Thanks. Tina, I could use a little kick. Anyone else who likes is invited to kick me too. I sorta blew it yesterday, and I tried to un-blow it today, and then blew it (slightly less). OK, so yesterday I was planning to meet my oldest & dearest friend for lunch. Just before I leave, my boss's wife brings lunch in (a huge plate of mexican food) and says, "I brought you lunch", I say "wow, thanks, I'm meeting a friend for lunch but that was really nice of you" and she says, well I bought it for you, so why don't you take it anyway & just eat it later". So I do, and then call my friend as I'm leaving and she says, "let's have Del Taco". I don't want Del Taco, it goes against everything I've been trying to do, but I go anyway, with her, her husband, and my boyfriend. The BF and I decide neither of us really wants Del Taco, so we eat a half of two tacos each (one fish, one bean, neither too bad) and plan to go somewhere else for more food afterward (I'm still wanting a salad at this point). Then, I ask the BF where he wants to go, and he says, "there's a new mexican place that just opened, let's go there". So we do, and I ate a bunch of chips, guacamole and a whole deep fried fish taco. But wait, it gets worse. We finally get home and I ate a bunch of cookies, some chocolate, and the chile relleno that my boss's wife gave me. It was good, but it's a deep fried cheese stuffed chile, covered in cheese! How healthy is that? NOT AT ALL! So, then I feel bad, I'm exhausted, and I don't want to work out. Talk about adding insult to injury. But I make a deal with myself. I'll just do the Tae Bo basic 20 min. workout and then I'll work out again in the morning before breakfast. At least I made it through that.

So I woke up this morning, and I did work out before breakfast. For 50 minutes & it was a good workout. then I had my high fiber, low sugar cereal, a peach, flax seeds and a cup of skim milk for breakfast. Good, huh? THEN, before lunch time even comes, another friend shows up at work with lunch. Yummy veg & cheese sandwiches and some sort of probably very fattening pasta salad. I ate it. YUM. I guessed about 400 cal in the sandwich, probably not more than an ounce of cheese, maybe 1/6 of an avocado (if that) a tiny bit of herbed cream cheese, lettuce, onions and two slices of whole wheat bread. I guessed 250 cal in the pasta salad. It didn't seem like a whole serving of pasta, but I bet there was mayo or some oil in it, it was too good and a little slippery. Do you think I underestimated on the pasta salad? It seemed like whole wheat pasta too.

So if my calorie estimates are correct for today (yesterday was a bomb, I didn't count a thing) then I think I have about 500 cal left for the day. I can probably survive, but I'll have to be creative. I'll also have to exercise again today, because, guess what? Tomorrow I'm going to a 2 year old's birthday party complete with cheese & crackers and cake (and fruits & veggies). I love cheese. It's my favorite food on the planet. I have not once EVER been able to say no to cheese. I hope I don't gain weight operating like this! My only hope is to exercise so much that my body doesn't hold any of that as fat. At least it's the weekend, and I may just be able to get in that 2 hours a day of exercise to offset my poor eating.

Yeah, that didn't sound like a good day. But you can recover. I'm sure we've all had our bad days (I've had a bad week actually :p) but we can all bounce back! I'm sure you'll make it at the B-day party, just have a little cheese and mostly fruit and vegetables. And drink lots of water before you leave :p

Well, so it was a bust. So? So ya enjoyed those foods. The good news is that right now you DO care! And sometimes a big ol cheat like that can make us even more determined and on track. Chances are slim that you are gonna gain back five pounds or some such silly number, right? You probably just maintained your weight for a few days with that cheat.

Dont you look back. Look forward. Its really all ya CAN do!:D I dont know a soul who hasnt indulged a little throughout a strict diet. Good for you for putting it here as a reminder to yourself that its done, its over, and now its simply time to move on! Youre doing fine! I promise!
 
Hey hun! Monday is almost here.. You can have a fresh start this week! Just keep in mind your goal! Imagine what you want to look like after you lose this weight! Now everytime you want to eat something your not sapossed to.. think to yourself... " what would the girls at wlf say about this!?" lol.. I'll be keeping an eye on you!

Geez, you're killin' me! No, I've probably only had 40 oz of water today if I'm lucky, but I'm trying! Thank you so much for keeping on me about it Jelly. I'd probably shrivel up (except the fatty layer) if I didn't have you kicking me about the water. You're totally right, and I'm going to give it right back. I'll be checking your journal for water entries too... (better go edit missy).

Anyway, the weekend was BAD, and I'm trying to do damage control today. I think I just ate too much salt, I'm totally bloated and I don't think I ate way too much yesterday either (a little too much, maybe), AND I worked out twice yesterday just in case. I certainly didn't eat too much today, I'm at about 1150 cal and I've called it quits today just to keep yesterday's cheese-laden dips (plural) in check.

I may have to wait until Tuesday to report my weight. I'm going to see if I can bend my fingers in the morning first (If you've never retained that much water before, you're lucky).

Hey girls, thanks! I'm crazy busy today and tomorrow, I'm checking in whenever I can here! I did weigh myself this morning just to see if I should be depressed or not, and I didn't gain any weight after my baaaaaaad weekend, but I'm not thinking I lost any either. I'll let you know where I stand tomorrow. I need some more water today, but I have had 64 oz of mixed green tea, herbal peppermint and a TON of ice. That makes it sorta watery, right? OK, I'm trying. I'll try to get to the water challenge page when it settles down a little here.
 
Hi all, I've been eating pretty well, drinking some combination of water & tea (no soda, & nothing with calories or sweeteners) in quantities exceeding 64oz a day. I've been having a tad of trouble squeezing in the exercise, I just keep running out of time, and I really can't do it in the morning, I'm just not a 5AM person (unless you want to meet the b*tchiest me on earth - and all day too, not just first thing in the morning. I don't do well without my solid 8 hours of sleep). So I'm trying to do what I can. We'll see how that goes. I'll report my weight tomorrow, this morning it looked like 208, but I never believe that at first, we'll wait for confirmation tomorrow. I've got to get home, make dinner, and exercise tonight, and I'm not quite done w/ all the rest of the crap yet, so I better sign off. Have a good night!
