.. weekend at home for me - on-call with work - so can't stray too far - & have some computer-work to do today (with on-line course I am tutoring).. so will be sitting a fair amount at computer ....
View attachment 19768
..to balance the computer time- will need to work in some exercise....

Food :
brekkie ( had my usual whole-grain toast/eggs) View attachment 19771
lunch/supper - plan for salads & protein ( I am thinking fish today- maybe tuna with lunch , and ?salmon at supper)..and some fruit ( have fresh blueberries/strawberries in fridge).

Sounds like you are having a great Saturday! :cheers2:
Your brekkie looks good! I enjoy your posts with all the pictures - cute!
Actually all your foods look good. I love blueberries!!!!

Oh your food looks sooooo yummy!! I'm an egg addict - I love eggs! But on my Cohen's I can only have 1 egg a day. So missing the second eggie.

My laundry days are about the only exercise I get at the moment - up the stairs, down the stairs but really need to get on that treadmill - great stuff that you are working it into your schedule - maybe I should say that from 14h00 - 15h00 is my treadmill time.

Have a fab Sunday!!

Hey all - nice sunny Sunday here ....

Mystic, Tru, Justina Mands -thx for the support - it really helps ! ... good weekend .... another 1/2lb. of Vancouver gain is gone this morning ..yay.

..thx for info on a juicer Justina - I really am going to look into one- would really like to get more veggies into my daily routine- I think juice might be just the ticket.

...am enjoying my berries ( the blueberries & strawberries in my fridge)-so neat to get fresh-fruit this time of year - ...I have them with a bit of yogurt - yummy & low-cal.

... Mands - I like your idea to set a time-slot each day to plan for exercise/treadmill - for myself - my routine - first thing when I get home from work - 1/2hr on treadmill - BEfore I start anything else .... then I don't get distracted & forget , and 2nd session around 9pm - it's my: start of evening wind-down time- 1/2hr treadmill...then I allow myself some evening tv time aftr that- *( & also watch a fav.show during the 1/2hr on treadmill -...bit of "treat" for the good-work of exercise.)

...funny one to share - my hubby commented at supper last nite " See - I am having salad- 2nd nite in a row ! "...lol... it's like he's "competing" to keep up with me on healthy choices... so funny ( & I am happy too - a bit of "healthy" won't hurt my old better-half either.... ) View attachment 19782

wishing a nice weekend back to you gals too ,
..back to my computer-work, am sipping on a nice cup of green tea/with mint...helps keep the tummy-hungrees in control...View attachment 19783

Seems like you had a nice Sunday Maryann! I love the berries! Yes - we are lucky indeed to have access to that kind of fresh fruit in the middle of the winter!!
Haha for your husband's comment - lol. My husband was a junk food addict before we got married - he drank diet pepsi as water. no joke. What changed his mind is a couple of movies watched on netflix. I don't think i could not have achieved the same effect. Now he is more health conscious than me. I'm really grateful for that.

ps/ pretty pic of the snow & trees

Good job on losing those few pounds from your trip, and great job with the exercise! I really need to get my butt in gear!!

Mmmmm berries and yoghurt - I so wish!! But enjoy it!

Will definitely try this week to set a set time aside for my treadmill. My hubby gyms every single day for 2 hours! So I should keep up with a bit of treadmill hey?

Have a great day!

...aye - Monday..... really tired this mornin' - ... View attachment 19795

Mystic - ya- it is a bit ironic - work so hard to lose - then one weekend a bit "off"...and then have to really work hard to get back...but that's just how this road goes ...some ups, some downs, but keep movin' forward...

Good luck with your treadmill-time Mands- U will be so glad U did it...

Hey Justina - glad to hear your hubby is living healthy too - it really helps when your spouse is supportive... I've caught a few specials/documentaries too that really shocked me about our north-american diet & how bad it really is -I re-watch them when I need a "re-boot" on healthy inspiration...

Myself - today - did healthy eats,(but was too tired to log calories)....
- will go do treadmill now - .......

plan: hit the sack early tonite & start tomorrow rested, fresh, ready to roll.

Ya, i hear ya. I am still working on the pounds I gained over Christmas!! Puts me like 2 months behind where I would have been if I hadn't crashed and burned on 3 weeks of Christmas! Oh well, it happens, and as long as we always get back on track!

On a brighter note it's Tuesday already!!!! :)

Yeah - we do re-watch some of the documentaries - to get motivated about eating good again!

:seeya:

Hey all - Tues.- & it is a better day ... getting a bit more rest really helped...feel much better... thx Mystic & Justina for the support gals...

Did 200 steps on the stepper at noon ( was shooting for 175...but felt ok ...so kept going...will see what my butt muscles say 'bout it tomorrow- but today felt ok .) View attachment 19800

Treadmill- did the 1/2hr post-work, and will do 2nd 1/hr tonite.

food- budget today: 1,200 cals, planned food- 1,217.... not too hungree yet.... so should be ok.~ will keep my cups of tea rolling if stomach grumbles too much ...

Watched an TV episode of "Drs" while on treadmill- was really inspiring- they had some 2013 wt loss tips...and one segment really caught my ear & my heart - they had Rich Simmons( old-timer wt.loss guru) -View attachment 19801
... a clip of motivation he'd offered a guest ... here's what Richard said- "body suicide"-"when we don't take care of ourself-we slowly die-so everytime you overeat, everytime you get a little lazy& don't work out, you are committing body suicide, and this is your only body, and you have to take care of it for the rest of your life, 'cause no one can do it for you."... see your inner you, value your self-worth, you are worth it." ...
...whoa- bit heavy...but it really hit-home for me... puts a whole new-spin on eating healthy- no just trying to control-appetite/lose weight - but seeing healthy choices as "self love, self respect"... treat our bodies as they deserve to be treated...not mis-treated... ...

sorry to get "intense" on a cold mid-winter Tues...but have been a bit "under-motivated" last while...and the clip really re-inspired me....

cheers all,
wishing everyone a self-respectful, healthy choices day.

Good job on all the exercise. I can't believe Richard Simmons is still doing his thing, haha. He's been around a long time.

I think we do have to watch/listen stuff like that to keep us on track & to stay motivated. I do have my "motivational" movies on standby lol - just in case... They could be really powerful.
:hug2:

Hi Maryann, thanks for your sweet post in my diary. I didn't manage to tune out at golf & shed a few tears & played badly, but still I played 18 holes of golf & got all that exercise. Re the motivational videos I agree- we need constant reinforcement to maintain our motivation. Corny or otherwise I don't think it matters one iota where we find motivation, so long as we do! 2013, the year to learn genuine self-love & self-respect. We CAN do this. We are strong & determined. xoxo Cate

Hey folks - currently -24c here today ...bbbrrrrrr ..... so exercise is totally indoors for me today
View attachment 19804

-managed 200steps on stepper at noon
-did 1/2hr after-work treadmill, 2nd 1/2hr for tonite

food: budget today is 1,600 cals... planned food is 1,570 - having salmon & salad tonite - yum.

Inspiration...little-old quirky Richard Simmons stuck in my mind now... everytime I feel lazy I hear his squeeky voice- ... no one can do it for you... ha... bit annoying...but maybe good annoying... will keep me on straighter-track for a while... lol.

wishing everyone a nice evening with healthy choices,
cheers Maryann (aka-R.Simmons "oldie" fan... ) .... sheesh....

Holy moly I can't imagine how cold that is.... I don't think you'd get me outside in that weather either. Is it clear skies when it's that cold?

Haha about old Richard Simmons, it seems like he did some good in his time eh, he was always nice to the plump ladies on his show... Not that I saw it very often though.
