My Big Fat Journal

OK, I'm going to complain again. It is so @!#%$& hot. I did not go to the gym. It is even too hot to eat. I am barely at 1000 calories today and no plans for dinner. I do need to cook up some things as I did not do my Sunday cooking this week. I bet once I start smelling the food cooking I'll gain my appetite back. Nothing like some garlic simmering for a stir fry to get you drooling. Thanks for stopping by MissPrincess. I love that charity. Your hair must grow fast.

C-I have had many recommendations for hair stylist, but I must have funky hair or something. I don't like any of the cuts I get. You should try a jet ski. It is a blast. You can rent them at some lakes. Check it out on the almighty internet. Ya'll will have to go to Scarletts journal to see the pic. I'm not posting it here.

I better get cooking. Maybe I will come back by later. Thanks again, everyone.

Glad you liked the pic, Scarlett. It is very silly.

none at all? i'd sit down and have a LOOONG consultation with a hairstylist then and see what they recommend. Or flip through alot of mags. There must be something u'll find that u'll like.

Yo Pinster! Sorry it's hot over there now. *blows some of the British clouds and rain to Pineola* You're dead right though, absolutely nothing like garlic frying to get the juices flowing!

(Apologies for this; problem with going away, old news gets brought up again) but that Donna is such a... (uh oh, pun time) prima-donna! And, *urgh*, it annoys me so much when people blame their shortcomings on past problems. My now step grandad had a rotten previous marriage; he woke up with all his money gone and his car taken with only a note left to say that she'd left him. And yet he's the most cheerful, smiling person I know. In our holiday pics, there's not a single picture where he's not smiling. And he certainly doesn't blame anything on his previous marriage.

Grr! Yes, build a voodoo doll, and torture it the worst way possible; by poking a needle gently on the back, *right where she can't reach to itch!* Ha, that'll learn 'er!

*deep breath to calm self*

On the hair dye front, I've been dying my hair for over 4 years now. I've had it done bright red, purple and dark blue. Stuck with dark blue now though. Only problem with hair dye is that it fades dramatically with pool water. Definitely try the purple, that looks great on everyone!

Have a marvellous day!

Hi pineola! Hope you're doing well! Thanks for stopping by my diary. i actually did take a nap today! Have a good night! :)

Good afternoon my saucy sister? Did you get your cooking done?

I would have thought this heat wave would be a blessing for weight loss...but I'm staying the same. :(

Love your new dancing ticker!!!

Which number did you get(there are 5)? I have been doing #2 and really like it. I am going to get #5 which is the cardio dance routine. Juggalette on here has done both and does #2 about everyday and she looks awesome! That's what motivated me to get the tapes and actually use them!!! :) Tell me how you like it! GOOD LUCK!!

Dear Diary,

I think I am going to start that way from now on....

Today was the aftermath of Donna getting a talking too. I didn't mention yesterday, but my boss came down and talk to us all individually about Donna and then brought her in the office and told her she is making life miserable for all of us. She also went to her old boss and asked if there were any issues like this in the past and was told that yes there was! As I mentioned before my boss was kind of forced to hire her as we were moving her dept to another state and she had been with the company for over 20yrs. My boss was so pissed off when she heard that. She asked why the hell wasn't any of it mentioned in her reviews in her file. Donna's former boss told her, that she just left it up to the employees to tell her to shut up! My boss is so mad she reported them to the home office for not doing proper appraisals on people.

Anyway....today was the quietest day ever. I loved it. Donna didn't say a word until about 3pm and then it was only to ask me a work related question that I bet she was stewing on all day because she didn't want to talk to me.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I got my new workout DVD today from Netflix---it is the Carmen Electra Fit to Strip No 2. I'm waiting for the bedroom to cool down so I can go do it. I also have added a dance ticker. I have been inspired by Initial C to dance. I have to get 10 hours in by the end of August.

Eating wise I felt like I stuffed myself all day long. I had my Luna Bar and Cantaloupe for breakfast. Then I snacked on a yogurt. Then I went to lunch at Saladays and had a huge salad, a bowl of veggie barley soup and 8 tortilla chips w/about 2 tbl of that really crappy cheese sauce and some chicken. later I had about 1/2 cup of popcorn and some cherry tomatoes. When I got home I had some Moussakka and a glass of soy chocolate milk.

I added it all up and I am at 1688 for the day. I really couldn't believe it. I felt very out of control. Maybe my "out of control" isn't what it used to be. That would be good.

Still hot here. I'm glad I have not been going to the gym as I have heard it has been empty because the air cond in there is inadequate. I am so tempted to weigh myself before Friday, but I promised myself I would not ever do that. I keep reading everyone's diary where they are staying the same but doing everything right and it makes me anxious. At my weight I should lose weight whether I exercise or not. I think I have to eat about 2400 calories to maintain my weight which I have not been doing so I should lose.

Thanks for stopping by and giving darn.

YAY!! I'm glad you got #2! If you breath correctly and do it all you will feel the burn!!! I love it! Glad that Donna didn't bother you too much today. :)

Yay! I'm so glad you had a Stress free day at work!! You'll have to tell us how you like the Carmen Electra video! If it's pretty good I might get it for the hubby. LOL

I know exactly what you mean. I feel like I've eaten too much food when I get anywhere up around 1600 cals.

And the Donna crumbles!!!!! YAY!!!!

Don't worry, I'm sure Friday you will get pleasant results. Plateaus are not contagious!!! LOL!!!!

I just discovered that my calorie intake to maintain my goal weight is something like 1475 calories per day. How am I going to live on that???? YIKES!!!!

1475? Is that with moderate exercise or if you lay in bed all day? Wow!

I'm feeling it in the hips today, hf. I think it works.

Manaloa, the #2 is not actually the strip tease, but the exercise to get you in shape to do the strip tease :) That strip tease must be something because that work out is really good. It has core and lower body focus. I think it is well worth the time.

Hey, Nightporter...glad you made it back to your car!

Kaitie, I left you a link in your diary to a calculator you can use to figure out your calories.

Dear Diary,

I'm up to 1588 calories today and feeling stuffed to the gils. I had a little panic because I thought I had 2 pc's of chocolate hidden in the butter box in the fridge, and I didn't!!! I hate when that happens.

I hate to bring up un-ladylike conversation (not really, but I will pretend like i do), but I am wondering about something. Have any of you found since you changed your eating habits that you are not as regular as you used to be? I used to be the most regular person in the world. I was the envy of all. Now it is really hit or miss. I can go two days. I don't like it!

The cool air is finally here. 75 tonight. I have lots of exercise to do. I'm taking the dog for the walk, having a dance party and then going to do a couple of the sections of the Carmen Electra DVD. I can't do the whole thing again. I'll be too sore tomorrow if I do.

Tomorrow is the big weigh in! Good Luck, everyone....especially my Saucy Sisters.

All right you asked for it.

After I got off the artificial sweeteners and I became regular again. And I began to eat better. I did notice that I would go one, two or even three days in between which I found just as frustrating as you.

My father who takes a lot of different kinds of vitamens suggested fish oil pills for help with my digestion. So I started taking them, and I noticed that I became much more regular (at least once per day sometimes twice, but I wasn't taking them regularly)

Of course, I used myself as a guinee pig and went off it again to see if it really did affect my regularity. And within the day I was going two to three days apart again. Once I started taking them again regularly (once in the morning and once at night, but the bottle suggests three x/day) I've been going approximately 5-6 hours after taking the pill. Who knows what it does and if it helps everybody, but I'm going to keep taking it. The only thing is it's 1 gram of fat per pill, which admittedly is not much.
