mar 08: 96kgs/212lbs, june 09: 85kgs/188lbs, oct 09: 63kgs/139lbs

I am starting out with almost the exact same stats as you and seeing your pics is soooo encouraging. I know it must be hard to share your before pics but you have no idea how much that inspires me. Thanks so much for posting.

no problems, let me know anytime if you wanna discuss anything :)

Thanks! I actually did have a question for you. You mentioned that you have an active social life and that you are a drinker. How were you able to balance that with your weight loss? I am also a drinker and that has been my biggest downfall when it comes to my diet. Any tips you have would be helpful.

hmmm. ok maybe not toooo active. i never ever ever drink during the week. but i'll have an all nighter of drinking friday and saturday nights sometimes. i guess i'm a bit of a cop out, when i do that i'll try to only have one meal on a sunday night and make it as healthy as poss - ie subway. on saturdays i'll have a fruit salad and scrambled eggs with vegies and egg whites only, no milk.

it sounds bad - like i'm advertising alcohol tsk tsk, but i'm too young to give up drinking at only 23 now, and i'd be the most boring person out honestly! so if i'm going to keep partying for a while, i drink only jack daniels and coke zero, so basically 68 calories per standard drink. my friends will drink beer - thats approx 121 calories per beer and thats the lowest one!! so i'm miles ahead so far i think. but yes, i think with a lot of my friends they feel down and out and unhealthy on a sunday and thus overeat - but because they sleep all day and only wake in time for dinner - they think 1200 calories or something like that is ok.

but thats forgetting all the booze they've had over the weekend! i try to allow a booze free weekend a month (haven't been able to do that in a while though sigh), because that means i can exercise saturday morning and maybe even sunday evening and definitely monday mornings as well!!

basically for me, its not that i eat when i'm on the booze, its that it knocks me for 6, and i can't get back into my exercise til monday night.

u have to become a bit of a nazi...

I eat very little throughout the day if I know im going to be drinking, that way I get drunk alot quicker since its on an empty stomach, so it therefore saves calories and not to mention is saves money :)

Oh my gosh!!! im sooo happy for you. I want to loose weight, but its just so hard! and i loose hope! :banghead:but your pictures have really touched me! Plus im at 178 and want to cut down to 135. You have inspired me alot!! by the way, you look soo amazing!

I'm just an inch taller than you. I'm 41-23 years older than you but I find your before and afters so inspirational! You must be so thrilled with yourself. I noticed how well you do at supporting others in diaries, etc and I just wanted to say thanks for being such an inspiration.

I'm 94.7kg now and my goal is 65kg. Mind you, when I was last 65kg (summer 2008) I had zero muscle so I'm not sure what I'd look like at a muscular 65kg. You've inspired me to take fitness more seriously and also take more clear photos of before and after.

Thanks so much!!

Wow you are so amazing! I was your before weight too, and I now weight 78 (I did get to 72 but gained weight from my under active thyroid). I already have loose skin and it is so disgusting and embarrassing. I was wondering how in the hell did you get you're skin all tight again? Do you have any loose skin problems?

You truly are a inspiration. Thank you!

Inspiration

You look great....you are definitely my inspiration. I have been thumbing around on this site for the last two months now, looking for some type of inspiration. After looking at you and your progress, I feel like can do it too. I'm 5'2, 250lbs and would like to lose at least 105lbs by the end of the year. I'm going to start with my eating habits, and pull that treadmill out of the garage. Wish me luck, and continue to inspire people like me.

hmmmm. well i think i will always have stomach flab, like when i bend over, like lean forward u can see it, and my upper thighs are still really flabby. don't think i'll ever fix that...but yes i make sure i do a LOT of core exercises, at least half an hour each day of my workout is straight crunches...i really think it has helped out with the loose skin not becoming a problem??

OMG! You're AMAZING! You really are my idol. So well done! And you're keeping it up.:)
I started trying to lose weight in October 2009, I've worked out since then, and lost 5-6kgs. But the problem is that I can't get my eating right. I work out 5-7 times a week (3-4x1.5h in gym, 2-3x1.5h volleyball) and I think it's enough, but it's worthless if I keep eating around or over 2000 calories. Do you have any tips or recommendations how to resist unhealthy snacks and avoid overeating? I would really appreciate it. And how did you manage to drink 8(!!!) liters of water a day? I hardly drink 1.5-2l and that's including the water I drink while training.
By the way I'm 5'10'' and weigh around 75 kg currently (I would like to lose additional 10kgs).

Wow, so you are my hero here.

I have similar starting stats and am 25 myself. Hoping to do what you did! You look unbeliveable and you have no loose skin. You've inspired me to actually do some strength training.

Hello, you look fantastic. Sorry to ask, but it doesnt look like it at all, but do you have any loose skin since losing the weight?
thank you :hurray:

I cant tell you how much you've motivated me - you look like a completely different person! You were attractive before, but now you're drop dead gorgeous! It's so amazing how weight loss completely transforms people. I used to weigh 133 lbs, but through some really stressful events lately I went right up to 206 lbs! Within 6 days I'm down to 197, but you've really motivated me to get exercising! Nothing helps my weight loss like exercise. Thankyou so much for sharing, you have no idea how much you've motivated me! Be proud because what you've done is truly amazing!
