P.S. Thank you for spelling Alexander correctly...I have an Aleckzandyrr Symon in my class...horrid what people do to names.

I'm so sorry you can't have children. Can you adopt or have you thought about doing that? I can't stand people who don't know how to spell his name the right way. i'm like its not that hard.. lol

food diary for 7/25/07 and thoughts

Ok well today's food sucked. I spent most of the day cleaning the house from top to bottom so that it would be ready by the time my family from oregon came down. As I didn't want them to see my house a mess. Tomorrow's the funeral for my uncle and I won't be able to attend since alex is still coughing and won't sit still long enough to attend it. I am going to go to the gathering afterwards but that's only if alex isn't sleeping by then.

Ok food for today:

Breakfast: 4 oz peaches

no morning snack

Lunch: chicken/cheese quesadila(sp?) and 2 soft tacos with tons of lettuce
32 oz mug rootbeer

Dinner: 2 tacos and Raspberry dannon fit and light yougart.

snack: handful of cashews

48 oz of water, 1 cup of crystal light flavored water

exercise: 3+ hours of cleaning

hoping I do better tomorrow as I went shopping today and got some grapes, strawberries, carrots and salad and yougart and bananas yummy... :jump:

well its time to catch some  since its 12:40am and everyone here at the house is sleeping and will probably get up early.
Check in with you all tomorrow and Keep up the good work

Ugh glad today is over cause it was tough

Ok well first off things were pretty tough today so i am glad its over. I am really surprised I ate as good as I did with having to bury my uncle gene today. I wasn't able to attend the funeral services since my son wouldn't sit still long enough for the service but I did attend the family gathering afterwards.

so here's my food diary for today:

well i was able to do a lot better with my eating as I went grocery shopping yesterday.

breakfast: a bowl of cherrios with 1/2 cup whole milk and dannon fit and lite yougart

Lunch: 2 slices of pepperoni pizza

Dinner: 1 piece of chicken breast no skin baked. 1/4 cup rice and 1/4 cup macroni salad. 15 grapes and 5 baby carrots

snack: fit and lite yougart

bad part was only 12 oz water and 1, 12 oz can pespi and 1- 20 oz pepsi

exercise chasing my 3 year old around in the back yard of my uncle gene and aunt ruth. At the gathering after my uncle gene's funeral. Rip uncle gene i love you.

Oh yeah sorry if i didn't respond to anyone who posted in my diary and sorry i didn't post in any of the people diary's that i normally post in. Things were really stressful today and I hope they get back on track tomorrow. Goodnight and keep up the great work everyone.

Heather, I am sorry you had such a stressfull day. To bury a loved one is always a sad and shocking (to me anyway, even if they were old) event.
I know right now everything is crazy and your last thought is to take on more to do but are you still posting everything you eat on Fitday.com ?did you find it an awesome tool as I did for tracking calories? I only needed to do it for a while until I learned the approx. calorie content of food. If you still post would you mind inserting a link here like you did last time. That way we can all look at it and maybe make suggestions for you ?And I loved playing with the ideas : let's say I had 300 extra calories to spare, what food would give me more volume and satisfaction for that calorie amount?
Chasing around your son surely will burn energy!!

Well i slacked off for a few days on putting it all into fitday.com but I am going to start doing that again today. Things are still kinda crazy around the house. I am going to do some more exercise today then i did yesterday and try to eat better at least I am getting in some more fruits and veggies into my diet and still managing to stay so far under my cals its just hard getting used to eating breakfast again cause i am not used to eating breakfast cause i am not usually hungry.

We have considered adoption, but aren't ready to take that step yet.

Ok getting back on track here

Ok well my family that came down for the funeral left this morning at 5am. So things will be getting back on track here as far as exercise and being able to post to the forum regulary. I found a great site for free exercise workouts that use your own muscles and is great for toning up everything. I found it on my military support website that I post on. Here's the link to the workouts its has all different types and it uses hand weights a stability/exercise ball and a towel. in some of the exercises.

Food for the day so far:
No breakfast since I slept in after saying goodbye to my family this morning at 5am
Lunch: 1 grilled cheese w/slice of turkey in whole wheat bread. about 15-20 grapes and a banana. and 24 oz of water
Snack: baby carrots and 60 cal rice cake
dinner: tuna sandwich on ww bread and small salad with carrots, cabbage and tomato slices- no dressing

Water: 64oz or more not sure yet
Exercise: cleaning out garage and 2 mile walk and maybe some abs and weight lifting

Work it, Heather !! Take no prisoners !!

thanks randy. I sure hope this works. I wanna look hot when my husband sees me the next time which will be in just over 8 months now. so i gotta get my butt working out hard. so thanks for the encouragement i could really use it.

Your husband is going to be excited enough just to see you and Alex again, add in looking even hotter on top of it and he won't know what hit him!

Keep it up!

Hi Heather, just checking in!! I am glad things are quieting down for you !!
Thanks for the link on Self.com I went and checked it out. Looks like I am going to quit my gym and do it home so this was a great tool for me.
Hope you are having a good day.

wooohoo weigh in day

Woohooo... well today is a good day so far. I had my 2nd official weigh in since starting on this journey of getting in shape and losing weight. It feels great even though i slacked off a little last week due to all the stress of everything that was going on. Anyways I now weigh 253.2 so that is good. That means I lost 4.2 lbs this week even with the fact that my exercise and everything wasn't up to what i did that first week.

Today starts a new week for me and gotta make sure I kick it up in high gear this week. No slacking off on exercising or watching what i eat. So that's my small update so far.

Breakfast: bowl of cherrios with sliced strawberries and half cup whole milk
snack: dannon light and fit 60 cal yougart
Lunch: grilled cheese w/slice turkey on whole wheat bread
snack: baby carrots w/ tablespoon of ranch dressing
Dinner: not sure yet

exercise: 1 hour playing ddr, 100 crunches, arm exercises and maybe some leg exercises and gotta finish cleaning up the garage.

Congrats Heather !! you're doing fine. Stay strong and keep your long term thinking within sight.

Thanks again randy. Having your support means a lot to me. I have my long term goal in sight and am trying to keep in it my mind at all times. Especially when my workouts start burning and i feel like quiting. I remember why i am doing this. not just for my son or hubby but for my health in the long run.

Thanks hajni
