragged on a bit!! Didn't work any longer than usual or anything, just did my 5am-1pm... was just well and truly over it by the end!! Went out to the shops with Wade after to grab a couple of things, then came back and did a workout!! I put together a really simple full boy thing without weights, so I can memorise it and do it while I'm away on hols too... then can amp it up a bit when I'm back. Just so I'm moving. Lol I did 10mins of cardio at the end, but of course because of my legs I couldn't do anything 'normal'... so there was a lot of shadow boxing and windmills in there!! Wade walked passed me a couple times too, he probably thinks I'm (more) insane. I thought it was funny :p

Todays intake:

Breakfast: 2 pieces of toast with white choc peanut butter

Snack: Homemade bran and spice muffin

Lunch: Curried egg sandwich

Snack: Choc chip cookie dough Larabar

Snack: Large skinny flat white coffee, row of raw dark chocolate

Exercise:

Strength training/ mini cardio workout

Total deficit for the day: 941cals (probably a bit more, I didn't finish the whole smoothie)

AHeya sweetie

So sorry to hear about Wade, sending you guys huge massive hugs :grouphug:

I can just imagine Wades face as he sees you stood there pretending to be a windmill...'yep she has lost it' lol

Keep counting those days til your holiday my lovely :)

You are really fighting the good fight...with all the stresses in your life...you are a super strong person

Kate- Being a windmill freakin HURTS the next day!! My poor shoulders... I can hardly lift my arms above my head right now!! Lol!!

Brawny- Thank you, I am trying to be. Strange how much calmer and centered I am when I'm eating healthy!!

Aghh... So I'm working Tue now, I said yes because it means more money for my holidays... so I still have 4 work days left. Lol. O well!! Wade still hasn't heard from the hospital yet either, looks like we might not know anything until tomorrow!!!

Still no scales... waiting for more of my flavoured peanut butter in the mail too. Hate how it takes FOREVER for anything to get here!!! It's so frustrating!!!

Todays intake:

Breakfast: 2 pieces of toast with cinnamon raisin swirl peanut butter

Snack: Homemade bran and spice muffin

40min walk (have yet to go, waiting till 4-5pm when it's a bit cooler and I won't burn!)

Total deficit for the day: 1002cals

Wade's doctor rang, not good news... The abnormalities in his stomach are just ulcers and can be treated with medication, but his kidneys are riddled with cancer. They are advising against surgery as it's so risky but if he has it and it goes well it'll only increase his life by a year... Apparently this is lowering his life expectancy to 3-4 years... :) He has a couple of weeks to make a decision as to cause of action, and has to have a big conversation with a couple of doctors tomorrow to discuss options.

Decided wade needs a little bit of fun, so we are going to drive out to the next town (2.5hrs away) on the weekend and see what's out there, just for something to do. This is really not fair, it's sad someone his age has to face his own mortality and come to terms with it.
