MC001's Diet Diary

You have really achieved a lot. :) Your food looks great too - really healthy. I bet you are feeling heaps better than when you started. Have you passed your half way mark now?

Hi There

I've been away for just a little over a week and haven't really had internet access.

I'm glad to report that I have managed to stay sensible and resist the temptation of all the treats that have been offered before me ... well, mostly ;)

Anyhow, having weighed myself today I now weigh 180.4 lbs, meaning I have lost 4.4 lbs since Monday of last week - which is not bad at all.

I have decided to extend my goal and have moved my target from 170 lbs to 165 lbs which I have every confidence I will reach.

This whole dieting business is getting easier by the week and I am being tempted by things less and less. I think my approach now is best described by sensible eating. Starting is always the hardest part, at least thats what I personally find, but now I'm on the right track things are going smoothly.

And yes, I do feel much better. Not only do I feel better, but I look better, have more energy and sleep better. That and my digestion seems to be functioning properly, rather than feeling bloated for ages.

Oops ... I seem to have put on a bit of weight. I now weight 181 Lbs, so Ive gained 0.6 Lbs since Thursday last week. Can't same I'm overly suprised though - it was a friends birthday dinner on Friday and Saturday I had some family over and there was lots of food.

I'll have to be extra good this week, but to be honest it hasnt bothered me all that much - not as long as I am making progress.

Oh man - I can go up 2 pounds between breakfast and dinner - .6 since Thursday is normal! Did you weigh at the same time - wearing (or not) the same clothes?

Week Starting 5th Feb 07
Current Weight: 179 lbs
Weekly Weight Loss: 2 lbs

Well hello - things still seem to be going in the right direction although the rate at which I am losing weight has slowed down a little.

Still, 2lbs loss since last week isnt bad at all, and I can attribute not losing more to me being a little more flexible when it comes to treats, and the lack of physical activity.

I think I'll be strict with myself again this week and note down what I'm eating on a daily basis

Weight loss also slows down as you get past the 2nd or 3rd week, because by then you've gotten rid of most of your water weight and are now loosing fat.

Congratulations on the 2 pounds this week! That's fantastic, hope it continues for you!

Howdy

Despite saying I would monitor everything I've been eating on here, I have been very good anyway.

Well, except until Friday ... but there's a very good reason for that

On weighing myself Friday morning I weighed 174.9 lbs - that's a 4.1 Lb difference since Monday! Talk about fluctuating weight. And I certainly haven't been starving myself either.

I seriously doubt I'll be 174.9 lbs tomorrow morning though. Friday night I went out to dinner, and I spent the day at a friends house yesterday and enjoyed a rather tasty meal - plus a few treats.

Because I'm seeing such good progress I tend to treat myself on the weekends, but I hope I haven't put on too much weight these past two days  - just a pound or two ...

Very close to reaching my goal now.

Week Starting 12th Feb 07
Current Weight: 175.7 lbs
Weekly Weight-Loss: 3.3 lbs

Yep, I knew the weekend would result in a pound or so gain in weight - nevermind!

One thing I have definitely realised is that Bread does no agree with me, particularly untoasted. Milk too ... and definitely cheese. Its a good thing I only eat Pizza once a week on the weekend.

I've been feeling great since being on this new eating regime. Even once I reach my ideal weight I'll try to leave the bad habits behind.

Hi! I was off the forum for a few days and have just found your posts. You are going great guns! Good on you! I'm glad you plan to keep on with healthy eating because that's what will count for you long term. It must be very exciting to have made such progress already. :)
