my diary

Hooray my cycle to work was much better than on Tuesday and I actually really enjoyed it. I saw some lovely wildlife and the weather wasn't too bad although it was spitting rain most of the way. I'm actually finding myself desperate for 5pm not because I want to get home but because I want to get back on my bike. Finally it looks as though I've found another means of getting fit that I will enjoy a lot.:)

Took me 35mins today and I enjoyed the feeling of whizzing past all the cars that were stuck in the traffic.:D

crunchy i have been thinking of getting a bike myself. i havent been on one in years. hope they still come with instructions lol..... glad your enjoying your rides.

Good job on cycling to work! :D That would be really nice to not be stuck in traffic! Your food looks really good. But don't you like you should have more than an apple for dinner?

Breakfast: fruit and cereal bar (60)
Lunch: wholemeal spaghetti with vegetarian bolognaise and goats cheese (900)
Tea: ½ grilled chicken breast in wholemeal pita bread with salad (350)
Snacks: banana(80), fruit juice(50)
Supper: apple(50)
Exercise: gym session (300cals), swim session (50lengths), 10 mile cycle
Fizzy juice: 1 can of Irn Bru32 (37cal)
Water: 5 x 500ml bottle
Fruit and veg portions: 6

Well my plan didn't pan out EXACTLY as planned, found the 64 lengths in the pool was too ambitious after everything else I'd done so I settled for 50. I think this is still the most exercise I've deliverately done in my life though.

Hypo I think we're getting confused over terms. In Scotland our main meal is our "tea" which we have at around 5-6pm. Supper is simply a little before-bed snack. I had my main meal at lunch time today though as I wanted to stock up on carbs as early as possible

You're doing great Crunchie!!! I'm so proud of you :D Your food is looking great too! :D Keep it up ;)

Wow - I've actually read through all 12 pgs of your diary! I didn;t really mean to, but it was very entertaining :D You seem like a really cool person, Crunchie!! :)

Good job on everything - especially on getting so much excercise into your day! You're doing awesome!!

Oh, I get it now! Why didn't I think of that? Lol! :D Sorry, I'm a little slow sometimes! ;) In that case, your food IS looking really really good! :D

Don't worry Hypo my ex used the term supper for his main meal as well.

Sorry I didn't reply to my thread yesterday with food details but I was a bit knackered.

Lunch: egg mayo sandwich on wholemeal bread, banana
Tea: quorn fillet, boiled mixed veg
Snacks: apple, cherries, grapes, almonds
Supper: fruit juice
Exercise: none
Fizzy juice: none
Water: 5 x 500ml bottle
Fruit and veg portions: 6

I was at work from 9-2 yesterday and as it was in Denny I couldn't cycle there sadly. This week should be my last time I have to work there for a while thankfully. In my tea break I'd brought a packet of egg mayo sandwiches however only ate one. Also had a couple of handfuls of almonds plus an apple.

For my tea I cooked a quorn fillet type thing and had it with spinach and boiled mixed veg so that was rather nice.

After tea dad insisted we needed stuff from the super market (stuff = fizzy juice, crisps, cakes etc). However I was pleased to find he brought home a lot of fruit too so I sat with a bowl of cherries, strawbs and grapes when watching he football.

It's my weight in today but I'll I'll do it latr after I've had my shower etc (it's 5.30am - couldn't sleep).

 well my weigh in will have to weight (get it???) til tommorrow as my mum was in the kitchen all morning and I couldn't get to the scales. Another result of this was that I didn't eat breakfast thinking I was going to be weighing myself soon but as it turned out mum didn't leave until lunch time. Had a vegi burger chopped up with salad in a wholemeal pita bread along with some cherries so far. Got loads of housework to do and as it's peeing down I doubt I'll get out for a walk either.:(

Good work on the biking!
i love biking in the country, but here people aim for you, and cyclists seem to get hurt.
You food is making me sooooooo hungry. :D

Good work,lady.:)

Snacks: cherries, grapes, peanuts
Supper: apple
Exercise: none
Fizzy juice: none

Hopefully you'll all get the reason why I didn't have breakfast yesterday in the above post.

Anyway I'm sorry I didn't update much yesterday, was a bit tired at night and lacked the brainpower needed to post anything.

I did my weigh in today and have lost 2.5lb last week so that's good but I'd like to try a little harder this week and shed the 3lb needed to get me to my half way point. :)

I chose not to cycle to work today as it's blowing a gale, instead I'll go to the gym tonight I think.

YAY!!!!! Congrats on your loss. Keep it up Crunchie!!! Your food is Great and your staying active. Have a WONDERFUL Day and don't forget your WATER:D

woohoo!

Woo hoo! Great job, Crunchie! You hang in there and keep up the good work. You are doing things in a healthy way, and should be very proud of yourself. :)

Breakfast: slice toasted brown bread on low fat spreading cheese
Lunch: brown roll on tuna, grapes
Tea: wholemeal spaghetti with vegetarian bolognaise
Snacks: banana, handful nuts & raisins
Supper: pear
Exercise: 1hr cycle
Fizzy juice: none
Water: 3 x 500ml bottle, 2 glasses
Fruit and veg portions: 4

Today has been OK other than my total lack of motivation. :(

As I was working 9-5 I took in my usual fruity snacks and bought a brown roll on tuna mayo from the bakers at lunch time. :D

By the end of my shift I was thinking "I really don't want to go to the gym tonight" along with "but you'll feel bad if you don't". Eventually I decided I'd see what I'd do once I got home at night.

Tea was whole meal pasta with home made sauce again and it was rather scrummy.

Instead of going to the gym I decided to go out on my bike for an hour so I'm just out the shower.:)

Tommorrow I need to cycle to work before I break my habit of doing so but it really was blowing a gale today.:(

Gotta hate those days when you feel like doing NOTHING at all!!! I have to say, for feeling blah...you still did a great job eating and exercising today!!! So what you didn't do the gym...you still moved and got exercise...great job!!!! I will now think of you when I want to bail on my exercise or when I want to eat bad : "What would Crunchie do?"

Your food really puts what I've eaten to shame. You are doing great even if you are lacking motivation. :D

You know what, I just noticed this, but is that actually a huge spider on your hand in your avatar?
