My Second Shot

OMG, what a smart dog! And smart YOU! Ya did it!!

Don't worry, your tummy will be fine in a bit. I'm the same way lately--I hate accidentally overeating!

Me too. I hadn't noticed how small my meals have gotten (relatively) since I started watching what I eat and eating small meals regularly throughout the day with healthy snacks.

I used to be a member of the clean plate club, but I guess my stomach has shrunk, because I can't hardly ever eat a whole plate of food now...

Which, given American serving sizes, is probably a great thing.

Oh yeah, and my dog is ridiculously intelligent. Like smarter than some people I know. I know he couldn't help the accident though, because he's fully housebroken. He must just have had an upset stomach. He was fine when I saw him after lunch.

Catastrophe...

So I was at the gym after dinner for about twenty minutes, just doing a quick treadclimber session before heading home from my cousin's house. When I came out, I noticed my back window was busted out. My purse got stolen out of the floorboard of my front seat. (It was a well-lit parking lot and there were plenty of people around. I thought I was safe. Learn from my mistakes, people.)

I called 911, who gave me a number for a cop who never picked up the damned phone. I heard him pick up once, and he hung up on me. Crooked ass lazy cops.

I had everything in that purse. My driver's license, my microchipped civil servant access card for the secret documents I work on, two debit cards, two credit cards, my grotto membership card, my insurance card...everything. Even my best makeup and my favorite chapstick were in there.

The only things that didn't get stolen were my work badge (which means I can still get onto the base, I just can't use the computers...) my zip drive (which contains parts of a 75,000 word novel that I don't have stored anywhere else) and even though they stole my driver's license, I just had it renewed so I'll be getting another one in the mail soon.

I already cancelled my credit cards, and I'm in the process of cancelling my debit cards.

The real kicker is, my purse had no cash in it whatsoever.

There are already two gas station charges on one of the credit cards and another gas station charge on my debit card. I'm going to have to go through days of bureaucratic hell just so somebody could get some free beer and gas.

Damn it. :(

Dinner:
- 3 pieces of pizza
- sweet iced tea

Exercise:
- treadclimber, 20 min., 250 calories burned

Still trying to recover from losing all of my personal ID and my credit/debit cards. *sigh* I could barely summon the energy to make it to work this morning, much less eat a healthy breakfast. Diet is kind of taking a backburner today...I consider myself doing well to be out of pyjamas, I'm so bummed.

Breakfast:
- a Pepsi

Lunch:
- Steakout steak sandwich w/ cheese
- bag of chips
- a Pepsi

I'll try to eat cereal or salad for dinner...and I want to go to the gym tonight, but all my motivation to do anything is gone. I just want to curl up on the couch and pull a blanket over my head. :(

That SUCKS!

Oh you poor thing, I have had my wallet stolen and hundreds of dollars worth of art supplies, and the fuckers used my ID and my checkbook to make all sorts of purchases. Fortunately it never reflected on my credit, but there were irreplaceable sentimental things in my wallet, too :(

There is a happy ending: a Capitola police officer was on the job, and he was actually young and cute, and he helped me and he CAUGHT the cuprits--Loni Locatelli and his girlfriend Jennifer Somethingorother. They went to jail, because they had "stolen the identity" of other people and used fake checks with Quickbooks, and there was evidence all over their house.

What pissed me off the most was the stupid ass stores--my ID picture didn't look much like that bitch. What the fuck? Stupid ass employees. Fucking A.

Sorry, lady--I hope things look up for you. It's a long process, though :(

On a positive note, I am down a pound and a half. Woo hoo!!

People are starting to notice too (especially in the face and legs) which makes me happy. :D

Congrats Maverick! Its awesome to read your entries--true motivation! Your goal for drinking more water has sparked some goals for myself!

Ugh, I ate fast food last night. I was going to just eat cereal, but I was exhausted and hungry. So Zaxby's it was.

- 5 teriyaki wings
- onion rings
- sweet iced tea

This morning I'm back on track though. Breakfast was big, but healthy.
- wheat pita round with cracked pepper turkey on top
- bowl of cereal
- Laughing cow cheese
- wheat crackers
- water

Now that my new mix tape CD has burned, I'm headed off to the gym. I didn't go yesterday, but I'm going today. Those little punks don't scare me. :coolgleamA:

Dinner last night:
- 1 slice of meatloaf
- a few seasoned fries (baked)
- a few bites baked beans
- 1 piece toast (garlic salt/seasonings, no butter)

I'm down a pound on the scale. Woo hoo! I'm more excited this time because I initially jumped from 201.5 to 193.0 very quickly (water weight) and then my weight equalized back out to 196.5. Now I'm almost down to my "water weight" weight, but it's not water this time. :D

I ended up telling my cousin about the gym, because I got my purse stolen there and it was too difficult for me to come up with a story about the robbery while excluding the gym part. Plus, it was bound to come up sooner or later. She's mentioned my weight loss several times already.

I'm still not going to invite her to go very often, despite her desperate hinting. Maybe just to Saturday yoga classes or something. (And I sure as hell don't want my aunt to go...yeesh.)

I do feel bad for her because she's stuck in a small condo with a newborn baby all day long (she has no driver's license because it was suspended) but I'm a pretty introverted person and I hate spending time with people constantly. Plus, the gym is "me time"...if she bitches about it, I'm just going to have to tell her that I like to wear headphones and music at the gym, and sometimes I just prefer to go alone. It isn't a social activity for me. I'm there to work my ass off.

Starting weight: 201.5 lbs
Current weight: 194.0 lbs
Goal weight: 140.0 lbs
Net loss: 7.5 lbs

Breakfast:
- wheat pita round with cracked pepper turkey
- berries
- grapes
- bowl of Special K w/ skim milk
- water

Snack:
- saltine crackers
- water

(Missed lunch because of the gym and other errands)

Gym:
- 30 min treadclimber, 400 calories burned

Dinner:
- 3 oz. ribeye steak
- 1/2 baked potato with butter and sour cream
- piece of parmesan Texas toast
- water

Breakfast:
- wheat pita round w/ peanut butter
- berries
- tangerine
- wedge of Laughing Cow cheese
- 4 wheat crackers
- a Pepsi (forgot to bring my water bottle to work..)

Lunch:
- boneless chicken breast
- water

Don't know if I'll make it to the gym tonight because I have tentative dinner plans, but I will try.

LOL! Cutie! :D Perhaps she'll understand.....

Congratulations on the weight loss!

A pound down is good enough for me! Hell, I get happy over .5 down! :D Can you go to the gym AND do dinner? Have a good dinner and enjoy that pita! :)

No gym last night, but I ended up only eating two wheat pita round with some salami and ham for dinner. So that was pretty good. I posted at 194.5 this morning on the scale.

Because I was running around all over creation this morning trying to reinstate my keycard and negotiate with the bank (the thieves overdrew my accounts by about $530 dollars the night my purse was stolen, so I have to file a claim...)

Breakfast:
- large caramel iced coffee

Lunch:
- Chick Fil A 12 count chicken nuggets
- 2 waffle fries
- medium Coke

I didn't get to eat breakfast, so I was starving by lunch. I ended up getting chicken nuggets from Chick Fil A with a Coke and waffle fries, but by the time I actually got to eat the waffle fries they were freezing cold, so I tossed them.

So, not so great on the diet today. Boo. I will be going to the gym tonight though (after a viewing), and incorporating some more weight training into my routine.

Gym will "fix it"--have a great dinner!

Wells Fargo took forever to give me back my muthafuckin' money that the theives took off my debit card--I had to straight fax them a 32 page police report that proved my claim, and they finally reimbursed me after 3 months. Assholes.

Good luck to you!

Hey! I'm pretty sure I didn't meet you the last time you were here. I'm newly back to the Forum myself after about 8 months of slacking off. I just read through some of your diary and saw that you're doing really well! Congrats on the weight loss so far. Sorry to hear about the shitbag who stole your purse. Some people are bastards. I hope the claim goes through smoothly.

Good luck this time around Mav.. I remember ya from last December. Sorry to see what happened. It's been REAL tough for me. I got down to 160 from 215, then went back to 170 when I broke my wrist. Now I am back at about 161 to 158 or there about (5'11) depending on how much watermelon I eat lol.. I can gain 5lbs a day when eating watermelon.. I love it.

Anyhow, after breaking my wrist it hurt to run because it was so jarring on my arm the constant bouncing. I couldn't ride my mountain bike either. I got depressed and ate ate ate.. For like 2 months I didn't work out, and when I got on the scale I was thinking I was going to be like 180 again.. I starting hollaring and whoo hooing when I saw the scale barely top 170.. I thought I got bigger. So I got back on the treadmill, and ran my ass off for like 30 straight days, and now I am back at 160.

Good luck again! I will follow ya around a bit here :D
