Hi all it's been a minute. I started my first diary back in 2015, and I was very successful. I lost 140 lbs. and was able to keep it off for about 2.5 years. Then slowly my weight started coming back. Then I had some health issues, then COVID came and I some bad habits came back along the way and sadly have stayed. Also, my main source of exercise was walking my dog, a sweet stubborn old hound named Misty. She got older and wanted to walk less and passed May 2021. Since my last posting, I passed my A+ exam and got my certification. I've also moved into a new condo. I also took in Toby so I now have a cat.
Recently, I've been going to a nutritionist (Hi Grace!) and they have been really helpful, but I haven't been able to shake these bad habits and I've either stayed at the same weight or gained weight. She recommended the My Fitness Tracker app but TBH I really don't like it, I prefer posting here.
Right now I'm 296, so what went wrong? I think mainly, my bad eating habits started back again. I initially did well all week. Then I would have pizza and candy every other Sunday. Then every Sunday, Then partially on Saturday and all Sunday, to Sometimes during the week, Some candy on Thursday and junk on Saturday and Sunday. Also I'm walking less. When I started this journey I was walking 4 hours a day, then that gradually went down to three, then 2, then 1 then 1 every other day. Also I'm older which makes weight loss a bit harder.
When I signed up for the app it had my goal of 2270 calories a day. I'm not sure if that's too low or not. I'm going to start a new diary and something a little different. I'm going to include photos of what I ate.
