My Journey to surf Again

Fox after reading the first page of your thread, I have no idea why but I thought you were a boy.... So when I read that you were going to be a bridesmaid I was like WTF!?!?

Anyway I really envy you for knowing how to surf, thats one of the things I want to learn as well, but to embarrassed to do it at my current weight.

As for your weight loss you seem to be doing really well, and even though we get in a slump sometimes we just have to keep going forward.

You have done great with all the weight you have lost so far.
Are you surfing again yet? (I didn't read the whole thread) that would have to be a great workout.

I've had setbacks lately too, just going to forget about them now that I'm back on track!

155 for September 21st sounds manageable to me! You can do it!

What exercise are you doing? I just started weight training (45 minutes 5 times a week), and at the minute I'm trying to readjust my schedule to fit in enough cardio aswell.

I was jogging/walking for about an hour and a half twice-a-week, but haven't been doing it weekly lately. Ugh.

LOL, I think a LOT of people thought I was a dude... and probably because of how I type stuff out. I'm a tomboy. :D
And surfing is pretty tough. I haven't been surfing in a month of two and I need to get back out there.

Yea, it's going well, and you're gorgeous!
Thanks! I WAS doing well but I'm really, really struggling right now. And I do look pretty good as of late. :D

Like I said, I haven't been surfing for a little while and I really need to get back out there.

... Long story short: Eating bad -> Why?
I have been asking this question over the last couple of days. Have I really lost that motivation? That drive to keep eating right? Am I stressed?

I'm not stressed. But I think ever since the move I've been struggling to get back on my feet. The fact that I don't have a gym a few feet away is a bummer and money has been a little tight lately doesn't help. I ate REALLY bad over at my Sister-In-Laws and haven't been eating right ever since. Also, it seems like 160 is my "DOOM," weight. Whenever I get in the lower 60s my motivation runs out and I'm like "Screw it. I'm done." and than I give up.
But I can't give up on losing weight... I came waaaaaay too far. And I KNOW I can get into the 50s again. I just gotta keep trying and remember to take it one day at a time like I used to. I think with her wedding coming up I'm thinking too far ahead and that's what's causing me to fail.

Hey Fox! Awesome job on your loss thus far. I love your 'ticker' (?) graphic in your signature! Awesome :D I'd kill to weigh in at 160! I am tall girl with a big frame though. At the lowest weight I can remember seeing was 168, and I fit size 7 jeans I bought in the juniors department at Ross. It was an amazing feeling! I maintained around 170 for over a year but it crept back up... worst feeling I was so much happier I swore I would never be fat again and 100% believed it... FAIL.

Anyways keep up the good work! You'll get there :)

Thanks slick! And I made the "ticker," in Adobe Phothop CS6, but it was only a trial version (I'm too poor to drop 700$ on the full version right now, ugh!).

I SWORE I was gonna be 164lbs, but I'm just happy that I really didn't gain anything. I got my motivation back! :D

I went to work yesterday and got on the scale and it said I was 166lbs... and I know they had just worked on the scale recently. Can digital scales be wrong? The one at home says I'm 162lbs and now I'm freaking out. :(

I always find it best to only use the scale that I have at home, even if it might be wrong by a couple of pounds, it will always show me how much I lose or gain each week.

Don't get to caught up on it Fox, just keep using the same scale you have been using and go with that. That's why I think it is better to use pictures and clothes as a better way of showing yourself how much you lost.

I recently found a box of old clothes and tried them on... I wore these when I was in the 40s/50s and they fit! :D

Thanks a-n-g-e-l!

Although lately I'm still in a slump with losing weight. I had Chi-Fil-A today and it was tasty... but I'm really regretting it now.
However, I did buy four bags of salad to eat over the next week. And I went jogging yesterday and I did beautifully! Half of the route I take I walked and the other half I jogged (usually I try to walk/jog ever so often, but I decided to push myself). I really pushed myself and I'm amazed how far I've come. Before I would never DREAM of jogging that distance (it was about a mile and not on a treadmill). I truly enjoy running outside rather than being on a machine, my only problem is I try to run at dusk/night and get a little nervous whenever a car goes by or I run past somebody walking.

My fi is waaaaay more suspicious than I' am and it's not like we live in a bad neighborhood. He usually calls me whenever I'm about 8 minutes away just to check up on me, and I always answer the phone huffing and puffing, still jogging away. :p

So I still got time to lose the weight I want to. If I could just make it to 158-155 by late September that would be awesome! By scale said I was 162lbs this morning (I'm avoiding the one at work like it's the plague) and I'm staying optimistic. I gotta push past these stubborn 60s. I just gotta.

I just got done jogging about three miles straight and the one reason why I pushed so hard was because I had some french fries and two hot dogs for dinner. I also had a Turkey Flat-bread foot-long w/ tomatoes, spinach leaves, jalapenos, banana peppers and avocado from Subway (with a bag of kettle-cooked jalapeno chips and a medium unsweetened ice tea). So yes, I felt a strong NEED to jog it all off. :)

My fi and I also watched Soul Sufer (a super cheesy, happy-go-lucky surfing movie) and it inspired me to get back on track towards surfing again. :D
