The evil 206

has been vanquished!
Lol, that made me

You noticed my feelings about that number then, huh? ^_~ Yes, and I'd better never see it again!
Mrs Shadow and Sunshyne - Thank you both so much! Another week or two and I'll be under 200. So excited!
So, I was a little bad this weekend. What else is new, huh? I had intended to try harder this time, but life got in the way. Saturday wound up being kind of nuts. I woke up full of energy and wanted to get all the cleaning and laundry done as soon as possible. So, I started a load of dishes in the dish washer and sorted laundry. At 9 (when the banks open) I ran to the bank to get quarters for laundry, then to a gas station to get a book of stamps. Came home, started two loads of laundry (laundry rooms have two washers and two dryers), emptied the dish washer and filled it again. Decided to make cornbread so I got that mixed up and in the oven. The hubby got up when the cornbread was done

and we all had that for breakfast. Moved the laundry from the washers to the dryers and put two more loads in the washers. Now it's about 10:30 and the phone rings. It's my in-laws and they say they are "heading our way" and want to take us out to lunch.
Uh-oh... That house is still a mess! And none of us are really cleaned up yet. I had just thrown on some grubby clothes because I figured I'd clean up after the housework was done. So, hubby and I do that "Oh crap!" cleaning where you are red faced and sweating by time you are done. Had to have burned some calories there! Barely had time to get the house presentable and all of us cleaned up and dressed when they got there at 11:30. We had to wait until the laundry came out of the machines, but in the mean time, my daughter told the in-laws that she wanted to go to the "Pig Restaurant" (Famous Dave's). Damn! I LOVE that place, but it's oh-so-bad for me! I hopped online to find the healthiest option and we did have a really good time there. Went with the in-laws to a few stores (the real reason they came to our town).
My mother in law noticed that I've lost weight!

She didn't even ask if I had, it was more of a statement. I was so proud to tell her that, yes, I've lost 16 pounds!
When we got home, I continued the laundry and put away what had gotten cleaned that morning. Cleaned the stuff that we just hid before the in-laws got there. Paid bills. Hubby made tomato soup and grilled cheese for dinner. Well, it could be worse. He did make sure to put much less cheese on my sandwich and use my low-cal bread. By now it's 6:30 and the first time all day that I've had to sit down and relax! I did go over my calorie limit by about 115, but considering that I ran all day when I'm usually sitting at a desk, it's probably not that bad. After dinner we went grocery shopping for the next two weeks. Dang! Eating healthier is way more expensive! Processed food may be horrible for you, but it's cheaper. lol
Sunday we drove to a larger town an hour away partially to get out of the house. We ate Subway for lunch and I did really well with that. Got a six inch (I used to always get a foot) turkey with just a little bit of light mayo and lettuce, pickles and black olives. Oh, and water to drink, of course. That part was fine, as far as fast food goes. But I did much worse for dinner. We were part way home and my daughter was hungry so we pull in this little suburb-ish area. There's a Subway and a McDonalds... great. The hubby said that he'd be perfectly fine with going to Subway again, but I know he really didn't want to and my daughter is chanting "McDonalds! McDonalds!" in the back seat (we really almost never go there, even before I was losing weight). So, yeah, McDonalds for dinner. But I only got a sandwich, no fries, and water to drink.
Still though, I only went about 30 calories over my limit yesterday. That's not too bad. Sodium was... really bad. lol Lots and lots of water today!
Oh, we went to this outdoor sporting goods place that we like. Daughter decided she wanted to go up the stairs instead of taking the escalator. It's about two flights of stairs. So, we march up the stairs (pretty quickly) and daughter and hubby are huffing and puffing at the top and I'm barely winded!

Two months ago that would have killed me! I was so glad to get a little proof that I'm getting stronger.
Oh, and I got a new exercise mat there. My old one was too squishy, I felt like I was grinding my tailbone right into the floor when I did crunches. This one is a much firmer foam.
Exercise this morning was typical. Which is to say, I didn't want to do it.

Was really tempted to quit half way through, but I didn't. Telling myself that I had to work off the Famous Daves and McDonalds didn't help either. lol Oh well.
OH! I was proud of myself last night though. I went to Target to get Easter stuff for our daughter and I resisted the Cadbury Mini Eggs yet again! They even had little "snack bags" of them that I could have gotten and not had a whole big bag. Those are my absolute, favorite-ist candy in the whole, big, wide world and they will be gone for another year in just a week! And I haven't had a single one this year and yet I still didn't buy them! Tell me again why I started this a few months before Easter? That's been the hardest part of all this, I swear.
Oy, sorry for the novel! I should post more on the weekends so I don't have such a long update Monday morning. Thanks for reading, if you aren't asleep yet.
