Hey, if anyone is into hypnosis I found this website and there is a weightloss hypnosis podcast on here. I just did it. Don't know if it works, but it is really relaxing.
 
Great weight loss!! I was on fish oil pills awhile back for something else. They are a natural laxative if you don't overdue it, they will definitely keep you regular without side effects.
 
Yeah, that's what I found. The bottle says to take it 3 times a day (with every meal) but if I do that then I'm a wee bit too regular. LOL

Well, to tell you the truth I spend way to much time here, b4. I was just reading your diary that you were going to the Rib Fest. That's where I'm going tonight too. Different Fest, I'm sure. Is Foreinger playing at your Rib Fest? :) Too funny!

I'm going to start out with one a day on the fish oil. Thanks for the congrats on the weight loss everyone. I hope ya'll have a great weekend.
 
okay honestly... like you I've been always been pretty regular. since starting my healthier living though I'm still usually regular but some days I might not go cause I'm guessing there's not enough food/fiber in me. Cause I'm not eating as much as I used to. Conversely, if I eat something I used to eat alot of and eat it now, my body would not be comfortable with it (ie: like fat, grease & oil). I'd get a tummy ache and stuff. but all in all, i've found that my uh... by-product is um.. healthier looking? :confused: heh. ^___^;; I saw it on Oprah and they were describing how it SHOULD look like (a banana) with the right texture and I was like, "hey! that's mine!" heh. sorry to be so honest and gross. ^__^;; but u did say u wanted honesty.
 
Interesting info on the fish oil pills, don't think it's for me though... I'd end up taking a few and the rest of the bottle would just end up in my junk drawer.lol

1475? Is that with moderate exercise or if you lay in bed all day? Wow!

That's for laying in bed all day. Someone told me my calculator must be wrong so I'm trying to find another one. It's really freaking me out!!
 
Dear Diary,

I officially had a binge yesterday. I feel bad about it, but something has changed in my thought process. The reason I feel bad is because of the challenge. I joined with a commitment in mind and I did not make that commitment to my teammates. What has changed is I don't feel defeated and gross about it. In the past I would have said well, I ate bad yesterday, so I might as well just eat whatever I want today (which would be more high calorie stuff) and then just start again on Monday. Today I feel like I want to eat healthy food and I know if I stick to eating well all week, I will loose weight next Friday. It feels good to not feel bad. Since I am confessing to you, Diary...here is what I ate.

Breakfast:
Coffee
Panera Breakfast Soufflé

Snack:
Bite of Paul's hamburger
1 tiny dime sized cracker w/some sort of raspberry spread on it (it was a sample at a store)

Late Lunch/Early Dinner:
Salad (Lettuce, Tomatoes, Red Onion, Cukes, Sunflower Seeds and egg w/Ranch)
Broccoli Cheese Soup
2 Chicken Wings
Corn
Slice of Baked Ham
Banana Cream Pie

Snacks: (here's where it gets really, really bad :) )
Sugar Free Blueberry Pie
About 4 oz of Pecan Cheese Fudge
Tortilla Chips

OK, maybe not the full on binge as far as the amount of food, but two pieces of pie in one day is exceptionally note worthy. We went to this Amish town where they were having an antique flea market. I went into the market to buy some meat (they have the best smoked pork chops there) and came across that cheese fudge. I thought I have to try that!!

So anyway, today I am back on track. I got up way to early, so I feel the need for a nap and it's only 8am. I'm going to get my housework done then take the dog for a walk. I've got a lot of moving to do so that yesterday doesn't set me back. I'll have to do some more dancing around the yard today as well.

Paul and I had a good time yesterday. We are such an odd couple. We have no problem going to a place and then just splitting up. It is almost a routine when we go to those type of places. We get out of the car, check the time and decide on when to meet up. It is usually an hour or so later. We then meet up and if one of us saw something we like or see a big ticket item we want to purchase we take the other one too it to show them. We don't really like to look at the same stuff, so it works out good for us. We just recently got cell phones (we hate talking on the phone) so it really enhances the routine. If one of us is bored and wants to meet up early we can just call each other. We are like an old couple who has been together for 50yrs. Yesterday at the antique flea market we noticed a lot of huge, old, framed pictures or brides and grooms. Some of them are really interesting looking. We decided we will buy one someday for the dining room and call it our "weddig picture" since we never bothered to get married and probably never will. He liked one yesterday because the groom looked very mafioso, but I didn't like the looks of the bride. She didn't look happy. I need my bride to look happy in my wedding portrait!

OK, I'm rambling.....better go get some breakfast before my metabolims comes to a halt.

Scarlett, I figured my calories to maintain my goal weight today and it was 1650. Let me know what you find out about yours. I also used this calculator to find out how much fat you should eat and mine said 55 grams a day. Doesn't that seem high?

Amazing how when a group of people come together they share so many things - (Rib Fest - SLOAN on the music menu here LOL). I sometimes think why can't I have that body, that will power or lose those inches - but I have found that we all have similar struggles and reading and typing away here on this site has put me in a more positive direction. Commitment to teammates - everyone is in it together and the great thing about your team and YOU is the support and your efforts to not give up and keeping true to your team - not giving up! Once again - enjoying your site and support! NAT
 
Sorry to hear of your off-day but I'm glad that didn't deter your mood or your attitude. Bravo for you girl. I'm also happy to hear you had a great time at the flea market. Those are always fun aren't they? I think it's great that you and your guy can split up and meet back when you want. I don't think couples should be joined at the hip all the time. It's good when couples are comfortable doing that. It means you're both independent people & secure people. :)

Oh. I noticed that you mentioned the 55 g of day thing. I think that's a lil high... but that'd depend on what percentage of fat in your daily intake that the calculator you use considers healthy. Some people say a person should have 30% of their overall calories from fat. Other people say 45%. Some say as little as possible. So depending on the percentage the calculator you used is using... 55 g of fat from 1650 calories is possible if it has a high percentage for what is considered a healthy dose of fat.

Oh I also had a binge day yesterday and have convinced myself that I am not perfect! Yes it was a tough thing to accept (lol) but I have done it. So I woke up this morning and I am moving onward staying on track today (mini goal)! Gotta love this place and how everyone just gets where your coming from. SO lets pull back up our "boot straps" or should I say tie our sneakers tight and keep on truckin!!!!
