My name is charles, and i'm a foodaholic

glad you got your motivation back^^
maybe your pmsing?! :3
jk jk lol!
but that explains weight gain and lack of loss for women...
and i DO know some guys who act like they are pmsing
occasionally xD

keep working hard! you will start losing again soon...

lol my wife would probably agree with you.

hahaha...

thats what i like about it here ppl tell it like it is...

'i have alot more energy now that i've quit smoking and eating like a fat bastard'!!

the reason i sought out a support group of some kind finally last wk was that i woke up & realised i'd almost killed my own arm...seriously it was as good as dead!! i had managed to lie on it while asleep & almost squish the life out of it??!

the princess knew she was lying on a pea FGS!! yet i couldn't even feel a whole arm!! my own arm!!!??

lol

i do the same thing from time to time, my wrist is usually the thing that hurts the most in the morning though, for some reason i bend it at night, like if you follow through on a jump shot bend...hold that under your head for about 8 straight hours...it really really hurts for about an hour in the morning, lol...ah well price i have to pay i suppose, my jump shot is getting stronger though on the bright side of things :) And yes people here do tell it like it is, because we've all come to the realization that we need to live better, so why sugarcoat things or lie about things, not going to help anyone especially yourself, thanks for stoppin by my journal, it's good to see some new faces!

Hey!

Sounds like you're doing really well. Fair play to you, you're really giving it your all. In the gym twice a day? Now that's total dedication. Pity I don't live near you, you could drag me along to the gym twice a day. lol.

Keep up the great work ;)

today

soo last night went well, I took a half day at work to meet with my accountant and got all that stuff figured out but I didnt go to the gym during the afternoon, I did however go during the evening for basketball...man do I love that sport, it really sucked a few weeks ago cause i was suckin wind pretty badly after one game, now I can keep up really good though and am even outrunning alot of the guys who have been playing for a long time. We played pretty steady for about 90 minutes altogether...today I went and hit the weights over lunch, I think I'm going to start lifting during the day and doing cardio at night because lifting doesn't take as long for me and I have a limited time to work out over lunch. I got on the scale and was a bit under 239 so I guess any progress is good but honestly I could give a shit less how much I weigh at this point, I am pretty muscular, it's just covered with fat so I dont know if 190 is really attainable at this point but i'm gonna keep trying, if I weigh 220 and have 12 percent body fat that's a good thing too :) tested bodyfat again today and was down to 22%, yippee! Cardio tonight before lunch, gonna try for an hour, also found out that there is a half marathon about 30 minutes away this spring that i would like to do...guess we'll see what happens!

well after the workout at the gym yesterday evening i decided to get on the scale and see what I weighed after I lost a little water weight, 236! honestly I'm just so happy to see that damn thing start moving again lol...anyways lifting today, not gonna do running this evening, might bike or elliptical or something though.

Great job! You're doing so well, and one more pound and you'll have your first stone off! Well done, keep up the good work :) You're really focused.

i lose focus from time to time, just trying to hold on for 2 or 3 weeks before i give myself a cheat meal. Applebee's for dinner tonight (steak house) so I'll have to watch my back there, calories have been known for sniping people when they're not even looking at applebee's :)

im lovin it

yea the applebees dinner went well, I had a 7 oz sirloin, brocolli, and portabello mushrooms, very nice meal for 350 calories :) I am officially melting too, my clothes are becoming very loose and I am just on cloud nine :) Didnt get on the scale yet this week but i'm very optomistic about it, weights during the day, cardio at night, and a balanced diet seem to be just what the dr ordered, later!

soo first day of marathon training kicked my ass..i'm thinking about dropping out of the biggest loser competition because i'm 99% sure the people "training" me don't have a clue what they're talking about, plus I have to waste 1 hour with them per week and it feels like a wasted day, they're workouts are weak...like last week they made me walk a mile in 15 minutes, when normally i would have run almost 2 miles in that same amount of time...meh who cares I guess as long as I'm getting healthier, I let myself enjoy a smoothie today although I'm using that term pretty lightly because I think you'd be better of having a milkshake sometimes instead of a smoothie, lol this one wasnt too bad though :)

%^#*ing popcorn day

So i work at a car dealership, and every time we have a "big sale" we make popcorn (movie theater style) and have free hot dogs and soda all day long...lol god I hate big sale days, meh i suppose if I gave into temptation every time it was around me i would succeed at all, just sucks when it's right in your face all day long...today I am not going to lift during the day, basketball night soo...kinda reserving all of my energy for that, it's amazing how much stronger you feel after a few weeks of weight training and cardio, the first night i played basketball (5 weeks ago) I had to use all of my legs to put it up from the 3 point stripe, and now it's just a little legs and a flick of the wrist and she's right there :0 just feels good I guess, I went a little overboard with the coffee today and drank about 5 cups so now im bouncin off the freakin walls..oh I've also decided to do this 100 pushups thing that someone posted on another thread, supposed to make you be able to do 100 consecutive push ups, the most I think I ever did in the army was 75 and I was in damn good shape then..anyways that's it for now!

so i need a new belt, I've officially run out of holes on my belt because my waist is getting smaller...I can't say i'm too upset about it either! gonna try to post a picture here as kind of a 4 week mark, lol...at work.

Today was a great, horrible day at the gym...lol. Let me explain, I didn't eat or drink anything this morning because I wanted to see what I weighed without all of the water weight, so I go in for the weigh in, and hooray! 233, that's really great! So I'm pretty excited, then grobbulus says that he wants to take me through a workout, which is fine...keep in mind that I haven't drank any water today and yesterday I worked out shoulder/back/chest really hard....well guess what, today we're going to do superset circuit training on shoulders, back, and chest...%&$* I told him that I hadn't drank any water and that I lifted those same muscle groups yesterday, and the more I talked, the more I sounded like an excuse machine so I said screw it let's do it...well if you don't know what kind of workout I'm talking about it goes something like this, you do about 75-80% of your max 12 times on a given lift, then when you're done with those reps, the trainer lowers the weight by about 15 lbs and you do another 12 reps..this happens for four sets on oh...8 different machines...holy crap i felt like I was going to vomit. But I guess I made it through and took a shower and here I am back at work bitching about it...I guess it's better than a workout that I couldn't even feel though :/

Just checkin in on you!

Wow, that sounds like a really good workout though. I get that sick feeling too, from pushing myself too hard! All worth it in the end!

You look great in your photo. Very handsome :)

Keep up the great work, bud.

ok sooo...after a bit of a rough weekend (good friend going back to iraq) I hit it pretty hard today for lunch, wanted to see what my one-rep max was so i did a couple light sets to "warm up" and then moved on to some heavier weights...i put 225 on there at the end and barely got it with no help so i figure that's a pretty decent max, higher than it ever has been anyways (by about 10 lbs) So I'm feelin pretty good, bouncing around a bit and i finish up my workout with about 5 minutes to spare..so I think to myself, I'm gonna see what I can do on machine bench press cause when I was lifting in high school I could always do about 10 more lbs on machine that I could on Barbell...turns out machine bench press is worthless, I did 295 3 times...then I got my spotter and showed him, he was just shocked..i know that machine BP is usually easier, but 70 lbs easier?!? Whatever, lol all I know is I got to tell people I benched 295 :)

bleh

I started this new lifestyle out just running my butt off, no lifting at all, just running, then after about 4 weeks i did both, lift in the day, run at night...and that went well for about 2 weeks, now evidently I hate cardio because I haven't been doing it...i've been sticking with my diet and lifting every day, even though I won't build any muscle. I gotta get motivated to run some more :/

back on the forum!

Ok,

So it's been quite awhile since I last posted, got a new computer, lost the address, the excuses are endless :) I did not fall off of the wagon, still going pretty strong...ended the biggest loser competition in 4th place, so not too bad on that front. Since the competition ended i've changed my routine, I now do cardio for an hour each day, on monday, wednesday, and friday, usually consisting of running straight for about 10 minutes to warm up, and then doing interval training for 30-40 minutes depending on how i'm feeling that day...then I do resistance training for maintenance on tuesdays and thursdays. I am down to 222 lbs this morning which hops around a lb or two each day in either direction, i feel lately like i've been stuck in the 220s for quite awhile, but I think this is the hardest part, most everyone plateaus at some point in their journey and this is mine, hoping to be down to 200 by the end of july though so it's time to hit it hard! Hope everyone has been doing well and staying on track, gonna try to update this more often now :/
