Mrs Bear's Diary

You put you're exercise bench together yourself????? Now that is what I call a REAL WOMAN!!!! Good for you. And I bet you did something that men tend not to do....you read the directions. LOL!!!

It's going to be so nice to have that right there at home to use whenever you want. Can't wait to hear about your progress, you weight lifting mama, you!!!!

Hi mrs B! thanks alot, now I'll be cracking up the whole time I'm exercising with the hup 2..3..4 repeating in my head. :p I'm jk thanks for the encouragement I'm going to get off my butt right now and get things done around here so I can get on with my workout. :)

Its great to see you've been doing good. Just stay positive and keep up this healthy plan you got going for yourself.

Hey guys, thanks for dropping in and thanks for all you kind words.

Alicia, I am really hoping to go for a bike ride myself soon, but it has been raining since I finished work. :( However, it has cooled it down a lot, so once I have finished on here, as long as it isn't hammering down I am going to get on my bike, even if I only do my short ride.

Scarlett, you'd better believe I put it together myself :D I really enjoy it ... I put together all the IKEA furniture that we buy, which is basically everything except our sofa. You can't wait for hubby to get off the sofa :D or I'd still be sleeping on the floor ;)

Thanks for the hugs Bronsk, and the fanfare!! They are always welcome :)

Crunchie, thanks for the advice. I have never had very heavy, crampy periods, and everything was fine when I had my ultrasound 8 months ago, but I still think that I will see what happens next month. If nothing happens I will go and get checked out.

Food for today has been good.

Breakfast: porridge
Lunch: 1 salmon fillet, 125g micro rice
Snacks: 2 slices havarti cheese

Total cals so far 1015. And I don't even feel that hungry. I will probably have porridge and some stir fried veggies for my dinner, and I am hoping to stay between 1500 and 1700 cals today. I'm feeling really positive today, must be because my little 'friend' has left, and I'm feeling a lot more chilled

Toodles peeps!!!

I am very happy to hear that you are feeling better- Disappointment is never easy to deal with. You're doing great though!- I admire your motivation.

Hey Mrs B, you've had a really great day so far, well done! And to not feel hungry is a good sign as well. Your tea sounds healthy and tasty, suddenly cereal doesn't sound half as exciting :p Glad you're feeling better as well, hun.

Have you done any reps on your bench yet? How is it? And go you for building it yourself! I'm a lil' clumsy with a screwdriver.

*hugs*

Bronsk

Hey there Mrs Bear. It's good to know you are feeling better. Your food today has been really good! Well done on that! Hope the rest of your day goes well. You are doing great!

Thanks guys!!

Yes, I have done some reps on my new bench, but I think it will take me a while to get confident of the movements. But I did do some of my usual weight exercises plus .... 'weight' for it (teeheehee!!!) ..... I did 14 miles cycling. I am so pleased as it has been several days, plus it was raining. To be honest, after the last few days, the rain was lovely and refreshing.

I have had another slice of cheese, a raw carrot and some porridge. I am cooking it now, and it is far too late for me to be having a big plate of veg. See Bronsk, my dinner is only cereal aswell :p :D

Cals for today, 1500, which is excellent. I would have 2-300 more possibly, but it has ended up so late, I don't think its a good idea.

Toodles chaps and chapess's!!

It was really freaky actually Mal, because I was on the thread where everyone was saying about you becoming a member (congrats! ;) ) and I just glanced up at my count, and I was at 399!! I tell you what, I am a terrible gas bag :D This is my new obsession, replacing food with typing ;)

Hi, Mrs Bear! Just dropping by to say hello. You are my inspiration to keep exercising! You are doing so well. Hope your week is going great!

Hello Mrs Bear, well done for getting the 400 posts needed to become a member heh!

How long did it take you to do 14miles of cycling then? I love cycling myself (though my thighs don't), what I need is a little fishing rod that dangles a mango in front of my face (like yourself I have an appreciation of mango).:D

I believe that typing is a great exercise for the major muscle groups in the fingers. Also it burns approximately 729 calories an hour. Thereby achieving the ultimate finger fitness upon reaching member status.

Of course I made all that up, but it sounded good at the time.

Sounds like you had a good day, Mrs. Bear. Glad to hear it.

Hello everyone. Thanks to all of you for your kind, encouraging words. It really keeps me going ;)

Crunchie, it takes me about 1hr 10mins to do 14 miles, so I average about 12 mph. Also, my heart monitor showed that I had an average heart rate of 143 bpm which is 74% of my maximum heart rate!! It has a few slight ups and downs, but for the most part it is flat. Its just when I'm cycling into the wind that it gets to be very hard work.

I've just nipped home for my break before doing one and a half post deliveries (I can't say no to a bit of overtime ;) ). It is p*ssing down, really miserable ..... wish me luck! :( :D

Hey there Mrs B!

Well done on the cycling! I love it when I see the tickers go up... or down, as hopefully all weight based tickers will be :p Let's just say closer to their goals!

And well done for becoming a full member! Wow I'm impressed! For more finger fitness, look up a game called Typer Shark, where you have to type words really fast. It keeps track of your word count n' everything!

Your bench sounds cool! It will take a while to get used to it; I remember getting on the stridder for the first time... it wasn't screwed in properly and creaked too much!

I didn't see you yesterday, but well done for the calories missus! Hope today goes just as well. And hope the rain doesn't delay your post work too much. We've just had some inkling of thunder, but other than that it's so gammy and humid.

*hugs*

Wotcha Duckie!! It is so weird, the rain actually sped me up. When I deliver post, I go out in my car and then take a big bundle and walk around a road, normally doing somewhere between 20 and 50 houses at a time. So as you can imagine, rain is a pain (hee!) because the mail gets wet. So I was jogging around my first hour of delivery (which was in the posh area with hills and long driveways) with a sopping wet water proof jacket and trousers weighing me down. Then the rain stopped and I kept going at a good pace, because doing overtime means that people are getting their post late (I finished at 2pm today!) so I try to get around asap.

Anyway, that was a lot of waffle, but the point is I worked really hard today, which I feel justifies the 2100 calories I have had. We shall have to see what happens tomorrow (excited ... worried .... excited!)

So, food for today .....

Breakfast: porridge
Lunch: 125g w/grain rice, 1 salmon fillet
Snacks: 1 slice havarti cheese, 2 eggs with 40g goats cheese and a spot of oil, 50g humdinger exotic fruit crisps (they're fruit but their fried  )
Dinner: fruit smoothie (and I have started measuring everything that goes into it)

I am happy with what I have eaten, but my nutrition pie chart is all out of whack. The problem is that when I have salmon, the % fat goes up really high, but I like to have salmon every week because of the omega fish oils. We will see .... if I have lost this week then it was okay (especially after the weekend I had!!) but if I haven't then I am going to have to think again, and maybe stick a bit more rigidly to that pie chart!! ;)

Well, its about time I cut the waffle :D I'm going to have another look around, and then i must do some housework. I have never been one of those 'There aren't enough hours in the day' type of people, but now I have joined this forum, I just don't know where the time goes  They say time flies when you're having fun ;)

Toodles Peeps!!

I agree. Your job is a tough one especially when it pours rain. I'm sure you burned a lot of calories at work today
