~* My Tutti Frutti Progress Thread *~

Still tutti a loss is not a gain! Wow you hdve an even busier life than me!! I just cooked lunches and dinners for myself for the next four days. Maybe doing a load of cooking and freezing would be a good option.

I hate to go on and on about kettle bells but s kettlebell and a kettle bell DVD is the fastest way to get your workout done and get on with your life. I cent wait for mine yo arrive!!!

There's already lots of that going on! :D Though I cook for the other half as well so that is both time consuming and tempting!!! :) (I see no calorie counting in the near future for him!)

Today went ok, I was quite good with food. Was hoping to avoid the snacks but as my meals were a long time apart (unavoidable yesterday) I ended up having a few to tide me over. Didn't go over my calorie limit though so I guess it's all good. :) x

Yesterday's Menu

BREAKFAST: Small bowl Special K with skimmed milk

LUNCH: WW tomato soup with 4 crackers

DINNER: Plate of veg with gravy and a small amount of beef

SNACKS: 1x apple, 1x special k bar, 1 pack snack-a-jacks and a low-fat strawberry mousse in evening

During the really busy weeks like this one, just really really focus on your eating. Make sure to meet your calorie goal and eat clean! Any exercise you can fit in during that time will be a bonus. Then when you're not so busy bump up the exercise for sure!

Hey Risty :waving:, yeh that is all I can do!! I was actually planning to go to a new class tonight, to try it out, but I'm SO wiped out and ended up only getting 4.5 hours sleep last night which has not helped the situation!! To cut a long story short I cant keep my eyes open and had to bail on my friend and tell her I intended to relax for an hour or two and have an early night instead. Pfft. Plus I cant even go to step this week as I have to work late on Thursday to attend an evening conference.

This weekend will be awful - as I said before, it's my birthday and valentines day, and I am going to be eating celebratory meals three nights in a row. However the diet is not ruling my life so I am certainly not cancelling these in dedication to calorie counting!! Next monday I can really give more to the weight-loss, by getting back on the wagon food-wise and stepping up the exercise. :) *thinks positive*

Today was ok-ish... good through breakfast and lunch, then I let it go a bit come dinnertime. x

Today's Menu:

BREAKFAST: small bowl crunchy nut with skimmed milk

LUNCH: low-fat vegetable rice, 1x apple, 1x special k bar and small tub of sugar-free jelly (circa 10cals!!)

DINNER: large bowl home-made pea soup with crackers

SNACKS: (this is where it doesnt look so good!) saucer of leftover veg, 1 packet walkers baked, 1 piece toblerone (frankly Im just pleased I stopped at the one, it was LOVELY) umm and a small handful of toffee popcorn. Absolutely didn't need it but had a funny five minutes.

DRINKS: low-sugar squash

Hi girl! Thanks for posting in my journal! Sounds like you have a lot on your plate in the life department but not a lot on your plate in the eating department. You are eating very light, I think almost too light. You can eat more as long as you eat the right stuff. Of course the other part of the equation is the exercising but it looks like it has been tough for you to find time. Maybe just a brisk walk first thing in the morning? It sure would go a long way if you did it 3 or 4 times a week. Take care of yourself and try to get some sleep. :)

Hey Tutti Frutti!!

Happy Birthday!!!
Hope you have a fabulous weekend!! And remember even if you are losing weight slowly - AT LEAST YOU ARE LOSING and not picking up. So hang in there hey!

Have a stunning weekend and don't overdue it with the sweet things ok?
Hope you get spoiled rotten!!!

Cheers
Mands

Happy birthday, tutti! Have an awesome day!!! Enjoy it and don't worry today, a birthday is the ultimate cheat day!

Camy

WOO! Happy Birthday!

You stopped at 1 toblerone??? That's amazing for sure, that's one of my fav chocolates along with the Lindt choclates - red ones (some sort of milk chocolate) and the brown ones (same as the red I think but has hazelnut pieces in it) and I also love the ferero rocher! MMMM.... Those are my fav more expensive chocolates. Some of my fav regular chocolates are kit kats, coffee crips, crispy crunch, recess pieces.... Ok, I've gone too far. My point was, good job on stopping at one!

I hope you have an awesome weekend. Eat the food you love, just have decent portions of them :)

Hi everyone :) thanks for the nice messages... just a quick stop to say I'm still alive and kicking :D Predictably the diet has taken a backseat the last few days, but I'm getting back into the swing a bit now...

Anyway I'll be back properly tomorrow with an update and to check how everyone else is doing. :) x

~Tutti Frutti~,
I too let my diet take the back swing. But I am back and ready to go. I set up the "Spring for April" Challenge and I am sticking with it. Going to walk more, its getting warmer. Going to be supposedly in the upper thirties for the next two weeks.. whoot whoot!

I hope you can join me ...

Hey everyone,

Soooo :) I haven't posted in a while. There are a few reasons for that... a couple of weekends ago it was my birthday and Valentine's Day, and naturally the diet lay forgotten for a few days!! Well, 4 actually. :piggy:

After that I did get back on the straight and narrow, but didn't dare to weigh myself in a while as I was convinced my naughty weekend had added lbs back onto me!! :blush5: I finally weighed myself earlier in the week, and was relieved to see 188.0 on the scale (I had been 188.6 the last time I weighed!!)

I still wasn't able to post here as I'd somehow managed to log myself out and wipe my cookies or something, so that my password wasn't coming up automatically.

TODAY, I finally found time to look up my password (I keep a log of them all!) and get back on. :D So hi all. :seeya:

I jumped on the scales again this morning to see 185.2... I'm VERY MUCH hoping that is correct and not a fluke :) It's certainly motivated me. If by Weds I'm still weighing in at that, or less, I will know I'm not far off my first stone lost. So yeh... just planning on being strict with myself the next few days and hoping for the best.

Sorry for the long post :D I am going to try to catch up with all the usual people over the next couple of days. :) Hope everyone's doing well. xx

You know Tutti, I find that sometimes being naughty for a few days speeds the weight loss up, I guess it is because we feel guilty and work harder afterwards or something like that (or maybe our bodies just feel like they won't be starved and then are happy to give up some more fat). But yey 185 is amazing! Only a few tiny pounds and one whole stone gone! Woohoo.
What are you planning to do as a reward when you get there? I have already selected 2 or 3 items from my favourite website to buy myself when I reach 59.5 kg (5 more pounds to go). Of course it is dancing stuff and I will buy it in medium instead of large for the first time, I am so excited about that! I recommend you also find yourself a little reward for being so awesome...

I don't know my password to this forum so if I ever lose my cookies I will be out forever... I should try to change it or something to something I remember otherwise I will be screwed.

Have a fantastic week (and I am rooting for 3.2 pounds loss for you this week!!!), Camy

Thanks Camy hun :)

I've been keeping up the good eating... pretty pleased with what I've taken in the last few days.

Last night I went to my first bums and tums... in all honesty I figured it would be a few sit-ups and some stretching and was all ready for an easy time. WRONG :willy_nilly: the first half hour was cardio and had me panting and sweating, and the second half was the stretching I'd imagined but far more hardcore than I'd expected... the instructor loves repetition, and makes you do each move over and over until it hurts soooo much. By the time I'd got home and showered I could barely move!! :D And definately feeling the effects today. No pain no gain though eh! Has to have done some good.

I am going to weigh-in tomorrow so we'll see how things are going. I'd like to reach my first mini-goal and see 182 by next Friday, 12th March. :)

xoxo

Bums and Tums? LOL I love the sound of that. I always love it when I get a good workout that I can feel for days afterward. Well done!!

Hey you, great to see you again! That program you are in sounds interesting! Names aside though, it sounds like its really pushing you, and extending your limits. Gotta love it the next day when you're feeling that ache!

Good luck on the mini-goal. Its totally within reach!:hurray:

Last night I went to my first bums and tums...
Lol, I had to laugh at this because "bums and tums" ... is so cute!!! I see you're from England... well here in good 'ol Wisconsin, USA I used to go to a class called "butts and guts" ... yours is much more pleasing to the ear!

No pain no gain is right! Keep pushin! Good luck on meeting your goal... I wish I could make mine but the way things have been going, I don't think I'll meet mine for a long while yet! :(

Lol at all the humour over bums and tums... had never occured to me that people might call the class anything else!! It's not a program Andy just a weekly class that I decided to give a go (I was more up for kick aerobics but my skinny friend was desperate to do this one!) it's just a toning class really. :) Though as I pointed out to my skinny friend there is no point in having a pert bum and six pack if nobody can see if through all the spare padding :D so I was pleased that there was a bit of hard workout in there before all the toning exercises began! (My friend is a UK 6 which I think is a US 2... she eats like a piggy and doesnt add a lb. Gotta hate her.)

Today the scales are saying 166.6... did I go wrong somewhere?!!?! I'm not too worried though, just gonna stick at it and hope to see a drop again by Sunday. :)

Have a good day all! xx

Yeea, I think we ALL have friends like this with unreal metabolisms. :cuss: Aww well, we're all just made different I guess haha. Regarding the weight - after an especially strenuous workout you could be retaining a bit of water in your muscles, so hopefully (fingers crossed!) Sunday will be more agreeable! Keep up the effort! It will totally be worth it when those spare pads come off! :p

I know what you mean about the not being able to see the muscle under the fat. However, everyone should be doing some sort of strength training along with cardio. Even if we can't see our muscles under the extra padding we have that's ok. The more muscle you do have the more calories you burn period! So if you are toning, and do gain some more muscle then you'll just be helping your body to burn extra calories while doing stuff or while doing nothing! Plus then when the fat is gone, you'll have the nice muscles to see!
