MoonGoddess's Path

I had sushi the other day too. So so good!!! I've never had a sweetpotato roll before but it sounds very intriguing... I got the Philly and an Unagi. My bros were there too and got some rolls that have the tempura on them... So so good but being that they are fried and I'm sure not good for you I had to watch it, so I just tried one of each :) I love the squid and seaweed salads too. Very yummy that seaweed is imo...

Great job in getting those steps in. My friend who just had the gastric bypass surgery has been walking outside during all of her breaks and part of her lunch since she has been back to work. She's getting in like 3 miles of walking a day that way. I'm in awe and so proud of her!

Hi MJ, nope. I'm on the Atlantic coast not the pacific. In Wilmington, NC actually, destination for hurricanes & vacationing tourist that clogged up the roads all weekend!

I admit that I have not even counted calories the past two days. I have gotten a ton of steps on the pedometer, but ditched the calorie focus for a few. Too much going on with my family & Burgos's sister around. We ate pretty good. Even made my strawberry spinach salad. Yummy.

Holiday's over & I didn't gain anything (yet I know it can take a few days sometimes) & I am now back on track.

You are way over in NC! Wow I am in San Francisco area now, destination for earthquakes, tourists, and the homeless.

Good to see ya back on track.

Ooouuii, what's this strawberry spinach salad? Sounds good!!

I tell yah, the pedometer certain give you a way to aim higher, or a kick in the butt reality check when you think you are doing oh so good! Just have to try for a little more each day. Course every night I think, i could have done more.... like if I had paced instead of just standing while waiting or whatever.

& yeah I'm WAY on the other coast. I love it. The strawberry spinach salad is laid out in another post soon after the one you quoted. Its really simple.

I need to start using my pedometer. I broke off the clip to it, and I dont know if I put it in my pocket if it is still accurate. I hot glued on a safety pen, but it looks ghetto. LOL

Found the spinach salad recipe, see how I am? Walking around your diary with blinders on. I've never had a pine nut, sounds interesting. I'm going to have to try the recipe, sounds both sweet and sour, my favorite combo.

Sorry..

fell off the earth again. Course it has its pay back. I've gained a few.

Started a challenge at work to all wear pedometers & track our steps & miles together on a google doc. So far they are less than supportive, but still say they are going to do it.

Anyway my laptop has been on the fritz but I just sank a bit deeper in debt & sprang for a new one, so I should be back on more often. I just feel guilty when I am gaining instead of losing. Course.... I know why I gain, just got to get the calories burned up instead of the calories eaten up.

Thanks for checking in on me. I will try to be a bit better....in all aspects.

It is so great to hear from you again! I wish someone would make that challenge with me! I work at a bakery, and I work with a bunch of overweight women who are perfectly content with gaining more. This forum is my support. LOL. Welcome back.

So far I am... & with me usually getting in only around 5,000 steps... sad huh? I'm hoping that they will step up soon. I have offered to by a round for anyone logging in at least 5 times a week for the whole month! Lil beer bribe can't hurt.

My thoughts exactly, but they perked up when I said I would add some sort of incentive. Then beer came up & I said I would buy them all a beer at the end of the month if they made it through. We typically meet up on Fridays every once in a while to vent, catch up outside of work... & yes drink. Only I am the one who always gets the iced tea while they have a few. One benefit (sorta) of some medication I am on is that it doesn't mix so well with alcohol. They understand. So it works for me! :) Cheaper than paying a trainer, not the same expertise, but having 7 people who see me regularly encourage me is worth the cost of a round that I would have no problem buying my buddies anyway.

..so yeah, I will stick to water or a sweet tea & keep the calories lower than they will, making me the ultimate winner here! ha. ... hopefully more of a loser in weight terms anyway.

Hee hee hee - im happy to see you back and read your words! Yup it is just a little harmful incentive, nothing wrong with that.Hope it works for you.

I was reading last week that the average American gets in 2,000 to 2,500 steps a day. You've doubled that with 5,000. Go girl!!

I need to start wearing my step o meter again too. See what is going on during the day in that department.

I hope this week is great for you and you lose some weight!! Go Moon Go!!
