Hope your having a good one!!
I am getting some house work done so YAY for me!! lol

Hi beautiful Mish;

Hope you had a great day. I'm watching English best bands in the last 20 years o MuchMusic and I wanna look like Annie Lennox, what a crazy-great looking broad. I saw her 3 years ago and she's still thin and has a ton of energy. She's my hero.

Aw, I would love to walk with you in Denver. Maybe one day... I don't know how the rumor started about me dying him. LOL

Take it easy on that heel spur, oh Mishi. Especially as your body changes with baby. Maybe you could do low impact like elliptical trainer or a bicycle now?

When I come to visit you in Denver I'll look like Annie and you'll look like Gwen !

Hi Hunny Bunny!!!
I just wanted to drop by and give you oodles of ?! :)
I haven't had time to read much yet... Till then...
xo

Zombie Day

So I love horror movies and some of my favorite are zombie movies. They are so fun! I am reading a Resident Evil book right now (I know... so grownup ;) ) and the images are just cool. So of course I started thinking about what I would do and what my family would do in the event of a zombie attack. Sadly I think we would be snuffed out. We live in a big city which means more zombies, and we don't own firearms, and we are just not fast and I am not sure I could figure out where to hide in time. lol I am sure you all have thought of this too;)
So today I feel a bit like a zombie... not the hungering for eating people... unless those people are made of chocolate or something.... but I feel very tired and out of it. My husband stays up late and sometimes to keep him company I feel pressured to stay up with him. Last night I was up until 11pm!!! Sounds not that late but seeing as I need 8+ hours of sleep to feel decently normal and I had scarfed some Ben and Jerry's last night I didn't sleep well. Had to wake up early to go with my son and work in his classroom. So now I am home and thinking that going to bed looks very nice:) So no exercise today. There is a 15 minute walk that I will fit in to walk my neighbors dog but other than that I think I am going to rest. It's going to be a hard week for working out anyway. Dr's appt's tomorrow for both me and my little one (well not so little at 6 years old) and I am sure by the time I get back there will be other things to do at home. So I will be back on the trail by Thursday!
Hello Lili!! You are so sweet:) Annie Lennox is really built. However, instead of Gwen I want to look like Brittany Spears..... when she is in shape and not crazy that is;) lol. Just saw the "Womanizer" video and the song isn't great but since she's laying naked on a bench you get to see how much she has gotten back into shape!!! .... or how well she has been airbrushed. Either way I would love to look like that!! lol I will be waiting for your visit:D... if zombies don't get us first!! lmao
So for all of you (all 3 who read this lol ;)) who drop by Ode2BeFit (which is very hard to type btw;) lol) is my very bestest and long time friend. I call her Leash... but it can be spelled Lish (still pronounced Leash- lol Lili remember when you though my name was pronounced Mish like Dish... he he he. ) So I finally got her to check out our site and just wanted to let you all know who she was!!! We have been friends for 25 almost 26 years and have both had our ups and downs (sadly mostly ups ;)) with weight. I am glad to see her here!
lol Leash not sure if there is lots of riveting stuff to read;) lol I am very glad you are here though!! xoxo
Hope you all are having a fabulous day!

On a side note I am hunched over my computer and I can feel the baby moving around in there! Next week we will find out if it's a boy or girl. VERY EXCITED!!! Anyone want to place bets now;)

Who Knew?

So today my son and I had some appointments. His was with the urologist to figure out how to prevent future kidney infections. He has a bit of reflux of urine back into the kidneys which is what caused the kidney infection. Sadly it's hereditary. I had the same darn thing and I feel a bit guilty. It's not like I meant for him to have it but the fact that just being his mom has caused him pain really sucks!... Ok melodramatic I know but I feel bad.
My appointment went very well. I was scheduled to meet with a dietitian today to discuss eating during the pregnancy. Because I started this pregnancy overweight the weight I need to gain is lower. Technically I should really only gain about 15lbs. However, because I spent several months eating badly I have gained 20. That is not all baby weight and I know that but they would like me to stay on a good track to keep the baby healthy and to make it easier on me.
Meeting with her was sort of stressful. I didn't know what to expect and someone shaking their finger at me because I know better wouldn't help. She surprised me though. She was very, very nice and I gave her my history so she would know that I had portion sizes and calorie counts down... it was just a matter of being disciplined. I guess I knew that. There are a few things also that have made it harder to stay on track. Some of me has some superstitious feelings about losing weight while I am pregnant and I was scared of not eating the foods that help the baby. My crazy rationale is that if I am eating a lot then somewhere in there the baby will get what it needs. I know this sounds dumb. I see the words coming out on the computer and I wonder how I could even think that but not knowing leaves me in a strange place and I have over-compensated. I hope some of this makes sense.
So with her knowing my history she was able to jump right into a plan and tell me what calorie range I should be in and what foods I should be eating. She set me up on a plan for 1800 calories which makes sense to me. I had been thinking between 2,000 and 2,500 calories on days I work out because of the loss of calories when I jog and she said that was fine. She said she totally supported places like fitday and sparkpeople for food tracking. Basically she validated all the things I did previously when I lost weight. I needed that validation because people (and my husband) had been telling me what I was doing wasn't healthy. Not the what but the how. They thought I was too focused and obsessive about everything and that wasn't a good place to be. I listened and thought I wasn't doing it well and now have felt all messed up about it. Turns out I did well for me and was on a plan I could stick with... well I think I could stick with. That really meant a lot to me and totally motivated me!
So I need to get my butt back onto sparkpeople or fitday and start entering my food. It's obsessive and difficult but the payments in the future will be worth it. She has also given me guidelines for an 1800 calorie diet that consists of 9 grain servings, unlimited veggie, 3 fruit servings, 3 dairy, and 3 fats.... and there were a few other things. Very basic and user friendly. I feel good about it and figure it gives me a spring board for the rest of the pregnancy and getting back into shape after the pregnancy. It's nice to feel focused. Of course I know it's easy to say and sometimes harder to do but I will get there:) At least I know that all the things I have learned are valuable and that I know what works for me! Yay!!
Hope you all are having a wonderful day:)!!

Sounds liek a productive day all around. I'm going for girl by the way. just cuz you already have a boy, no other reason...

BTW, your friend here seems like she's a little off... :biggrinjester:

I like that in a person! :biggrinjester:

Let it Snow!!

So today after several days of temps in the 70's it decided to snow! Not big, happy flakes but little bits of ice. It's pretty though. I still went out for my run. This week has been a bit crazy with time in my son's classroom and also doctor's appointments. Monday was the last day I was able to get out for a walk/run. So today I decided to push myself a little more. I ran very slow but I was going for endurance rather than time. I did well! I ran 30 minutes straight!! I ran a total of 35 minutes I think and 2 miles in distance. Up and down hills. I had to stop when I got to the big hill though and break that up into chunks. It's a really tough hill.
So I was expecting my time to be a bit longer and was pleasantly surprised that it was still 46 minutes! So I had good time and ran farther than I have in a long time. It's a good morning so far:)
Hello reluctantcabbie!! lol she is a bit off. We both are. You should see us together. It's usually a riot. I guess after being friends for so long I think we reach to new heights to entertain ourselves. lol. Thanks for the vote of girl. I need more of those lol. Positive thoughts!
I really want a girl but a boy of course would be fine. Just until I know I am aimed at girl:D We'll find out on Tuesday!!!
Have a great day!

I hope you get a little girl as well! Great job running. I need your determination! I can't wait until Tuesday when you find out!!!

Morning!! :seeya:
Sounds like your appointment was helpful!! I know it sucks to feel like you're obsessing about it but hey, whatever works! ;)
So... tomorrow is the BIG day!!! You know I really think it's a girl. I know it, I feel girly vibes coming out of your tummy. Really... and they're not just your girly vibes either... those come out of somewhere else. ;) LOL. hehee.. (eww not there, get your mind out of the gutter!)
Well... time to go pretend I'm working...
x's and o's!

.... Me, off? lol.. so true.
You and Me = :iamwithstupid: :ack2: in a good way ;) and i ? it!

Busy Day!

lol Fruittart- I actually installed a girl viber on the tummy just to throw you all off;) And my mind didn't even go to the gutter... it didn't really go anywhere;) I am just too tired today. lol my loser friend for sure;)
Hello Karl, Brandy and jzthedetermined (sorry don't know your name yet). Eventually I think we all come out of anonymity;)
Today was a whirlwind of things. I still managed to get my walk/run in but it was half of what I usually do. Actually ran straight about 25 minutes. 30 minutes of jogging in all. I use those terms loosely. Last week when I ran, I think it was Thursday, I started getting pains in my lower tummy. I am pretty sure they are ligaments stretching but I am going to have them checked out just to be sure. They freakin' hurt!! So I have taken it easier on the running. Just a very mild jog. However, I am still getting my butt out there.
After my jog I had to drive 50 minutes to get some desks I had purchased from craigslist (or as I know it- "The excuse to tour the city". lol). I got there at 10:15 and back on my way at 10:30. I needed to be at my son's school by 11:05 so the trip that took 50 minutes to get out there took 30 to get back. The need for speed was certainly there. Luckily I didn't get caught! This time....
Then I ate lunch with my boy for "Special Persons Day". Yup that's me;) Then I had 2.5 hours of volunteer work at the book fair. It was so busy with kiddos all over the place needing help filling out their "wish lists". I was on my feet most of the day and those dogs are barking!! Got home. Did homework and now off to take truck back to hubby and get dinner.
Tomorrow is the big day and OMG!!! I am so excited. I will be sure to post:)
Hope you all are having a fabulous day in spite of the fact it's Monday;)!!

Mishi, You aren't worried about impact while running? Guess you know your body... but you might consider a different form of cardio with less impact as the months go by.

I'll be waiting for your post today.

BTW, If I'm right, do I win anything?
