My name is charles, and i'm a foodaholic

oh it's a chore already :) Problem is, if I don't lift/run on the days that I'm used to it, I have an excess of energy that really annoys my wife/co-workers/people in general. Ran 2 miles this morning, lifting at 11, found special k breakfast bars, 90 calories and delicious. I had been lookin for an acceptable breakfast item for quite awhile so i'm excited now...lol

fell flat on my face off the wagon this weekend, ate terrible, drank beer, etc...oh well. :) forgot about that right now, just got done lifting pretty hard, I'm back on my n.o. xplode after the recommended 4 week break, I don't know if that stuff really works, or if i'm kidding myself into believing that it works...but i just feel like an animal when I take it, lol...umm..wanting to go for a run later, we'll see if that happens or not...I've been eating alot of lunch meat without bread, I'm afraid of the sodium content on things like ham, but the chicken and turkey seems like a very good, protein rich option!:troll:

Like I said earlier.. Don't worry yourself for having a 'night off' every now and then. If you have them every so often, dieting won't seem such a 'chore'.

If you like tuna, the large 7oz. tuna pouch from walmart has 210 calories and 45.5 grams of protein. I usually eat that for lunch (with some other things) 2-4 days a week.

yea I do like tuna, but my office at work isn't huge, and it stinks up pretty bad..not good for selling cars anyways. Somehow I've got a fresh sense of motivation this week, i vowed not to weight myself until saturday, and I've been running/lifting like a mad man in hopes of having a low number up there..i'd like to see it go down to 215 but who knows...not a huge deal anyways, just keeping my mind occupied, lol. today i lifted chest/back and did 30 minutes worth of intervals on the hamster wheel. I was wondering if running 1 minute at 9mph burns the same amount of calories anytime, like if you run 10 minutes at 9mph in a row, you would burn x amount of calories, if you ran 10 minutes at 9mph taking 1 minute breaks in between each minute, would you burn the same amount? this is what keeps me up at night, this crazy brain of mine :p

ate a blueberry muffin for breakfast this morning...fml. Other than that been doing well today, played basketball with my brother in law over lunch instead of lifting or running...soo, gonna go out to eat tonight, I've given the family a few options that they can pick from that I know i'll have easy healthy food to eat. till tomorrow!

yes, we both decided to respect each other's decisions and try not to judge the other one unfairly, which includes me getting upset, and her throwing things in my face.

omfg

lordie do I hate the weekends...I really need to get my act together as far as "weekend eating" goes...seems like i do great all weekend and then just let it all go on the weekend :( was at 116 on friday evening, and last night I was at 120...four freakin lbs...meh I know i shouldn't worry about the number on the scale too much but I really ate terribly...I am done with this business, I just need to suck it up and go hard on the weekends, I don't even think I can allow myself to have a "treat" on sunday because it just opens too many doors...god I am glad i'm not addicted to heroin, lol i'd be screwed! Ran two miles today, quick workout due to the fact that I forgot a clean t shirt and had to wear the smelly one that was in my locker :ack2:

Hard drugs are a lot easier to give up than fatty foods. You'd think not, but it's true.

Don't worry yourself about the four pound increase over a few days, odds are if you weigh yourself the following day you might have kicked two of the pounds already. It's just how the body works.

Running inside Vs. Running outside

So yesterday I ran intervals after lifting weights, it was probably the hardest thing i've ever done...ever. Then when I got home I convinced my wife to go for a 1 mile run that I had paced off with the car earlier in the day...the 1 mile run outside was twice as easy (mentally or physically?!?) as running 1 mile on a treadmill, so I thought to myself, is this because it is easier physically?? Surely that can't be the case as you're running presumably the same distance, plus you have wind/hills/heat to deal with, so running outside would logically be more difficult physically than running on a treadmill, I even read a few reports that confirmed this as some treadmills are even on a decline so you're essentially running downhill the whole time.

So, if it is harder physically, yet I think it is easier, than it must be easier mentally?? I think a big part of it was that I don't have to stare at that stupid timer the whole time, I'm addicted to looking at that time like crack, I can't go 30 seconds without looking, it's crazy. Plus during the outside run the scenery changes, you have people to wave at, cars and animals to dodge, there's a lot more to keep one's mind "occupied" during an outside run, where as, on a treadmill you feel like you're on a gigantic hamster wheel.

I have to say that I was intimidated by running outside as I hadn't done it since I was in the military, but I am a believer now after one run, it made me feel amazing, and it seemed like it took just a couple minutes. (in actuality it took 7) I even drove the path again to make sure it was actually a mile, that's how easy it seemed. I'm excited to see how far I can push myself while doing this outdoor running stuff, I felt like I could have gone another 2 miles easy.

What do you think, loyal reader of my diary?? Which do you prefer, inside or outside?

god did I not feel like doing anything today at the gym. I weighed myself this morning and was at 219.0, that's the lowest i've been in weeks, and I realized that I hadn't really been putting my "all" into it like I should have been. I was happy staying in the 220s, I could splurge here and there and then go to the gym and maintain pretty well. It's on again, I love watching that stupid red number go down, I know i should care about it, but I do.anyways, I did 2 chest and 2 back excersizes, and then ran a half mile and did 5 minutes of intervals...weak.
