My starting weight was 206lbs

My current weight 196lbs

My goal is to lose 70lbs

Hope I can do it this time.

I am going to keep typing in my diary every single day, what I eat, what I drink and how much exercise so that I can keep track and LOSE 70lbs

Thats great I could do with all the help I can get. I have so much to lose, but am feeling very motivated. I went for a 15 mile cycle last night when I got home from work and felt great if absolutely knackered after it. A bit stiff this morning, but onwards and downwards. I went for a three mile walk this morning. Not very fast, because I have asthma and am trying to keep that under control, but I figure any exercise has to be good. I get weighed on Friday 3rd September, and really want to be down a few pounds for that. Thanks for the support, really appreciate it.

Hi mad2lose!

Hope your going well, I actually am at a quite similar place to you, I am 203 trying to lose 60 - 70lbs (though my goal at the moment is 60!) It'll be good to have someone else losing about the same amount as me, and at the same time as me (well your a bit lighter t the moment! :D )

Anyhoo, hope the horse riding was fun and goood luck!

Hi Meece, thats brilliant. We can be diet buddies!! Well the horse riding went great except for I went straight over his head when he refused a jump. No worries there tho, cos I actually landed on my feet

there isn't much of a different between our weights. I get weighed in on Friday the 3rd September by my Doctor, and every second week after that just to check on my progress. Its hard, but this time, I am actually really motivated. I went for my walk this morning before work so that kinda woke me up a bit. How are you doing ?? Just think, every week we will be getting nearer and nearer our goal. I'm only 5ft 2in so my weight is a real issue. Anyway, onwards and downwards hee hee. Have a great day!!

31st August 2010

Was away for the weekend. Had a fantastic time. Did lots and lots of cycling and walking etc. I didn't break out at all with the alcohol and I'm delighted now that I didn't. I still enjoyed myself without it and saved loads of calories hee hee. I think I might have overdone the eating though, I'm not quite sure, but it was mostly healthy foods. I will know on Friday morning when I go back to the Doc to get weighed etc. :angelsad2:

anyway, back to updating my food diary:

Today 31st August 2010

1. Walked 3 miles this morning before work.

2. I had a bowl of porridge made on water for breakfast

3. Had a granola bar at 11 cos I was still hungry mmmmm (not good)

4. Have a pasta salad with a small roll for my lunch

5. Am going for a 3 mile walk at lunchtime.

6. Am having vegetarian pasta for dinner this evening.

7. Going horse riding tonight - hopefull will manage to actually stay on tonight hee hee

8. Will have drank 2 ltrs of water by the time I leave work this evening.

I really hope I'm not eating too much, but I guess I will know on Friday morning. Fingers crossed

Sounds to me like you are doing great. Good luck on Friday :)

Thanks eyckmans. I am really nervous about getting weighed on Friday. I am hoping to be down 5lbs but we will have to wait and see. My scales at home is no good, one day I'm down and the next I'm up so its just not worth using it and I'm not going to buy another one, because I will just get completely obsessed with it, so I'll just have to wait for Friday morning. You really have lost a huge amount of weight fair play to you. You must be feeling fantastic now.

1st September 2010

Went for my 3 mile walk this morning. The weather is just fabulous. Put me in great form for the day.

Had my granola bar for breakfast. Will have porridge at around 11 a.m.

Am going for my walk at lunch time (3 miles)

Lunch : Small bagel with boiled egg

Dinner : Veg pasta

Water : 2.5 ltrs approximately for the day.

Had a fantastic time horseriding last night. Did alot of cantering, and a serious amount of jumping which was brilliant. At least this time I actually stayed on hee hee Am really stiff this morning, but no pain no gain .....

Hope to go cycling this evening if the weather stays fine.

Am feeling kinda positive today. My clothes are starting to get quite lose, so I am hoping thats an indication that I have actually lost a few pounds. I hope so anyway.:toetap05: Have to wait and see.

Try not to stress over what the scales tell you. It is far more important how your clothes feel on you than numbers on the scales. Don't be dissapointed if you haven't lost as many lbs as you expected as you obviously have gone down in measurements if your clothes feel loose.

Awesome going maddy. You're gonna get there in no time. Btw, how on earth did you manage to fly off a horse and land on your feet over its head?!! You must be very flexible/nimble or whatever. I would have broken at least one bone. :)

Ah! Another horse rider! :) I give you kudos on your great job so far. As to jumping, I learned, but as I have a phobia of falling, I never really went past 1 footers... :) I do a lot of western riding.

With how you're doing so far, I think you'll be at your goal in no time!

Hai great job with your losses so far! I have hidden my own scales otherwise I know I'll be to excited and check them every hour. And you horse ride! Awesome, unfortunately I can't afford it anymore but even if I could I'm over the reccomended weight - any incentive to put down on my long list TYVM :). Living in London atm sucks >< Hehe good luck with your weigh-ins!

OMG I am sooo happy. Went to the Doctor this morning. Am down 7lbs. I am soo happy. Thank you all so much for your support. I really appreciate it. When I came in to work this morning, I just logged on to see what was happening, and you had all left lovely messages for me. I was feeling so nervous about getting weighed in, you will never know how much it meant to me to see all the notes of support from you all. Thank you so much.

I am still on a high, but just thought I would let you know how I got on. Yippeeee thats a total of 17lbs so far. Now that means I am 189lbs. A long way to go yet, but you know what, I know I can do it, with all the support here, its just incredible. Thanks again to all of you.

Hugs to you all Maddie xx

Hey Xorie ...... phobia of falling (I know that feeling). I fall quite alot ha ha but I love it so much I just can't stop doing it. I'm doing 1 meter jumps now, which is good for me cos I'm only 5ft 2inches. My horse is 16.2 hands which is big enough for me, but he is a real pet. Its just sometimes he doesn't like to jump the doubles, especially when one of them is a spread, he is a bit of a chicken, but I love him. Thanks for your support. I will try to find your diary and have a read. I love all the encouragement that we get on this forum its unbelievable. I'm still a novice with it, so I'm not sure if I am posting things in the proper place. I will get better hopefully. Good luck in your weight loss journey.:waving:

Hey Rougex I know what your saying about the scales. I won't have them in my house because I know I will become completely obsessive about weighing myself every day. I have decided not to weigh myself at all. I'm only going to get weighed in every two weeks at the Docs. Next weigh in day is 16th September. Bring it on :willy_nilly: When you get to the recommended weight, you should try the horse riding, its so much fun and very good exercise. I know it is a bit expensive, but even if you could treat yourself once a month, when you maybe lose a couple of pounds, use it as your treat to yourself. Have you got a diary? God I better get back to work. Haven't done a tap since I got here :blush5: Thanks a million again for the good wishes & the best of luck on your own journey:waving:
