ok my entry into the dumfack files today...

If you wake up & are cold & you hear the news saying its going to be cold....WEAR SOME FRICKIN CLOTHES. Break out the winter coats, boots whatever. But PLEASE do not wear your Ug boots for the first time in forever with a THIN knee length skirt & then complain about being sooooo cold. & if you do don't go look at the thermostat every 5 minutes.

Its 49 degrees here & since we have been in the high 70s / low 80s until today it does kinda feel like the arctic. But I checked the news last night & the weather channel this morning & they both said high of 64.... so that means I knew I was going to feel chilly.... what do I do... WORE APPROPRIATE CLOTHES....is it THAT hard?

ug... ok vent over.. WITH OUT hitting the candy bowl.

jog in place to warm you up - or think really naughty thoughts about yor cute marine :D
 
Oh its not me wearing it! I was smart & worn long pants & warm socks along with my long sleeved shirt & black warm fuzzy hoodie.

Its a moron coworker who won't quit whining about being cold. It was ok once, but every 10 minutes is getting old. She wants to crank up the heat to like 80. Um... no.

I always check the temp before getting my clothes out - I hate to freeze.

Ok I have to share this...

One of the girls I work with who has been an inspiration to me in getting more active just got engaged (mind you to a guy she has only known for about 4 months...wowzah she works fast!)... anyway they are both big into doing triathlons, marathons & just exercising their asses off. We used to call him the greek god & drool over him as he shopped if that tells you anything about him. She is certainly statuesque in stature herself. Anyway this weekend they went to the mountains to hike & bike & he bought her a heart monitor she had been wanting. (ug right) anyway she is trying to get it to work & getting frustrated & he says why don't you read the directions.... she opened them & they said "Will you marry me?" He had rigged it.

How frickin cute is that?

Course the ring is perfect.

but only the true athletes who have that love to exercise attitude would do such a thing. I want that... that feeling like its life rather than a chore. Ahh what a happy story... oh & that they are engaged & stuff too. But the whole feeling so in love with being in shape... now that is truly hard to find in life. :beating:

AWWWW all that mushyness I miss that :rotflmao:...Hey I noticed all that venting and no hitting the candy bowl way to go girl!! Also sounds like a cuite outfit regarless of the weather,I went as SALLY for halloween and the dress was paper thin I did the boot thing and trick or treated in the 40's and 50's no jacket for 3 hours I was freezing to I am 1 of the ones who didn't mpan and groan about the heat but love fall weather but I like fall as in high 70's low 50's we hit 33 degrees yesterday morning already :eek:.

My hubby's barber did something similar to propose to his fiance - he took her out to a chinese restaurant and had the proposal in the fortune cookie - he had delivered the cookies to the restaurant earlier in the day.
He figured out how to open the cookies by slightly cooking them in the microwave - then he resealed them.
His GF is a big fortune cookie collector (so I hear.) :) I thought that was sweet too.
 
ah the fortune cookie is a great idea... since you actually open it up before popping it in your mouth! my luck if anything was in food I would eat it & choke.

Just dawned on me I never responded to this... oops. That was kinda rude of me.

Ug boots are those sheepskin ones everyone was wearing last year, or was it a couple of years ago, anyway they are actually Ugg but I think Ug when I see them. Comfy as they are they can look kinda drab. Don't get me wrong I have a pair or two, well they are Fuggs (Fake Uggs). I couldnt pass on the purple pair.

 
how comfortable are they to wear? i mean arch support wise? Ive seen people wearing them and they shuffle along in them and rarely pick up their feet and walk normally -which makes me believe they are brutal on the arches...

but as long as you're not doing the teenage trend of wearing them with shorts -then it's all good :)

or with pajama bottoms tucked into them on the street :)
 
my fake ones are ok comfy wise... not big on support but I mainly wear 'em around the office or house.. not working out in em that's for sure. Just are all warm & snuggly on your feel.

Who knows what the real ones are like. I refuse to pay the price tag. But then again it rarely really gets cold here.
 
So today I wore a grim reaper costume to work complete with sycthe, mask, black cape, gloves the works. I walked out of the office onto the outside walk way to go downstairs & get some paperwork & this kid in the parking lot starts SHREIKING. oops a touch to scary for 10 am it seems for the under 5 sect. :reddevil:

Oh well.

Costume seems slightly appropriate today since I have already had to fire one slacker who decided to wait to come in 2 hours late today without calling in to let us know. It wasn't a first offense, but damn if I was going to put up with it. :banghead: I hate having to be the bad guy, but it stinks that some people think the rules don't apply. Its retail, you stock shelves.. you have to show up. Ug oh well.

Feels great to be blowing & popping bubbles in a death cape! I feel like Georgia Lass from Dead Like Me!
