It's such a nice day out today I am going to see about booking off early from work as well to get on my bike... this would be the perfect time to get that 45 k in for the week :)

We'll just have to see how well I can suck up to the boss in order to make it happen. lol

My boss booked off sick in the afternoon which leaves me next in line for authority. It took a great deal of deliberation but I eventually gave myself permission to take off early ;)

I'll find something in the fridge sometime tonight to help get those calories up. It felt awesome getting back on the bike... now I'm exhausted lol

OK - so you gave yourself permission to take the day off, but did you get your ride in???

Well yesterday I didn't get to ride due to rain... funny how it didn't stop me from golfing though ;)

golfing in the rain is safer than biking in the rain. You can't get hit by a pulp truck on a golf course.

other thoughts

Thanksgiving is coming up soon (in Canada eh), how am I supposed to behave when I'm invited to two diners? My own family's as well as another family?

awesome goals.

Someday we'll meet up at Ironman Canada. Its a great event I hear. I am definitely not up for the 3 mile swim, 115 mile bike and 26.2 mile run...for the next couple of years.

It's all a matter of portion control ;) Pick what you love and leave what you can eat any other time of the year! You'll do fine!

and don't eat just to make the momma's happy :D mommas will get over it :D

lol, you don't know my momma! I love her to death, but scared sh$#less of her when I get her angry lol

Pequin, lol... thanks for rocking out at my journal!

star, thanks a lot...

So yeah, I have 12 pounds to go. Crazy thing is it seems like forever since I've had 12 pounds to go. My weight has stayed the same for a few weeks now. The last week however I am pretty sure I have muscle gain to blame... which we all know is never a bad thing...

Knowing that I could be one hundred and eighty something does seem surreal to me though... for me it's a bigger number than being out of the 200's. Why? Well because the last time I was one hundred and eighty something I was in my first year of college.... holy crap, ten years ago.

My housemates are a great source of inspiration though as they witnessed first hand how much I've changed.... not only when I was 150 plus, but even before I joined this forum. Getting and giving advice, and boosts of encouragement from everyone in the forum has been key. For all of you who've commented in my journal, if I didn't say it then, I'll say it now.... thank you!
