My journey to good health....and a hot bod ;)

Day 15

Today has been a good day. I've done my workout dvd despite my muscles in my calves killing me. I thought exercise was supposed to get easier the more you do it. Haha!

Today i've had......
2 weight watchers brownies
1 large snack a jack
1 packet of snack a jacks
1 Actimel yogurt drink
1 cup of tea
1 banana
2 pieces of cod (90 cals each)

Wow doesn't it look like i've eaten loads :/

I'm weighing myself tomorrow. Tuesday is official weigh day, and quite honestly, i'm terrified of what the scales are going to say to me!

Day 16

So I weighed myself about 5 minutes ago and the scales were good to me today. I'm now 168 which is 9lbs lighter than my starting point.

Also another thing I would like to kind of celebrate..........I'm very close to not qualifying as obese :hurray:

Well done!!!! Go you girl!!!

i m excited to that sort of qualification too! :) i have about 5 kg to go until that.

Thanks ladies! :)

So today i've had.....
2 weetabix with semi skimmed milk for breakfast

For lunch i've had 4 weigh watchers brownies (I swear those things were made by the devil himself. I shouldn't buy them really, once I start I can't stop.) With a banana and packet of snack a jacks.

For tea i've had 5 slices of chicken with a small amount of lettuce. I was too lazy to cut up the cucumber haha! With a packet of snack a jacks and a actimel drink yogurt thing.

Also had 1 cup of tea. It's important to add that I have 11 sweetners :$ thankfully they are only around 1 calorie each!

I'm not sure i'll be doing any exercise tonight. I've just sunk my teeth into a new essay, so i've got reading on feminism to do.....oh how delightful! Meh we'll see!

Well I got my exercise done which I breezed through today, it was so easy which made a change. And I also got a bit of my feminism work done, so win win situation!

I'm now off for a nice relaxing shower and to settle down to watch Eastenders.

Tomorrow my Gran is coming down to Manchester to visit for the day, so we're going go to go shopping at the Trafford Centre and grab lunch and maybe tea. She's getting fish and chips from Harry Ramsdens, so i'm hoping I have enough willpower to order nothing from there and maybe pick up a jacket potato with beans or something. That's more healthy than fish and chips right? :p

Belated Day 17

So day 17, I wouldn't be surprised if I put on a pound or two after the junk I ate yesterday.......totally my Gran's fault :p Nah, I always knew i'd be a bit more lenient when she came down because we go for cups of tea and things.

Anyway, this is what I've had......

Weetabix with semi skimmed milk
Fish and chips for lunch :$
Muffin with a cup of tea
6inch Sub (but I only have lettuce and chicken inside)
Packet of snack a jacks.

I also did no exercise because I was exhausted when I got in. I fell asleep at 6! By the time I woke up, I had no energy and couldn't be arsed.

On the bright side though, it was a very successful day shopping. I managed to pick up some bargains which are Christmas presents. A scarf £3 reduced from £6, it's lovely and soft too (stocking filler for my Dad), and also this thick woollen jumper kinda cardigan which is mega thick and warm, £15 reduced from £38, bargain! :)

I also picked up Water for Elephants book. Robert Pattinson is starring in the film, which I think comes out in May and I thought i'd read it beforehand! Anyone else planning on seeing the film?

Caio for now folks! :)

Day 18

I've just finished my exercise. Today i've found it be a real struggle, I felt as though I was going to vomit at any moment, and my limbs felt really stiff so I struggled to keep up with the dvd - which is out of character. But I still managed to get through it, I just keep thinking, come on Stacey 2 more times to go, 1 more time to go. I also focused on the thought of a slimmer body. It's mental images like this which get me through tough exercise times.

I've not eaten much today, mainly because i've spent most of the day sleeping (too many late nights and early mornings catching up with me). I've had.....

2 weetabix with semi skimmed milk
1 packet of weight watchers crisps (which have no flavour:()
1 packet of weight watchers biscuits (2 to a pack) .....these are very yummy!

And for tea, I plan on having 5 slices of chicken with lettuce, cucumber. And an activia yogurt drink. I might also slip in a banana. And that's the whack for the day.

........Zzzzzzzzzz

Day 21

Day 19
Ok so, for tea I had to scrap the salad. Unfortunately I found that all my meat and lettuce had gone off :(

I went to my friends flat that night for a movie night, and i'm ashamed to admit it, but I binged really bad. I had a burger and chips (take out), 2 packets of crisps, 2 cans of coke, and then a giant bag of malteasers from the vending machine. I felt mega guilty as soon as I finished scoffing the lot. And then I thought, omg how much weight am I going to put on with that lot?

Day 20
I weighed myself and i'd put on 1lb, so I thought ok thats not so bad and should be easy enough to get back off. I done my exercise dvd yesterday and this is what I ate......

1 banana
2 packets of weight watchers biscuits (2 in a pack)
1(or 2 (can't remember) bag of weight watchers crisps
1 large snack a jack
2 pieces of cod (90 cals each)

Day 21.....today, I think oh god do I really want to weigh myself? Anyway I step on the scales and i'm now 167lbs, which means I dropped the one I put on, on thursday and also taken off an additional pound. It also means that i'm finally in the 11 stones, yay! It's nice to be able to step on the scale and not see a 12 stone staring back at me. Another thing to celebrate, that means so far i've dropped a total of 10lbs and it hasn't even been 3 weeks into the lifestyle change yet!

Day 21 Again

Today i've skipped exercise, after all the work my legs have done this week, I figure they deserve a night off.

Eating wise, i've had.....

2 weetabix with semi skimmed milk
4 snack a jacks (38 cals each)
1 packet of weight watchers biscuits (2 in a pack)
3 glasses of milk
6 sausages, bit of spud with 2 yorkshire puds and gravy (I dread to think of the calories in the sausages).

Congrats on your weight loss!! *dances around tooting a horn* You're doing great! You should be very proud of what you've accomplished :)

And don't feel guilty about taking a day off! It's good to have a rest day - it lets your body and muscles recover :)

As for the binging - we all do it :) It's just important to recognize when you're binging because of social events and giving yourself a night off (i.e., a treat), or if it's for some other deeper reason! Heck, I think we all deserve to treat ourselves every now and again! As long as we keep the bigger picture in mind, and make sure we keep on a healthy track the rest of the time! (Because I promise you- I WILL NOT be giving up chocolate cake!! :p )

Great work!!! :) And congrats again!!!

Aww thank you, your post made me smile!

I understand where you're coming from. I refuse to give up sunday dinners. I feel bad enough I have to give up chinese and kebab. But I spend 90% of my time in Manchester, and the best chinese and kebabs are in Newcastle.....a good couple of hundred mile away, haha how convenient!

You too are doing well with your weight loss. Yay for both of us! :hurray:

Day 22

So today has been a good day.

I've had......
2 weetabix with semi skimmed milk
2 packets of weight watchers biscuits (2 in a pack)
2 large snack a jacks
Weight watchers curry meal

I haven't had my curry yet. I'm just about to do some exercise, and then i'll be having my tea. I don't tend to eat much over the weekend, I usually run out of food by sunday. Ha! Monday is food shop day though.

Next weekend i'm going back to Newcastle for the weekend and my Gran and I have decided to order a chinese for Friday night so it is especially essential that I eat healthy and keep up my exercise this week in order to ease my guilt when friday night finally rolls around. I'm actually quite excited! :willy_nilly:

Hi Stacey, looks like your plan is working. You've lost ten pounds in a short period of time. To answer your question its been several years since I was at my highest weight. Have been 185-195 for many years so I am doing another push now to get down lower. So far so good, 7 pounds and lots of inches lost in January.

Whey! Well done :hurray:

Thanks. The challenge is to keep going. It is hard work but the secret is to trick yourself in to working out and enjoy the changes we've made.

Hey Stacey!

I love your plan on working hard this week to enjoy your Friday dinner!!!

Smart move- I think I'm going to do that this week too!! Nothing like enjoy yourself and rewarding your hard work :)

Hey :)
I'm also an English student! There seems to be more and more of us every day lol

I'm from Leeds so only a few miles from you really.

Well done on the weight loss so far! You've done amazingly!
Oh to be under 12 stone again though :p
I'd be nearly at going lol

You seem really dedicated and I think you've really got in the right mind set.
Enjoy your chinese :)

Ah I can't wait! I can feel my mouth watering all ready. And I still have 5 days to wait! :(

What you thinking of pigging out with?

well, and I hate to say this, tomorrow night I'm going out to dinner with friends- I want sooo badly to indulge myself with a few glasses of wine, but I think I'm going to be good...but on sat, I'm leaving for 10 days to go away with a group of girls skiing....this trip will be filled with junk food and lots of booze :( So I'm trying to work out a bunch, so that I can eat off the wagon a bit (I'm going to try my best to make the most healthy choices!! But it'll be hard!!) hehehehe
