Mrs Bear's Diary

TGIF :D Hope you've done well, missus! You have worked hard, and if the scales say anything otherwise then any and all of the 4 reasons are good enough excuses :p Especially the 4th!

Hope you have a marvellous day, and I'll hopefully see you later!

Hey Mrs Bear. Just let me know if you need me to take your scale out back and have a word with it. Since I had a runin with that first scale, I think my new one is intimidated by me.

Mrs Bear said:
Okay Bronsk, I have been well and truly told :D If the scales aren't nice, it is their fault, not mine. Don't worry about me, I have my excuses ready now.

a. Lethargic bowels
b. Put muscle on
c. Not as hot as last week, so not so dehydrated
d. Scales are mean :D

I'll do fine, loss or no loss!! ;)

/me scribbles down those excuses for later... Ilike 'em... especially the scales are mean... vindictive too :)

Hope you won't need them... :D

Congrats on fitting into your old clothes!!! That is so exciting- Who cares what the scale says when you're strutting around in your old size 16's?!

Lizards can be a tadpole daft can't they. I've had friends that are amazed how goofy my slowies are. In fact I have another funny story for you, yesterday I went into the room and found Harris (Eirinns friend heh) in her water dish with her head under water blowing bubbles through her nose. Some animals are very easily amused.

Also last night I had a look for my snake and saw him halfway out his hide staring at me (he's shamelessly nosey) so I waved my fingers at him and he started coming forward for a sniff, then he saw the shadow of my fingers on the other wall and then spent 30 seconds looking at both trying to decide which ones to sniff first. silly boy!

Hope you have a great weekend, keep up the good work!

2 more pounds gone! You're doing most excellent! :D Great to see you've made it 5 days no binge and no sugar also. Fitting into old jeans also WOO its been a great week for you. I'm so happy for you. Keep it up bud. ;)

Hey all!!

Scarlett, I made a mistake. I have been binge and sugar free since (and including) Sunday, so yesterday was actually 5 days, and today its 6!!! I will be having sugar tomorrow (black forest gateaux ... mmmmmm) but I am determined not to binge! ;)

Cheers Bronsk, I have had a pretty good day, hope yours has been fab too!! :)

Cannon, the scale is being quite nice now, but if it gives me any trouble in the future, I know where to come ;)

Hey Mal, no excuses needed!! (but I have them in reserve for later :D )

Val, you are so right!! Thanks for the reminder :)

Crunchie, funny story about snakes .... A colleague has a snake, which does not like being in its viv. It got free once and disappeared into his victorian flat. Six months went by and he sold his viv and all his equipment really cheap to another work mate and had given up all hope. Then one day his girlfriend drew back the curtain to get out of the shower, and there was the snake having a stand off with the cat :D He's gutted that he has had to buy a new viv, etc

Alicia, thanks for dropping by, and thanks for the encouragement.

Okay, very quick run down about today (before I forget what has happened), then I can find out how all you guys are doing.

Food: porridge for breaky, then the rest of the day has been mini babybels and fruit .... I just haven't had time for anything else.

Exercise: I did a 14 mile bike ride .... thats my century !!!! I did some weights as well. My weight management appointment went well, the lady is happy with my progress and just said, keep doing the same. Then this evening, I have made black forest gateaux, and did not lick one spoon or bowl .... no sugar has passed these lips. I am really chuffed, and I will be able to enjoy my legitimate slice even more tomorrow :)

Okay, well that's about it. Sorry its a bit rambly and gabbled, but I just don't know where the days gone.

Hope everyone else is having a great day. Have a nice weekend all!!

Toodles peeps

heh when my corn snake escaped he snuggled up in a gap under his viv beside the heat mat and stayed there. I'd turned my room upside down at this point and spotted the gap and thought "nah surely not" but right enough. I lifted the viv then the tiles and saw a little face staring back at me with a "bugger! I've been rumbled" look on it.

Hope you have a fantastic weekend lass!:D

urghghghgh!

Escaping snakes is NOT my idea of a PET!

I need fur ;)

Mrs. B - 14 miles!! That is absolutely fantastic - that and along with *6* binge and sugar free days!! You are doing really well!

It's great knowing that Cannon can deal with the scales if we have any problems with them!

M2M usually they make a bee line for my mum and dads room hehehe my dad was deadly afraid of snakes before wegot our first ones. Just as well he overcame his fear before we discovered their apparent love for snuggling in beside mummy and daddys clothes!:D

YEA WOO RAAR!! Another 14 miles gone! And you've past the rubicon, go you! That's great, I love seeing your little snail move! I'll have to get my ass in gear and get that fish a-moving again.

Sounds like another fantastic day for the Bear! Hope you have another great one today, on this marvellous Saturday morning.

Well done for all your achievements :)

:) Lance Armstrong did kinda need the enhancing drugs.

Just realised, today is party time! Hope you've had a lovely time, again, regret nothing and enjoy it! And you don't need to put sad faces (that makes me a sad panda) you could put a  face, or a  face, or even a  is better than a sad face.

Have a lovely time!

Bronsk

Sorry i haven't posted for ages. Well done with the exercise you are doing great. Hope you are having a good weekend and enjoying the AMAZING weather! Keep up the great work!

Thanks to everyone for dropping by .... much appreciated ;)

Crunchie, I love this hot weather, Buster was out for over an hour sitting by the back door with the sun streaming in. Normally he gets cold after a while and goes to sleep, but today he was loving it, and didn't want to go back in his viv!!

M2M, Cannon and Laura, thanks for the encouragement guys, it is really motivating me to go out again tomorrow (Sunday .... no excuse!)

Bronsk, passed the Rubicon? .... 'ere .... wot?!?

Okay, so today I had porridge for breakfast (no fainting with astonishment please) then the rest of the morning/afternoon I had mini babybels and fruit. Then this pm I had 5 small drumsticks (skin removed!!!), some crisps, a spoonful of coleslaw and some tomato. Then dessert was a small slice of Black Forest Gateaux with a spoon of ice cream and some fruit salad. Now, when I got home I had some more fruit salad and another small slice of gateaux. It would have been better to have stayed at one slice, but I put so much into making it and it was really nice. Also, I am going for the long haul sugar-free-wise now, as I have no plans that will involve sugar for a few weeks at least, so I am going to go for the high score, as many days as I can do!!!!

I felt tired on delivery today, but I am hoping after a good nights sleep (I  as I look at the clock :D ) that I will be up for another bike ride tomorrow. Oh, also I will be delivering Phone Books next weekend, so that will be extra exercise ;)

Well, I am off to bed in a bit. I had to stay up quite late, as I wanted my second slice of cake to go down before I did. I feel a bit headachy now from the sugar and eating late ..... its strange how now that I am healthy most of the time, I really feel it when I make unwise choices. When I think what I used to put my body through ... I am staggered!!

Cheers again for dropping by, see you in the am.

Toodles muckers

Heya Mrs Bear :D

You are doing what's called the 80-20 diet on days like today. You are being super good 80% of the time and bad the remaining 20%. No worries, it's called a diet so you still lose weight on it. :p

Congrats on the miles and especially the porridge! Yummy! I love ready brek! It feels like a sin cream! mmmmmmmmmmm

Have a Fabulous weekend Darling!

Mwah mwah!

Sday~

Wotcha Mrs B!!

Sounds like you did have a fun party, and the second slice is worth it; gateaux looks pretty complicated. Again, so long as you enjoyed it, no regrets!

And it sounds like another great day for you miss! And no worries if you don't get the cycle in; don't know about you, but we're still get some pretty intense heat up here. It'll probably be just as warm tomorrow. Plus if you're delievering phone books  No need for weight training either!

The rubicon is from a card game called Peake (pronounced pee-KAY) which is a very posh, aristocratic version of Hearts. I say aristocratic because when you win, you get hundreds of points. You lose, you get nothing. When you get over a hundred points in a round (a party) that's "passing the rubicon" so because you've passed the hundred mark on your bike riding, you've done the same :) Daft reference, I'm sorry :D

Have a lovely day off tomorrow, Bon Dimanche

Hey Sday, I'm hoping to boost my weight loss and health now, by not having those bad days. The sugar really does make me feel crappy, so if I can do without it, so much the better. And I have a gluten free porridge made out of rice and millet. Its nice but about 10 times as expensive as porridge oats

Hey Bronsk, gateaux can be complicated, but I made this one up, so it was a sponge that I have made a lot, choc ganache (hot cream poured on choc), some whipped cream, a few tinned cherries, some cherry jam mixed with icing sugar for the icing ..... quite easy to throw together but it looks really impressive ;) I think I have heard the name Peake, but I never knew what it was .... and that was a good reference :D

It is warm this morning, but I still plan to go out on my bike. When I deliver my Betterwares in a bit, I will see how breezy it is. If its fairly windy then that cools me down sufficiently. ;)

Eh ..... 'ere ..... wot? ..... huh!?! :D

Right, porridge so far today, trying to drink lots of water because of the sugar and salt yesterday but I have run out of bottled water :p

See y'all later (ahhh, back to my Virginian days ....)

Toodles peeps

PS - Bronsk, talk about coincidence .... I decided to put a  on my sig as I knew you didn't like the :( , then I read your post .... great minds think alike ;)

That's great wee Buster can get out in the sun! I'm desperate to let my snakes out on the back green but mum put moss killer on the grass so I have to wait another few weeks until that goes away. Oscar the corn snakewill no doubt have a ball with loads of wonderful new things to nose at!

Well done on the 14miles by the way, I'm desperate to get out on my bike for a similar journey at some point. Maybe this week when I have a day off I can cycle along the canal.:D
