Miss Ladybugs Diary

That sucks about your Son...

Been there, done that, watched the car drive away... It's hard to know what to say to them. My teenage boys do not want Fatherly advice about girls. Unless I can tell them a story about me at their age, acting like an idiot around girls and looking like a chump, but having some moral that they can relate to.

Fortunately, stories of me acting like an idiot and getting dumped are plentiful. :)

There are plenty of other fish in the sea... He'll be fine!

Margaret: I have NO DOUBT if you find one of those old skirts, you'll be wearing that thing in less than a year, YOUR weight loss has been huge, and it just keeps going down each week for you, you should really try finding one in the back of your closet, it really does inspire when you can see it hanging there every day and when you try it on each week to see your progress. GOOD LUCK!!

VBF: I have no doubt you broke some hearts in high school, those guys were probably drooling at your doorstep each day. I'm happy to see you've grown and your still leaving them drooling at your doorstep. LOL LOL you know those guys are drooling over you, so don't deny!!!! LOL Hugs XOXOX

Twin: I know you would be here in a heart beat if you had the money, I think several of us would be out the door in a nano minute if we could. AHHHHH, maybe someday, I won't give up hope that some rich business guy comes to you wanted to find a multi million dollar home to purchase and you make a HUGE commission from the sale. I can't WAIT!! I feel it! HUGS TO YOU! and Lezzy kisses, since I missed out yesterday. DARN IT!!!

Hi David: Okay first off I have to say I knew I liked you from the start as 1) you share the same name as my H, and 2) you have just a great sense of humor and I love that about a guy. :hurray:
I know he'll break through this mess, I just hope she's not using the current REBOUND guy for a few weeks to get to my son, then come crawling back after awhile begging him to give it another try, I can't stand when that happens. OOOOHHH he's such a kind hearted kid, he would probably crush under the pressure and take her back, boy I hope not, but I guess we will just wait and see. I'm so happy that he came to me and talk to me about this whole issue, I was amazed, happy and teary all at the same time. We are very close, and last year, it wasn't like that at all.

Yesterday was a very nice mellow day, and the evening was so much fun!! I was going to take my son to the hockey game with me, but by the time work was over he has been invited out to a band concert, I guess 4 local bands were jamming out by the library and it was open to the public, I think the cover charge was like 5.00 bucks, he wanted to go since about 5 of his buddies were all going. I agreed, and he went to that while I went to the hockey game. It was great!! They WON 7-3, we played the Texas icebats, it was so much fun, they did have little booths set up all around the arena for kids to trick or treat and they had so much fun. This arena is HUGE and brand new it's called the FORD CENTER, we have all huge events there, like concerts, WWF wrestling when they come to town, and of course the Hornets played there while Louisiana was being repaired and cleaned up. I'll see if I can attach a pic below of this stadium it's so cool. I'm off work tomorrow and I have soooooo much to do, so I won't be on WLF for about 3 days. Still no luck finding anyone for Ladies Night, so we will just have to see what I end up doing. Tonight I'm going to the gym and working out HARD, since I missed two days of working out this week. UGGGG I hate when that happens. Tonight, I'm going to get all my cleaning done at home so I don't have to worry about that at all this weekend, I might stop by the liquor store and pick up a few good bottles of wine, I"m going to try some new stuff, Val has been venturing out instead of sticking to my normal Merlot's. THANKS VAL!! I have a new found love for Pinot Grigot and Nior now, I'm still working on my taste for Chardonnay, maybe that will come in the near future. Well, I better get going I have so much work to get done and I don't want to leave anything not finished. I know for sure I'm just a few days away from my visit from Aunt Flo, so I'm not going to worry about being bloated this week. Today is a coworkers 50th birthday and I stopped by the bakery on my way into work and purchased a Brownie/Ice Cream cake for the office, I hope he shows up today, I haven't seen him yet and well he usually comes in about 30 minutes to 1 hour after me, and well it's almost lunch time and he's not here, OH BOY, I guess we can keep the cake in the freezer until Monday, but crap who wants to do that???? I have no doubt we will bust it open even if he doesn't come in, as I have two other co-workers, (MY favorite two brokers) who will beg me to cut the cake. LOL LOL I'll cave just for them of course. I'll only have a sliver I PROMISE!! Well gotta go, Lots of love to you all today!!! CHOW EVERYONE!!

Cool stadium! Sorry you don't have any sidekicks to take to Ladies Night. You're in OK City right? I'm in Little Rock. Not too far apart.

I hope your son starts feeling better. Being a teenager is rough. Have a great weekend!

Thanks Amy!! Yeah, It's funny I have about 10 REALLY close girlfriends, we do everything together, but we are all very busy "family" wise, that sometimes it's super hard to schedule things. This would be one of those things, SHUCKS!! maybe the next one will work out better. Most of us work Monday-Friday, then our weekends are crammed with family stuff. But I'm sure you know how that is. My sis, would normally be my back up as we are like best friends, but shoot, she has a Pampered Chef show on that day and her son has a football game, like I said, ALWAYS something going on around here. Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate that!! I loved your family photo by the way, you have a great looking bunch!!

Maybe somebody will be able to go at the last minute. I completely understand how busy having a family is. I too have a few girlfriends that I do everything with but it's so hard to since we all have babies and work. We all have to move around alot because our husbands all work together. They are all in the USAF, that's how we all became friends. We try to plan at least one "Bloody Mary Sunday" a month to unwind a bit. We are all going out for a Margharita night next week. I can't wait!!

Thanks for the compliment! We are a very happy bunch. I also have a stepson who turns 7 today. I call him "my son". I don't like the sound of "step". He's in OH and we go visit once a month to see him and get him during part of the holidays and most of the summer. I wish he was in the pic. :(

Hi ya doll.

Sorry I didn't get to check in yesterday. The forum would not load for me all day!

:pumpkin: Hope you had a Great Halloween! :pumpkin:

We had 3 Trick or Treaters and that was it...lol

I'll be headin' out for Super*Target in just a bit..
Can't wait to get it over with! :ack2:

I'm so excited to start the Holiday Challenge, I think it's gonna help me out a lot. :hurray:

:beating: I'll Miss Ya Sneeker-Poo! Have A Great Day/Weekend! :hug2:

I"m going to try some new stuff, Val has been venturing out instead of sticking to my normal Merlot's. THANKS VAL!! I have a new found love for Pinot Grigot and Nior now,

Pinot Noirs from: Santa Lucia Highlands, Carneros, Santa Cruz Mountains, and Sonoma County are a best bet. Only problem is they are often $45 a pop :( If you see Morgan Winery, get their 2006 Pinot Noir 12 Clones--it's cheaper and delicious.

Thanks for the compliments! Have a great night!!!! I bet you can make NEW friends at Ladies' Night! :D

Hi Amy, My sis is in the AF - well she was - but was done in April. Her dh is still in the AF and is currently in Kuwait. She's got the same kind of friends as you do - all of them are young, married, and have a baby or toddler. :)

Hi Kim

I hope that your weekend goes well. Your life is a vast social whirl.

You are too generous buying cake for your co-workers - I am sure that you wouldnt be tempted into having too big a piece.

Take care
Love
Margaret

Happy Monday Everyone!!

I don't have a lot of time to update, as I need to catch up from my day out Friday. I had a GREAT 3 days off!! One of my sons and I spent the entire Friday hanging out, we went shopping and had lunch together, and then I took him by a few places he needed to pick up a few things, it was a GREAT TIME!!

Saturday I didn't end up at the Ladies Night Out, because at the last minute they had to cancel it, can you believe that??? Well, they are rescheduling it for March, which is fine with me, because I already have a few friends that can go during that month. YEAH!!! I took my sons car to the shop or new tires instead, so it was still a good day!! OH and the Weather this weekend in OKC GORGEOUS!! I mean just beautiful, it was sunny and in the 70's light breeze each day, AHHHH me and H sat out on the deck and enjoyed it for some time.

On the weight loss front, I'm back in the saddle again, and ready to blow it out this week!! OH YEAH!! I still haven't received that visit from Aunt Flo, but something tells me it will be later today, you know how us women know that. LOL LOL That's okay, even if she shows up, I'm still doing my hour long Body Jam class, I DON'T CARE!!! I also plan on doing circuit today. I should be working out about 2 hours total. Today, it will be a good eating day also, low calorie, but good for me!! YEAH

Breakfast: 1 Cup Mini Wheats, 1C 1% milk: 300 calories
2 C coffee, 2tbsp fat free cream

Lunch: PB&J: Calories 400

snack: 1 Packet of Chex mix

WATER, WATER, WATER!!

Tonight I'm making a big thing of tuna and having that during lunch for the rest of the week, mmmm I can't wait, it's been awhile. Well, I better get going, I have so much to get done. Thanks VBF for stopping in and dusting for me, MUCH APPRECIATED!!
Lots of love!
Kim

Hey ML! So glad you had a great weekend and hitting the week in full force. I too am extra motivated today. I've had to take a few weeks off due to illness and am now back to my fitness plan.

Have a great day. I hope Aunt Flo isn't too much of a bitch this month!

I am recovering from a hiatal hernis. Hurt like a MF for 2 weeks and the doc made me stop running and avoind overexertion for awhile. I'm back now and trying to get into my running. Taking 3 weeks off for that long really hurts my stamina level. I am training for a half marathon in March so I need all the training I can get in!

What challenge have you entered?

That Holiday Challenge, the one that Kimberly started. Are you not entered in yet?? If not, you should, it would be awesome having your support!

Hey, you said you run, how often do you train, everyday?? How long do you go?? When did you start running? I know a lot of questions, but I'm seriously thinking about doing some running myself, my mind says go for it, but my body is still thinking about it, I'm rather top heavy and well running is always hard on my upper body. Sports bras don't quite do the trick, but heck, I'm sure I'm not the only person dealing with this issue.

I'll go check it out and join!

I have been running for 8 years. Before my pregnancy I was 130lbs and extremely fit. I used to run races every month but the pregnancy tunred out to be a difficult one and I kept gaining tons of weight even though I hardly kept anything down. Needless to say, i get extremely out of shape. Getting back into it has been a tough task. I train 4-6 days out of the week depending on when my husband has to fly and when I weight train. I run 3-5 miles each time and am slowly building my distance back up.

When i got back to running after the pregnancy I couldn't run more than 25 seconds without wheezing like a fat kid (I used to be one!). The way you start is to go for a brisk walk and use landmarks or a stopwatch to time how far/long you can jog before having to start walking again. Be patient and you will find that you will gradually be running further and longer. I kept a log of my progress. A mile run doesn't even make me tired or winded now, but it made me feel like I was having a heart attack a year ago.

Hey Twin! Glad you had a good weekend even though the ladies night got cancelled. How is your son doing with the break up? Is he feeling better?

We had great weather here, too. Although it wasn't anywhere near the 70s..lol. More like 55 if we were lucky. :D

Way to kick ass tonight at the gym! You go girl!!

First off, thanks AMY for the link, I'll go check that out, anything I can get info on I LOVE! I'll try and start small, I think maybe 1 mile and work my way up, we will see how that works out for me, I'll give anything a try at least ONCE. Thanks again!!

Hey there Sexy Twin!! I had a great weekend, and thanks for asking about my son, he's doing much, much better right now. But as we all know, everyday is a new day. LOL LOL It's easier on the weekends, because he doesn't run into her, but they see each other in town during the week, or at certain events, that's the hard part. But, he really seemed up in spirits over this weekend, so I'm happy for him, I'm keeping a close eye, as I don't want him to get flustered or feel like he doesn't have anyone to talk to about it.

Despite your NFL team OWNING my Bronco's it was a pretty darn good weekend. LOL I think the Broncs just need to call it a season and start over next year. LOL but HEY, I've seen come backs happen, so I guess it's possible, it a HUGE STRETCH of the imagination. LOL LOL

I'm so looking forward to working out tonight, you know I love my Body Jam class and since it's only Monday and Wed now, I hate missing those days. I will say it was easier getting up this morning with light coming through the window, that I LIKE!! It's pretty out today too.
