I've been trying to lose weight for so long and my weights alwasy going up and down but just now i'm back up at 149, 150 is the heaviest i've ever been so thats pretty bad, and I'm only 5'2. I've been back to eating health since thursday and for the first time in a long time I'm finding it really easy.

I think it's because i've not been too strict on myself i've just been making sure I don't snack to much or eat too large portions. I've also been trying to get out and about as much as possible and go to the gym as much as I can.

I'm starting uni again in august to do a postgraduate primary teaching course. I'm quite shy and being slim helps my confidence a lot so I think it'll help me in learning to teach if i'm slimmer. Thats my goal really to be at a weight I feel happy for going to uni. My ultimate goal is 121 pounds but even to be at 130 by then would make me happy really :)

I've not enjoyed lots of thigns for a long time like nights out and going out for drinks and things because i just feel like none of my clothes fit me, I used to live in skinny jeans but they make me too hippy now and i dont suit anything baggy so I have to wear leggings a lot which I get bored with. Even when i'm about 140 pounds I feel ok in my jeans so to lose the 9 pounds would be amazing.

Hopefully I can do it this time, I'm going to try my best anyway :D
 
:D I weighed myself today i'm down to 146 pounds since thursday :D That's not even been with much excercise, i've been working extra shifts though and I do a lot of walking in work!

I'm just finding it so easy to stick to for once, not sure why, I think it's because i'm not putting pressure on myself to lost the weight quickly and I just keep on focusing on outfits that I can wear once i'm a bit skinnier :D

I'm 5'2 and a half :p and 146 pounds :S my highest weight was 150 pounds and the lowest i've been since my early teens was 135.

2. If you were at an ideal weight now, what would that weight be?
121-129

3. At what weight would you like to be at four months from now?
at least 130

4. Why do you want to lose weight?
too look good in clothes, to feel more confident about myself, to stop worrying about looks and things, to feel healthier and to be happier.

5. Do you want to lose weight for a specific life event such as wedding or reunion? If so, when is that event?
In general nights out, my sisters getting married but not for a few years, i'm starting uni in august and i'd like to be thinner for that

6. What obstacles could get between you and your weight loss goals?
workings annoying hours, not being motivated to excercise

7. Why do you think that you now have a weight problem?
i've always been a bit pudgy, think being shy in my teen years led to it, because i wasn't out doing things all the time.

8. What lifestyle changes do you think would help you lose weight?
working regular hours, being at uni should help, trying to feel happier more often because I seem to gain weight when i'm feeling depressed

9. Have you lost weight in the past? If so, what has worked in the past to help you lose weight?
I was excercising an hour most days and just watching what I was eating, fad diets just seem to make me fatter

10. Why do you believe that you did not lose weight or you gained the weight back.
I lost teh weight for a holiday so I after the holiday i was less motivated, plus I got a bit depressed

11. What, if anything, has not worked for you in the past in helping you to lose weight? Why do you think it did not work?
fad diets, i always end up putting weight on

12. Would you try writing down all food and drink consumed for a given period of time?
I can never stick to that

13. Do you cook at home often? If so, what do you cook?
I mostly cook for myself, quite often microwave meals or just easy things but I can cook if I have time, and my mums bought ingredietns(which isn't often) i cook pastas fairly often and stir fries

14. How often do you go out to eat? Where do you go?
quite often, I love wagamamas which i thinks sort of healthy, I eat a lot of italian food though and don't always choose the healthy choices, but I have no money right now which helps because I have less time to eat

15. What are your three favorite foods?
melon :D chips :( and spaghetti, with bolognese or pesto or carbonara or arrabiata lol

16. What are your three favorite restaurants?
wagamama, a wee italian near my house thats amazing, and a thai restraunt I went to in cyprus

17. What are three things you can do differently when it comes to food?
less bread, smaller portions, not eating when I come in from work, or if i have to make it fruit.

18. If you woke up tomorrow and your body was exactly the way you want it, what would be different?
Everything, I'd dress so good, and feel so good and I'd have so much more confidence, which would stop me gaining the weight again because i'd be happier

19. Do you eat when you are not hungry?
yeah :(

20. Do you binge eat (large amounts at a time)?
yeah at night when i come in from work, i'm a nighttime snacker lol although i've been training myself out of that

21. Do you hide your food or eat in secret?
not really, i don't like to eat in front of people if thye're not eating or if i fancy them :p

22. Do you eat when you are sad, nervous, or depressed?
yeah, if i'm happy and out a lot i don't eat much

23. Do you eat as a reward?
not really more as a comfort if i'm tired or bored.

24. Do you eat while watching TV or using the computer?
yeah thats a bit of a problem as well

25. What do you normally eat for a meal?
for breakfast cerial, or toast. For lunch soup or pasta (if my sister cooks) or somthing easy to make, for dinner either a microwave meal or pasta or whatever my mum cooks

26. What type of snacks do you eat?
fruit, yoghurt, crisps( my biggest downfall i'm trying to avoid them), if i'm in a depresed overeating mood then pot noodles or savoury rice or soemthing :( thats when i gain weight

27. In terms of exercise, what, if anything, are you currently doing?
not much except all the walking I do in work

28. Where do you go for exercise? A local public gym? School/work gym? Home?

29. What, if anything, are your three favorite types of exercise?
crosstrainer, step aerobics, rowing machine

30. What is your daily/weekly/monthly/yearly motivation to move towards your goals?
buying new clothes, and usually thinking of outfits for a night out

31. Do you have rewards for certain goals?

I've lost another pound :D i know it's just water weight but the last few times i've dieted i've not even lost water weight, just stayed the same so it's really good!!! I'm just finding this so easy and i'm sure it's because i've put no pressure on myself :D
 
Week 1

I've lost 4 pounds this week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm feeling so good about this, I even had a wee day away with my familiy and allowed myself to have fish and chips because i'd been good all week adn all the rest of that day :D

I'm going to make a wee chart here of my weights and waist measurement:

wow, nice! 4 lbs in one week! it always motivates me a lot when i actually see the scale move, although i'd rather lose inches than lbs. i started at a higher weight than you were at...i lost like 10 lbs in the first 2 weeks. all water weigh i'm sure, but weight nonetheless. it took me from june to july to lose 30 lbs.

keep up the good work!! you'll be close to your goal weight in no time. :)

I've not gained or lost in the last few weeks, I had the flu then I was away for the weekend. But i'm back on it again and I start uni next week, it'll be such a good diet, i'm out of the house from 7 till 7 :D wont' have time to snack at all.

I'm going to newcastle with some friends for halloween, we're all dressing up as the girls in the moulin rouge video lol, i've found a wee corset outfit and i'm going as pink with a pink wig!!! I really need to lose weight for that!! Mostly round my waist and my legs! I dont even like pink :p but i want pink hair.
 
:S I just don't seem to be losing any weight, i'm working two nights a week which involves a lot of walking, i'm walking 40 minutes a day at least to and from uni and i'm not eating a lot because i just don't have time to eat much. I feel like i've lost a bit round my waist but I think i've put on weight on my arms, :S and the scale isn't shifting at all. It's so frustrating :S
 
:) Feeling so good, i borrowed my sisters nintendo wii :D so i've got a personal trainer thing, just did a half hour workout and it felt brilliant, definately going to lose some weigh tfor my christmas night out!! I always say this but I really really want to do it this time, and I really enjoyed excercising there :)
 
Hey, congrats on the weight loss, you're doing great ;)

I'm 5'2 too trying to lose some weight as well.

:) thanks, thats me back down to 145 from about 147 or 148 :D i'm trying to stick to a cereal diet, only doing it healthy. Mixing muesli, porridge or all bran for two of my meals with a healthy dinner and fruit. Finding it really easy, because i'm mixing my cereals so i don't feel bored or deprived.

I'm loving the Wii personal trainer as well, its just so much better than an excercise video.
 
Got up this morning and excercised for an hour, i've stuck pretty well to my diet as well :) except a few wee spoonfulls of left over bolognese sauce, but I think i'm still fine, calorie wise :D

Might do another wee bit of excercise today since i'm feeling good :D
