Marsia's Diary

Wear a mask, Marsia & take an antihistamine. Good luck with it all xo

It sounds to me like you did a great job!
Good for you enjoying looking after yourself & eating well. So you should :)

Sounds like a great day! What a nice way of practicing self-care. Do be sure you 100% know what you're harvesting if you want to eat wild plants.

Walks are awesome. Pretty sure the stress of seasonally not having enough food to eat and water to drink, astronomical infant mortality rates, and the ever-present threat of infectious disease would outweigh the supreme annoyance of paperwork for me. That said: I find paperwork very stressful, so I do feel for you.

Filling in trenches sounds like good exercise :) Is social studies a highschool subject? Sounds interesting; what are they working on?

filling in ditches? God bless you! lol You'll get a good workout from that I'm sure!! How's the weather where you are?

basically history and talking about the sociological implications of it, though in public schools it's not very common for social studies teachers to venture past the simple history of names, dates, and places and make it human and interesting.
Ouch. That kind of history teaching (drilling names/dates/places) fell out of favor before I was BORN in my neck of the woods  How awful that someone needs to be in private school to get a halfway decent education. Glad your kid gets to have that privilege though, plus a mom who cares enough (and has the time) to work through it with her.

Filling in trenches will be great exercise. That photo you posted on your walk was so pretty :)
I wonder where your Mum did put the important papers. Maybe there's a shoebox somewhere......

How lovely that the two of you stayed in touch. Throwing out your marriage certificate when you're basically hoarding everything else IS strange. Maybe she was like me and official things stressed her out so much she convinced herself they didn't matter?

That is lovely to have kept that friendship with someone who you can really relate to. That's very special.
You will probably find your Mum's important stuff after you have managed to work it all out without it. *sigh* Hopefully it will turn up soon.

Sounds like a lovely weekend. That's so funny that highschool baseball adaptations should carry over into tennis today!

That sounds like a lovely weekend, Marsia. A walk through the forest at dusk & a game of tennis? That sounds very therapeutic :)

:) I was ambidextrous as a kid because my right thumb was in my mouth non-stop for the first couple of years of my life. It wore of, sadly.

Marsia sounds like you have a jam packed life . Before my mum died she told me there was a letter in an envelope . Never ever found it !!

I used to play tennis and badminton and squash always with left hand . I just know if I started again my shoulder would give up .
Your walk sounds lovely and glad K is doing well in school

What is sad is that our county has very few cases of the virus, but we are lumped in with a bunch of very bad counties. I feel so bad for the businesses here. But if we aren't locked down but the surrounding counties are, people will all flock here. So it's better this way.
Much better! Glad to hear your area is relatively safe and your politicians are taking things seriously.
Sunrise over the ocean sounds wonderful!

Hello! It's difficult for me because it's inconvenient to count calories, but I also understand that I have to watch how much I eat. What do you eat to get protein? Usually, it's the hardest. Fortunately, I am cooking more now, and it gets better.

Just popping in to say hi :)
