2.6 lbs down this week! (11 lbs down so far) :party: I made some homemade pesto pasta with my own sauce, it turned out heavenly. I probably ate a bit too much of that today. I also had German chocolate cake - delicious! Let's hope I didn't undo all that progress today! It seems like on my 'treat' days I'm also more active because I'm out doing things. After the party, I went swimming and did laps in the pool for awhile; I was absolutely beat afterwards! Now I'm settling in with some wine, and will play some video games with the hubby since the kids have finally gone to bed. I hope everyone has had an amazing day. ?
 
Yesterday I was out of the house a lot, but still managed to eat what I normally eat. My calories came to 1,381 and I had guacamole on top of my baked chicken - delicious! I am going to implement guacamole more often. There are these 100 calorie packs that I bought, I love pre-measured stuff.

Protein shake - 1 scoop (chocolate)
Oven roasted bell peppers, zucchini, mushrooms, onion
One large egg with wheat toast
Slice of cheese

Lunch
1 serving blueberries and cream oatmeal
Slice of wheat toast with 1 tablespoon chocolate PB fit

Dinner
Oven baked chicken breast - 6.2 oz
Baked Potatoes 162 grams
roasted carrot & bean vegetable blend

Snacks
1 low fat Mozzarella stick
1 serving kettle corn healthy pop
1 Claussen pickle spear
1 Dannon greek yogurt - coconut creme mousse
raw carrots - 99 grams

Drinks
2 cups of coffee with Stevia and cream
1 Orange sunrise water

1 cherry water

I'm not sure if I'm not hitting my calories because now I'm actually measuring out my chicken and potatoes. I might have been over-estimating them before. I want to be able and eat as many calories as possible and still lose weight, if that makes sense. It gets tough to eat a bunch of quality foods, though. It's so much food!! Tonight I'm absolutely exhausted. I'm going to settle into bed with my book and promptly pass out after reading two paragraphs. Xoxox ?

 
Weird, isn't it, how healthy calories are "so much food!" while unhealthy ones are "that's all I can have?" The difference in calorie density is enormous.

Exactly! I wish it were the other way around. It's so hard eating 'just one' of anything that tastes good. For me at least.
 
You do get used to it. Eating healthy to me is eating delicious food. It will get easier as you go MF xo

Walked for a couple miles today - steady pace. Will try to incorporate more activity in since it's now July. I'm absolutely exhausted and must sleep. Goodnight everyone. ?

Last night stayed around 1,300 calories with my usual meals, was extremely tired and went to bed earlyish. Today I feel terrible and messed up with what I ate. My mom brought over some homemade chicken alfredo for the kids yesterday and I had a big bowl of that, plus a huge bowl of sweet maple something cereal. I feel like I could be getting the flu, cold chills and just general achyness all over, so I thought maybe having a bit of comfort food would help - it really didn't, I still feel ill and now I feel worse because I ate all that terrible food. I am going to stick with fluids the rest of the day and rest as much as possible. I really, really don't want to be sick - we had some fun festivities planned for tomorrow's holiday, the 4th of July here in the US. Tomorrow I'll still weigh in in the morning, but probably won't be much of a loss this week. I'll keep on truckin' anyways!
 
Get well soon honey. Speaking of honey......do you have some lemons & honey. Have a hot lemon drink before you go to bed & a couple of paracetamol if you are aching. I have a hot lemon drink every night, even through Summer & haven't had a cold for years (touch wood). Take care xo
 
Thanks, Cate! I actually did have honey lemon tea and it seemed to help a little. My fever ended up going up to 101.2, but broke later on during the night. My weigh in was a total of 2.8 lbs lost this week, but I'm not going to celebrate just yet in case most of the loss was because of sickness. Feeling a bit better today, but will stay in for all the festivities as I still feel like I can't get warm in over 90 degree weather! (about 32 degrees C).
