Unfortunately it's only supermarket baking that I'm doing, not really exciting at all... actually all it is is pulling frozen rolls/pastries/cookies out of a box and putting them in the oven on trays lol. Actually it's pretty bad while trying to lose weight, it's too easy to eat things along the way!

Lisa- I'm hoping I haven't gained but I feel really squishy and unfit right now... so I think regardless of what the scales say I'm feeling pretty blah about myself. I know I'll be fine once I start exercising again.

Sunflower- nice to see you too! I'll try my hardest not to disappear again, I always was pretty bad at keeping diaries.

And to all of you- thanks for your kind words about Wade. As soon as he told me I went to a pretty bad place for a day or two... then we decided to get together and I told him I wouldn't be sad about this, and that I'd be all the positive energy he needed. I told him that anything could happen in 5 years, and no matter what we both had to stay positive and do everything he ever wanted to in the meantime... So we're planning on having a really awesome few years! Starting with us planning a trip for Paris late Jan or early Feb next year. He's been wanting to go back for a few years and he really wants to teach me how to ski... so I'm super excited!

Ooh and cafe names... Wade applied for 4 to see what comes back approved, I'm not sure what other names he applied for but the one he is hoping for is the Lucky Waddle Cafe (hehe, Lucy and Wade). Will definitely be keeping people updated as it happens!!

Hm so today I wasn't insanely good, think it was probably just a maintenance day... Here's what I ate, I won't put it in meals though cuz I worked this morning and usually that means what I would typically have for lunch I eat at about 10am... so this is my food for the day:

3 Weetbix, 1/2 cup skim milk
3 oat and raisin cookies (at work, gaaaah they are my only downfall there... at least I only bake cookies like once a month!)
Spiced bean loaf, 1 slice (it's pretty much all bean and veg with some wheat germ)
Small Greek salad
4 vita weat crackers, about 60g low fat cottage cheese
Too many choc balls (I made 1 batch and ate about half and gave the rest to my friend that was here for the day, so it comes in at about 60g raw cashews, 100g pitted dates, 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa, and 10g desiccated coconut)

Also had several cups of coffee... 3 I think... And heaps of water. Weird, it wasn't that hot today (well, it was 33C but it feels really cool lol) I've gone through 3L of water and still drinking.

Didn't really do much in the way of exercise today, but worked on my feet for 3hrs, then grocery shopped for an hour, then spent over an hour making the spiced bean loaf... cuz it's made with all fresh veg I bought a heap and quadrupled the recipe... I tell you what, it's freakin hard work grating bulk veg and chopping endless amounts of celery and onion! Did a bit of cleaning too, then spent the rest of the day watching TV with a friend. TOM is coming in a few days so I think I was feeling particularly lazy and out of it. Really couldn't be bothered doing anything at all!

Anyhoo... the plan is to be as healthy as possible this week till I get my scales and can weigh in, hopefully without having a heart attack! Will post measurements etc then too, and if I'm feeling brave I might even take a photo.

O I C...In the supermarket here the bakers actually mix things lol I have seen them mixing up cakes and flour and cutting the dough to make bread, etc. I'm sure there are also frozen things they work with...namely the doughnuts. When I was unemployed for a while I wanted to work as a cake decorator, I hadn't even thought about the temptation! But then again at that time I didn't care :p

I like the name Lucky Waddle Cafe, it sounds like a good place to relax and have a few laughs with some cool gals and blokes :D Thx for keeping us updated, I'm really looking forward to hearing what happens next!
 
Xe- Yea it's not a proper bakehouse, it's called a 'mini bakery'... so yea everything is frozen lol. Oh and of all the cafe names Wade applied for, Lucky Waddle Cafe was the only one accepted. So it's our official name now :D

Hm so what've I been up to for the past couple days... well I'd love to say I've been really healthy but I haven't really... oops! Went to the casino Fri night and again Sat, over the 2 nights I turned my $95 I had left into $480! It would have been more but I spent more on drinks and food... not good food either. I ate SO much junk food on Thu, Fri and Sat weren't so bad but they weren't the healthiest days ever.

Think I might wait till Tue to weigh in now, just cuz I start at 5am tomorrow and I want to take measurements at the same time... not something I can be bothered getting up 10mins earlier for lol. I wasn't on the roster but tomorrow is a public holiday and there's no one else. I don't mind, penalty rates! Woot!!

Ooooh I'm signing up for the City2Surf 12km run in August!!! Planning to go to Bali a week or two after as well. Think I have a weight and fitness goal then! I would LOVE to be able to do it in an hour. I'm going in a group raising money for a cure for Crohn's disease- one of my best friends sister nearly died from it last year so her mum set up a fundraising group for it.

Anyhoo... I'm going to read a few diaries now, n think I might head out for a walk. Ciao!

I know I said I was going to post weight/measurements yesterday but I was actually kinda ashamed, I got some bad news on Mon and went on a two day eat-everything-in-sight-plus-more binge... I know the bad news isn't really an excuse, I really need to get a hold on the emo-eating!!!

Wade got a call from his doctor, his liver has started to fail. They weren't expecting this to happen for a couple of years so he's aleady deteriorating a lot faster than they thought. They've changed his meds so something that is supposed to protect his liver from being so badly attacked by the chemo, he gets another checkup in a fortnight and if it's not any better he needs a liver transplant. They didn't want to have to do that for a few years because it's incredibly risky for him and recovery will be incredibly difficult with chemo... Argh it's all so horrible :(

Anyway, I decided to man up today and post stats that I took this morning. I knew they'd be horrible, TOM is due plus I have eaten so much shit the past couple of days... so I know a fair amount is water. But whatev- I've decided I'm going to take control of this. Really my weight/fitness should be something I CAN control. Anyway, here we go:

Weight- 72.7kg ~ 160.2lbs (yikes!)
Bust- 101cm ~ 39.8inches
Waist- 81cm ~ 31.9inches
Abs- 94cm ~ 37inches
Hips- 99cm ~ 39inches
Thigh- 63cm ~ 24.8inches

(Bust is taken around fullest part/ nipple line, waist is at natural waist, abs around fullest part, hips around fullest part of butt, thighs at the widest part right under butt)

Yea so it's incredibly bad... but I'm facing up to it, and I'm determined to get those numbers down again.

I'm off to check out diaries!!
 
Don't know if I mentioned this previously, but I draw a little... and I'm designing a tattoo for my back for when I get to my (previous) halfway mark of 65kg. I want a fairy... haven't really thought much about how I want it etc... just been scribbling a heap. Will post ideas later when I have some scribbled down that I like!!
 
So today wasn't the greatest, but I guess it also wasn't the worst. I wasn't that hungry so ate randomly today:

4 slices leftover pizza from last night
1 1/2 frozen bananas with 1/2 tsp peanut butter
4 vita weats with low fat cottage cheese
4 tbsp low fat vanilla yogurt

Exercise was only 20mins walking, had a bit of a lazy one. Had a friend come round and she didn't want to exercise- she'd already been to the gym and had roller derby training tonight... so we pretty much just sat and watched tv.

Anyhoo... I guess goal for tomorrow is just to be better than today!!
 
I am so sorry to hear about what's happening to Wade Luz :( I'll hope with you that the meds work and there will be a good report at his next checkup.

Well today wasn't really much better than yesterday, I guess it was fine calorie-wise but not great food-wise (again) DOH! I had work this morn 5-8 so my first meal was at like 4:30am... and the rest was all over the place. I'll just list what I ate but it's kinda spread out all over the day.

2 pieces wholemeal grain toast with 2 eggs
8 mini mars bar cookies (eek- had to bake cookies again today cuz they're on special.... terrible!! 8 cookies is around 180gms- so there's 1000cals of cookie, what a waste!)
2 chickpea and fetta tarts (these are YUM, got the recipe out of a Biggest Loser cookbook I have... 110cals each and SO filling!)
Protein shake with skim milk
2 more chickpea and fetta tarts
Orange and mango lite jelly (clocking in at a whopping 10cals lol)

Exercise so far has been a 20min walk, going to go soon for another one for an hour when it cools down a little bit more.

OOO I bought some exercise equipment for home- I know it's not really necessary with the gym right over the road, and I use the gym a couple mornings a week... I just don't like having to go there after getting home from work. I know it's weird lol... I get home at 8:30am and feel dirty and sweaty and don't want to go out in public- but I don't want to go to the gym straight after a shower either (haha I'm such a girl!) Got myself a fitball and a barbell with 20kg worth of plates. So NO excuses now!

Also ordered a new mobile phone... The phone I've been paying for for the last year and half on a contract died a few months back and silly me, I didn't have insurance on it. So I've been using an incredibly temperamental and severely thrashed Blackberry that was my husbands phone of choice... Maybe 3-4 years ago lol. So YAY one less annoyance in my life!! Hoping to get it next week :D

Ooo and just being randomly excited..... it's sposed to be 26C tomorrow!!! YAY!!! Can't wait for a cool day!

Plus I love your food logs as well,you have a great diet with some nice things going on I must say!Those mars cookies sound amazing!! :D as do those feta and chickpea tarts,my goodness I'm a lover of both pulses and cheese!Yum yum yummm.Don't worry about having bad days here and there by the way,we all have them, and it certainly won't be long til you're right back on track again so it's fine!

Well today didn't start off wonderfully... Had to bake more cookies at work (dammit!!!!) I hate that that seems to be my downfall at the moment!!! Here's food today...

4 weetbix with skim milk
10 (arrrghghghghgghghgh) cookies with MM's (prob just over 1000cals of cookies again)
lite orange and mango jelly with 150g low fat vanilla Greek yogurt
2 lite rye wraps with low fat cottage cheese and 50g smoked salmon
2 chickpea and fetta tarts

Here's the good part though... check my exercise!!

30mins walk home from work
25mins resistance with my new bar (just did all my major muscles, I was expecting a friend- so quads, hamstrings, back, chest)
30mins walk to the shop then approx 1hr walking round the shops
According to Google maps we also did approx another 3kms walking to and from public transport too so equal to another 45+ mins walking

So yea haven't really sat still all day! Also did a bit of cleaning n stuff this morning. Damn the cooller weather though (28c haha funny how that's 'cool' now) I couldn't feel myself burning. And now I am a human tomato. Woot!

Got a new bed cover today, yaaaaaaaaaay!!! And new sheets!!!! And my phone came. And I watched Adjustment Bureau at the movies n chilllllllled. What an awesome fun day. Happy weekend everyone!!!!!!!!
 
Hey Luz, glad to see your positive mood has returned this week! Yesterday looked great - I wouldn't be able to resist fresh cookies either but at least you burned them off!! That's what counts most!
I'm sorry to hear you are going through such a tough time with Wade - I hope it all works out. Stay strong - he needs you.

Today was pretty exhausting, I worked 5-3... and unfortunately for me spent about 4 of those hours baking all the rest of the cookies in the freezer. It wasn't SO bad today, I had an absolutely terrible sugar craving so the last thing I wanted was to bake cookies. Actually I couldn't even wait for them to come out of the oven- I kept eating the bits of broken cookie dough that I wouldn't bake. I don't think it was as bad as the last few days... I actually stopped myself today though, I was a bit like wtf are you doing, look at yourself. Then I didn't eat anymore. Had heaps of leftovers though that I put in the staffroom- resisted them all through my lunch break but about half an hour before I went home I took my last tea break and I wanted them soooooo badly... I hadn't eaten my lunch or afternoon tea because I was full of cookie but I ate them to stop me from eating more crap lol. So the day wasn't SO bad, I think it would've been more maintenance than anything else. Here's food:

2 pieces wholemeal grain toast with 2 eggs
Lite raspberry jelly with low fat vanilla Greek yogurt
Cookie dough (maybe 4-8 cookies worth approx)
2 chickpea and fetta tarts
4 vita weats with low fat cottage cheese
Barramundi crumbed and oven baked
Approx 300g of rustic cut potatoes with salt n pepper, oven baked
1 glass diet champagne (60cals)

Didn't do any exercise, but worked for 10hrs, so was standing and walking/lifting for 9 of those. I'm planning on going for a walk first thing tomorrow morning. Meh I'm really too tired to function right now... Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

I'm proud to report that today I was finally awesome :D It's a lot easier for me on weekends though because I work all day and can really only sit down and eat at break times (unless I'm baking cookies like yesterday grr) ANYHOO... I work 10-5 on a Sunday, so this morning I got up at 7 and went for an hour walk. It was so nice and cool out too :D Blah it's sposed to be 36C again tomorrow, so it was nice while it lasted... Here's todays food:

2 pieces wholemeal grain toast with 2 eggs and 2 beef chipolatas
2 frozen bananas pureed with 1/2 tbsp cacao powder (yum, choc banana icecream!)
2 chickpea feta tarts
4 vita weats, low fat cottage cheese
Lite raspberry jelly with low fat vanilla Greek yogurt
4 slices spinach and ricotta pizza (100cals a slice)
1 glass diet champagne

Exercise was the 1 hr walk this morning

Just chilling tonight, going to have an early one tomorrow. I was asked to work 8-4 (not too happy about that, hubby has the day off and I was looking forward to spending time with him. O well, life I guess) I'm going to get up at 5 and go to the gym like a good little girl. Already have all my food packed too!! :Angel_anim:
 
Yes, I got up at 5 and went to the gym. Go me!!

As a post-gym treat I decided to have my frozen bananas again- this time I put a scoop of choc protein powder in it and omg------------ SO good!! It's so much thicker and creamier!!!
 
Workout this morn was:

5 min warm up on treadmill

3x 15 dumbbell deadlifts with 25kg 955lbs)
3x 12 assisted chins
3x 15 push ups

3x
15 body weight squats
50 skips
15 hamstring curls
50 skips

2x 12 chest press
2x 12 lat pull down
2x 15 crunches
2x 20 ankle taps

Then I stretched!
 
Blah TOM is here, I had a shit day at work, I have a headache........ Poo whinge whine sook sook (blah= my mood)

Ended up eating a load of crap food this afternoon which probably makes me feel even worse. Didn't eat over calories, just a few hundred under maintenance... but seriously, such bad food. I think I've only had one good food day this week and that was... Yesterday!!! Arghghgh. At least my exercise has been decent. Today I spent that 40mins at the gym this morning, and I walked to work and back which is 30mins each way. So got in an hour of cardio too.

Really want to make tomorrow a really good day (lol just so I can have... 2 perfect days out of 7 this week)

Oh and double blah... I have to work Wed morn now too at 5am. So tomorrow is my only day off this week now. I mean it's only a 3hr shift, but I'd rather work all day and not get up so early. It throws my whole day off. Plus I have tickets to see a comedy show with my husband tomorrow night so I'm going to be tirrrrrrrrrrrred.

Ok... I'm going to bed now. :rant:
