I attended a Disability Awareness luncheon today at my job. I tell ya' our clients are so my heroes. I almost cried hearing every single testimony.


I did not allow myself to eat at the luncheon (well, I did have a chicken wing)...instead I ate what I brought. I ditched my dinner plans for some super fruity trix (about 3 servings) and soy milk and a PB & J sandwhich. Gosh that was good.

As with every friday I fear the weekend and what it brings to eat so I'll be posting my meals. Just know that tomorrow is my cheat day and on my cheat day I lose all comprehension of things like calorie, nutrition, protein...what is that anyway. lol

Aiight ya'll I'm going to have some fun. You do the same!

Dubstep - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia is a genre of electronic music that has its roots in London's early 2000s UK garage scene. The name of the genre was coined by Ammunition Promotions. It's fun to dance to! But hard when the beat drops.....
 
Excited a Myspace friend and I are starting a 50lb weight loss challenge. VERY similar to the accountability challenge on this board. It starts Nov. 1st....Anywho, if I win the challenge I'm negotiating that a guy friend buys me a head to toe makeover with his tailor who has the nicest italian fabrics. And yes, I plan on him buying the sexiest heel and handbag I can find. That's some motivation!

I kicked my butt this morning during cardio. 30m run, 1:15 in pool (oh yea, did I mention I can do entire laps now. :jump:) and hot dang it...I found some peace this morning right there in that pool. Can't even begin to explain the tranquility I felt...it was amazing. Guess you find what you're looking for.

After the pool I did another 25m run.

I got a glimpse of myself in my mind competing in a triathlon. hee hee @ me finding new and improved ways of motivating myself. Anything is possible, right? Right!!

So far today I've had two PB & J sandwhiches (my favorite thing in the world). Think I may hit up a protein smoothie in a few.

Will check in later tonight.

ohh la la...my Hungry Girl cookbook got here yesterday. *rubbing my hands together @ the thought of me getting comfortable in the kitchen. My *future* husband is gonna be happy about this move.
 
Okay so today not so good in the nutrition dept.

3 Reese's White Chocolate Peanut Butter cups (hav merci)
Fish sandwhich from McDonalds (and this was for breakfast/brunch-while shopping)

about 4 chicken wings from Bojangles
A few fries from my nephew
taste tested my lunch for next week
protein smoothie (I copped some new flavored-vanilla- protein powder. I normally do the unflavored...this vanilla makes my smoothies super sweet...not sure I like it...but I'll get adjusted).

I think that's it. yea I overdid it but...do you know I checked my weight this morning and I clocked myself at 230...about an hour later 231...about 5 hrs later 235....so I had a good week...cause I started at 239.6.


Menu for next week (M-R) I'm at 2400cals this week.

B: Protein Smoothie, 2oz Smoked Salmon, 2 whole eggs, 16g shredded cheese
S: 2 Wasa Crackers, 2oz Tuna Fish, 2tbsp Ranch Dressing
L: 1serv Basmati Rice, 1serv Shrimp, 1 Italian Sausage, 1serv Spinach
S: Fiber 1 bar, 1tbsp Peanut Butter, 1 Dole Jello fruit cup
D: Parmesean encrusted Tilapia, lol, 7oz Cabbage, Protein Smoothie
 
Damn...mom made a sweet potato pie...just got a sliver-just so I could taste it. Umm umm good.

Also, I carved my first pumpkin today with my nephew...pic attatched. (in the end I went a little crazy carving the eyes out so it's looks befittingly spooky).

So my weight decided to settle in the middle...I checked in this am @ 233.6 (or .9, I forget). So take that weight loss ticker...I ain't gotta change you now. lol :boxing:

I'm ready for weight training tonight. Strangely enough I enjoyed it last week.

Stiff leg dead lifts using dumbbells: 1st set: 30lb on both sides, 2nd set: 35lb, 3rd set: 40lb
Squats: 1st set: 25, 30, 35
Bicep curl on ball: 15, 20, 20
Shoulder press (forgot how to do it on ball, so did it on machine) 20, 30, 30
Tricep ext w/ rope: 50, 60, 60
Chest press: 45, 75, 75
Lat pull down: 45, 60, 75

Aiight, today is real chill. No deviations yet and the work day is almost ova. Tonight is my late night @ the gym so I'll eat dinner before leaving work @ 4/4:30. By the time I get home all I'll have time for is my protein smoothie then I'll be :sleeping:. (for those that don't speak smilie language...that means I'll be ready to sleep) :rotflmao:

So there is this really cute guy at the gym I've been noticing. We get there about the same time every day, it's interesting cause I feel like I'm following him...last week we were in the same pm classes and yesterday after my work out I saw him at Walmart which is outta the way from the gym. hmmmm....I hate this whole chilvalry thing...I NEVER approach a guy. Oh well.

It's all 3 for me. A supplement and meal replacement in the sense that I don't care to eat the extra protein in the meal so I just do a smoothie. Well I guess that doesn't really act as a meal replacement b/c I normally drink it along side my breakfast or dinner eh'. It is an appettite suppressant in the sense that it fills me up for a while so that I don't wanna eat anything else. Hope that answers your question.


I ate my snack late yesterday afternoon so by the time 4pm came around didn't feel like eating dinner so I went ahead with my pm workout. By the time I got home @ 9 I went straight to bed.

This morning I had breakfast as scheduled but I did about half my protein smoothie...that shiznit is just damn disgusting :puke:...I will be throwing that vanilla mix away tonight and will just have to deal with the extra $15 for the unflavored Farrow's protien from the health food store. I also ate a handful of mixed nuts.

I tanked in kickboxing this morning. Miss 2/3 classes and you lose the ability to back and side kick I see. sucks so bad.


On a bright note...Richie is old dude's name...he has a cute booty and I loved seeing him down face dog in front of me last night. hee hee :blush5:
 
Yesterday didn't eat all of my lunch (only the sausage and shrimp). Had two packs of crackers.

So far so good today...did have two extra wasa crackers with a wedge of laughing cow cheese.


Yesterdays strength training routine:

Walking lunges: 1st set of 10 lunges w/ 10lb dumbells, 2nd set with 15lb dumbells, 3rd set with 20lb dumbells.

Hip Aductor: 70, 80, 90
Hip Abductor: 70, 90, 100
Upright row w/ dumbell: 10, 15, 15
Chest press on ball: 20, 20, 20
Standing bicep curl on pulley: 50, 50, 40
Bent row w/ dumbell: 20, 30, 35

Checked my weight this morning @ 235.8....this frightens me on account that I still have a week to go eating at 2400 before I bring it back down to 2100. I really don't think I will go up to 2800. Grinning and bearing this. ;0)...come Nov. 1st I'll be breaking it back down on my challenges so it is what it T-I-IS

Haha! Only once was I distracted by a cute boy in Yoga. He took his shirt off halfway through and even though he was a slender, small little white boy, his chest was perfect. Just in a small way. Had my chi thrown off for a minute. HAHA!
