Mrs Bear's Diary

A gross in mileage!!! That's cute!!!!

I don't think the ice lollies should count against you!!!! It's a heatwave for goodness sake. I think you're doing brilliantly!!!

I know we're glad you have your computer back!!! Missed you.

Thanks Scarlett ..... you posted while I was you little minx ;)

Aw no, that's such an annoyance  I'm sorry about your hard drive, do you still have back-ups of pictures and stuff? Glad you'll be back on regular again :D

My buns went down a treat! Heehee, perfect student buns; just two ingredients, a microwave, a fridge and a few pennies required! No baking either, which means it's even simple too! Some of the Brownies came up and said they were the best thing at the party, which showed as there was only 6 out of 45 left!

Heehee, glad you got to spend more time on here, I'm sorry I missed you there. No matter, if you're back tomorrow, that's cool. Can't wait to see you proper again!

Have a great day, and have great several days if the Internet's not back on. *big huge hugs*

Bronsk

Hey MrsBear I see you're suffering in the heat wave too, it's bad even in Scotland where snow in June isn't exactly unbelievable. I remember when I was in Oxford at uni in my first year we had a big heat wave around Easter time and the guys that managed the halls hadn't put the heating off yet. This of course happened over a weekend when the accom offices were shut so we couldnt do anything. We all had about 4 showers a day and I remember us all going out to the garage at night for ice lollies (it was the only way we'd get to sleep). Hope it's not as bad as all that there, I must get a mini fan though!

Thanks for dropping by guys. We have finally got our computer back and running .... Yay!!!!

Crunchie, it was meant to be cooler today, but its still really hot!! To be honest, its getting a bit much for me. I think I will have a cool bath before bedtime tonight to help me sleep.

Bronsk, I bet your buns did go down a treat!! :D We did have some photos on CDs, but we didn't back up everything like we should have  That'll learn us!!! :D

Well, I've been a bit nervous about my cals as I wasn't able to go on Weightloss resources website. I put in yesterday's cals and it was under 1800 cals (great, considering my bike ride) and today has been 1650 cals, again I am really pleased. My nutritional balance is all out of whack, as I have been eating a certain amount of cheese (too hot to cook and I can't eat bread so the quickest snack is a piece of cheese ... slapped wrist  ) so my fat % has been quite high, but bottom line is my cals have been good. I had sugar again yesterday (more ice lollies) but today I have steered clear. I had a fruit smoothie, and it wasn't too acidic for me. I shall have to limit them to every other day though.

Right, well that's that done, before I forgot everything I had done :D

Toodles peeps

PS - I nearly forgot Crunchie .... your pet half pound is gone! Congrats ;)

welcome back... you and your encouragement been missed... but especially you :D

12 days binge free is outstanding... you should be so proud of yourself :)

Thanks Mal, that means a lot to me. It is really nice to feel this much like a part of a community. I feel the same about all you guys ;)

Hey Bear, good going today with the kcals today, no worries that the balance wasn't right. Tomorrow is, as the song goes, another day. Dude I love The Rescuers :D

Oo, shame about the lost stuff :( (and you know I never do sad faces) but as least some stuff's been saved, and you've always got vids and pics of Buster on SnapFish!

And 12 days binge free! It never ceases to amaze me how strong you are. I can't wait to see how many days you're able to go without sugar, and can't wait to see how you do tomorrow as well.

If I don't see/speak to you before then, good luck! And night-night, I guess (it being 11:30 )

Welcome Back, Mrs. Bear. I wondered where you were. The heat has been unbearable where I am this week too. It is cooling off a bit today so I am sending some cool air your way for tomorrow.

Keep up the good work!

Hey Mrs Bear, *I see yooooou :D* Hope you've done well with the weigh in today! *big hugs*

Have a brill day!

Hey Pineola, thanks for dropping by. It is still quite warm here ... I'm praying for rain

Oh, Bronsk .... I'm getting that stalked feeling again :D I just posted in FSD, so my results are there ;) Cheers for dropping by. I can't be on for long as I am on my break. Working 5am till 2:30pm today. Its my day in the office, but I went in early for overtime (that damned carrot!!). I will post fully later on.

Till then, toodles

I know you're working in the office, I'm hanging outside your window *insert heavy breathing* :D Mwahahahaha!

*ahem*

Well done again, missus! Sees you later on!

 That was you!!!!! :D

Well, I had a bit of a stressy day. It was really hot, and really busy in the office, and then hubby rang to say that the van with the phone books was delayed, so instead of him picking them up while I was working, I was going to have to pick them up on my own as he had to go on mail collection this afternoon when they were going to be ready :p I really wanted to go for a bike ride, and this kind of scuppered my plans. So I was feeling really p*ssed off, but still determined to do my bike ride. I rang the phone book guy, and they weren't getting them till late (yay) and I could pick them up tomorrow (yay!!!) when Rob was available to help (YAY!!!!!). So I went for my bike ride ... another 18 miles :D I was really pleased, and to be honest, the only reason I pushed myself to do 18, was so that when I do another 18 miles on Sunday (no work so much easier to accomplish) I will have done 'One Hundred and Eight-ee' (for the darts players out there :D )

Food, I had porridge for breakfast, cheese, ham and apple as snacks, lunch 1 and lunch 2 (tip I got from Bronsk there) was 125g rice, 125ml milk and 1 tsp honey for each of them, and dinner will be porridge again. Grand total for day is 1880 cals. I normally like to have 1700, but doing that bike ride has definitely earnt me a few extras (its 600-700 cals worth of exercise).

Okay, well I'm off to do a few weights now, then I will be chilling for the evening and back here for a cruise around.

Laters peeps

Hey there! Congrats on the 2 lbs! I am still in disbelief at how awesome you are doing with your cycling. I used to live close to a nice bike path... but now I have to go cycling while trying to avoid being hit by cars and that takes a lot of the fun out of it. Keep up the good work! You're defnitely an inspiration to me to get my butt on the bike!

Wow Bear, well done on a truly fantastic day! Another 18 miles, that snail needs some speed goggles (hmm, having a speed goggle obsession at the moment...) And great going on the two lunches ;) It does help to spread it out and fills you up a touch more.

That's great that you'll have help with the phone books tomorrow, it would have been so tough doing it all by yourself. They're big, big things those phone books, I'd class it as weight training :D

The extra calories is a very good idea after such a long bike ride. Glad you did, hun. Then with weights as well; you're just an exercise fiend!

May see you later, dude. If not, have a wonderful evening, and hopefully sees you tomorrow!

Bronsk

Thanks Val :) I am really lucky, the Moor roads that I cycle on are quite quiet most of the time, and often there isn't enough space for two cars, or even a car and a bike to pass, so the cars actually stop and let me through (most of the time .... ). You are right, it is a lot less enjoyable when you are dodging cars, and it isn't very peaceful.

Okay, weight training done, and dinner of porridge eaten, so that is the 1880 calories for the day. I ended up eating at 7:30 in the end, so I have had to stay up later than I really wanted to, but I needed to catch up with all the diaries, so I would have probably stayed up anyway.

Oh MrsB - look at how many days you've been binge free!! That is SO Cool!!

And your ticker snail is not moving at a snail's pace ;)
Good Job!

Eeek!!! Thanks for the encouragement M2M, but I am afraid I slipped up today  I went to Waitrose (you know what I'm talking about Bronsk ;) ) and I bought lots of nummy, healthy salad stuff, which I did have, but unfortunately, I bought some Twister Mini ice lollies (2 boxes for £3) and a bag of Jumbo Barbecue Snack-A-Jacks. If I had had a couple, it would have been okay, but I had 12 mini twisters  and the whole bag of Snack-a-jacks!! Cals for twisters was 650, Snack-a-jacks was 550 cals. So those snacks totalled 1200 on there own. Apart from that I had porridge for breaky, mini babybels and ham as snacks, wholegrain rice and milk for lunch, and salad with beans and sweetcorn for dinner. Total calories for the day were 2900!! Now, I know that seems to be a disaster, but on my calorie website, it says for moderately sedentary I can maintain at 2550 cals a day, and 2 hours of walking adds another 450 cals on to that (I was on delivery for nearly 4 hours today, but I only count half of this because it is somewhat start stop). So really, I had maintenance calories today. That isn't the main problem, the big thing is that I had sugar and I binged. Heck, I probably binged because I had the sugar!! So as of tomorrow, I am back off the sugar. I let things slide this week as it was hot and I was too lazy to make my own sugar free lollies :( , but now I have to give it a real go. Both counts are back to zero now, so I am going to start again tomorrow, and this time I am determined. Good news is that there is more than likely (unless someone goes sick) no overtime next week, so I can have a bit of rest, only work a 5 day week, and fingers crossed not end the week shattered and wanting to munch ;)

Phew!!!! Sorry to ramble on and on and on .......

Ah well, tomorrow is another day. One thing I will say is that if I have nothing else today, I shouldn't feel stuffed when I go to bed tonight, which is better than I have done in the past

Toodles peeps

PS - too much salt today as well .....tut tut tut ....

Oh well- we all give in once in a while :) But just think of how many days you went without binging- there is definitely improvement in your decision making skills.

You Are Making Great Progress And You Can And Will Do This!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
