Well Sugar Booty!! I have to say I ALWAYS wanted male friends, BUT every single guy I tried to have a friendship with tried to turn the tables on me and wanted more, it SUCKED! I do think that some women ARE capable of having only Male friends, as my sister was that way all through school. But, some can't handle it. So that's my two cents and I'm sure it doesn't matter in the least, but I feel better getting it out. LOL LOL I love your workout yesterday, you do so good getting out in the hood and busting your tail every day. I have no doubt by the next weigh in you will see a drop or two on that scale. To clear up what I said in my last post:

What I mean to say is from the guy's perspective only. I think it is possible for a Woman to be Friends with a Man without sex being a part of it. I don't know if it is really true, but I've had enough Women tell me it was :( that I accept it as true.

What I meant to say was that from the Man's point of view there is a sexual element to close personal friendships with Women to some degree. Probably that is subject to the Woman being of appropriate age to be a potential sexual partner and so on.

Point of obfuscating clarification. :)

Here's what I think--sure most hetero friendships are going to have that element of sexual attraction--however the thing I'm trying to say, and perhaps I didn't say it very well in my last post, is that you genuinely want to be a friend--even if it never turns into anything more than that. That's different from only being a friend in the hopes of becoming more. And both of those happen--hence it IS possible to be just friends b/c you want to be just that--regardless of what might happen in the future.

That is very well said! Sometimes the sexual attraction, and the fact that it mustn't be consumated brings the friendship to a different level, the attraction makes it work somehow.

Once or twice it has turned into more for me and that has never worked out for me. It turned the friendships sour and you lose it all for awhile. Then if there's not too much hurt you can get past that and remain friends. But it is difficult.

She sounds like a jumped-up little entitlement-princess/control-freak who WILL file for divorce (when the time is right) and WILL take him for every penny. She probably controls every single aspect of his life including who his friends are and what he spends his money on. Would I be correct in saying that he's working to support the both of them whilst she pursues her education? Yes?
