Hey Bellaryna, I know what you mean. I had lost 8lbs and gained 4lbs back in half the time with my tumble off the wagon. (I'm hoping part of that is T.O.M., guess we'll see later this week). But thankfully, this year atleast, I havent given up. I may sit in the dust for a minute to regroup, but then right back up I go. Good Luck.

Glad to hear that you haven't given up.
Dusting ones self off can be a humbling experiance but definately a learning one.

Oooo I love it when there is a definate goal in mind.
I always do better with that.
Perhaps that is my major hang-up now. No real "look at me moment".
I would love to try the cooking ahead thing. But I barely have time right now to cook, let alone 6 days in advance! LOL
Great job on the food and workouts.

:iagree: Touche!!

Hey Bella..you should try cooking ahead for the week...I BET it will save you some time. Freeze everything on sunday ... take it out when you need it.

Just got in for the gym...today was...

Zumba class
20 minutes in the pool
15 minutes in the steam room
30 minutes cardio

Nutrition wise...Wednesdays are my spiritual fast day (I don't eat from sunrise to 1pm) so no breakfast but for lunch I ordered a medley biryani which I ate about 1/4 of with garlic naan and yogurt sauce. The biryani wasn't cooked to my liking so I picked out the meat and gave the rest to my sister. I also had some (about 6) soft peppermints, a canned ginger ale..I think I need to eat something more so before church tonight I'm gonna hit up subway for a 6inch sub or I think Ill just make me one since we have all that stuff up stairs in the kitchen.

Gotta run...will hit up diaries tomorrow.

Deadlines = more motivation! It's going to be exciting seeing how you manage it! Best of luck with your workouts and such

Isn't that cool how that worked out...just when I needed an extra push of motivation. holla atcha later homie!

....and the friggin plot thickens....she strains her ankle while doing high knees over steps during boot camp class this morning. :eek2: think I stopped....heck no...I finished the class but did take it easy. Malachaia teaches this class...he surprised me how tough he is..

So, I figure this will throw a monkey wrench in my running schedule over the next few days so I'll switch to bike or eliptical.

Breakfast: Large Carrot and Raisin salad, 4 chicken minis
Lunch: will have a Jamacian beef patty w/ cheese and Coco bread
Dinner: we'll see.

Just be careful~
You don't wanna be outta commission for sure.

As far as weight..the scale gave me a number this morning that I ABSOLUTELY do not believe so I'll not post my weight until tomorrow or wednesday so I won't be faking myself out. I'm about to do my cooking for this week...got in late last night and was tired/lazy.

Lata Gatas.

deceiving scales

I totally know what you mean about getting one of those numbers, but I have my official weigh-in days and I only count the weight on those days. Although I do like checking in on the scale inbetween weigh days.

SO what are we cooking this week?

You know...I oughtta go with an OFFICIAL weigh in day. duh :banghead: lol. Still getting the same # from the other day (237--again!) ...was just telling Bella I've been at or around this number for the last 4 months...although I did have a dip down to 225 for a good week. Will get there again.

Correction from yesterday...instead of eating subway's...I ended up having about a cup of some good ole beans and two forkfuls of hamhocks (my mom is a southern belle).....I started to eat the whole hamhock but in my mind I said I just wouldn't do it so I just ate enough to satisfy my taste. To counterack the salt in the hamhocks I downed an extra 16oz of water.

SO what are we cooking this week?

Glad you asked...

B-soy burger with slice of cheese (I know I bought a bag of thomas's english muffins but I searched far and wide in the deep freezer and couldn't find them...hmmm), about 1.5cup white grapes
S-medium banana, fruit roll up
L-salmon steak, 2 serv veges, I just could NOT go without my large carrot raisin salad with seeds....I really gotta learn to make this myself.
S-jello fruit cup
S-fiber 1 bar w/ peanut butter
D-not sure yet.

So get this...I'm on facebook now...I get a request today saying....hey, aren't you that girl that's always at the Y on xyz blvd. Awh...that's cute cause for a long time my friends called me 'KK Glaze' b/c of my fondness for Krispy Kreme original glaze donuts. hee hee

AND ya' girl is regular again...life is grand!! I know thats TMI :leaving:

Real quick...just wanted to add ... for dinner I had a cold cut sandwhich and a protien fruit smoothie. Ummm...mmm

I've been on this cold cut sandwhich kick this week so next week I think I'll work that in for lunch.

Exercise:

30m cardio
resistance training
yoga class

Whoo hoo...my saturday night is a few hours til over and I did not overeat. :hurray:

This weekend I volunteered with Samaritan's Feet, the org. I went to Cape Town with last year. One of the guys that volunteered with me is a PT and has his own business. Of course we got to talking and I'm may let him train me. He's about $55 per session which is not the most expensive...but...for me...an investment...I invest in everything else might as well invest in my body eh'. May wait until the boot camp is over and give it a try.

Lawd, I just saw Madea goes to jail...it was funnier than I thought it would be...will add that one to my library.

Aiight...here's the menu for next week.

Will post up my daily workouts and if I make any deviations

Going to make my diary rounds. :seeya:

Not so bad so far. Monday was a snow day...my nephew and I made a cute snow man and snow angels. Because I was off all day I did end up eating a little over what was scheduled but didn't go crazy. Weighed in today at 236.6. (No exercise other than running around playing with the nephew).

So far today on track.

Not sure if I've posted about my wanting to buy a house before. Well, since relocating back home I decided I would much rather pay off my student loans (since my folks don't mind me being home, and I don't have a prob being home to save money) than get a home and still have almost 30k of student loan debt. So what I've been doing is paying down the loan by 1k a month which should put me in my house in less than two years. What I'm supa excited about is that over the last year I've been paying tons of money for supervision and TODAY I FINALLY submitted my application for Licensure. This means that I can make bookoos of extra money to pay off my student loans quicker. So my supervisor comes in to day asking me if I wanted to do some contract work with this group home...I'm like oh, hell yes...that's an extra $700 a month. Then the lady that was supervising me opened up her own agency and I'm volunteering with her until I'm officially licensed...once I'm licensed she will hire me on which will be another $700 a month.... bye bye student loans hello...my American dream.

The only down side is that I will have to stop being lazy and give up my couch potato time....will also HAVE to work out in the AM cause I won't have time in the PM any more...I don't think I'll be able to do any more of my PM gym classes (yoga, zumba, cycle). that really sux...but having debt sux more. Gotta go cause I'm at work...by the way...can I just THANK GOD cause I prayed on this and He answered me. Also because He put me in this job with a crazy flexible schedule...this HAS to be his Hand.
