Glad to hear that you got some rest after such a terrible day Luz! I hope you are feeling much better today. For me TOM+headache=devil on wheels lol. Sux that you have to go in on Wednesday morning esp when tired...just try your best to be very careful when baking everything--take nothing for granted so you don't get hurt. I hope you have tons of fun tonight :)
 
Thanks Xe, I was a real downer to be around yesterday that's for sure!!!!!!!!

Happy to report today was a much better day food-wise (not really a great deal of variety but I blame my awesome cooking skills for that, haha!!) Did some baking this morning, I decided that since my chickpea and feta filo tarts came out so well I'd try making spinach feta filo tarts... just kinda threw in what I thought, tried to get a good consistency before cooking... All that was in them was 200gms reduced fat feta, 4 eggs, 500gms spinach, 130gms cheddar and salt/pepper/nutmeg. Oh and about half a cup of skim milk. Each tart had 1/2 a piece of filo holding it together. The recipe made 16 at around 100cals per tart, and I can tell you they are super filling... and pretty much the best tasting thing EVER. That's what I've been nomming on all day (naughty, these were supposed to be dinner for the rest of the week lol) Anyway here's todays food:

5 weetbix with skim milk
2 frozen bananas pureed with a scoop of choc protein powder
7 spinach and feta tarts
2 glasses diet champagne

Exercise was approx 1hr 20mins of walking and a very slow 30min bike ride (I rode along next to a friend while she ran) Also did some cleaning/baking so wasn't on my ass all day :D

Yay I got a really exciting parcel today!!! With some of my casino winnings last week I ordered a heap of stuff from a tea site (the teas there are INCREDIBLE) Got the cutest little glass teapot with a turquoise lid and a shatter proof/ heat resistant jug for iced tea, plus a heap of amaaaaazing teas. YAY so excited!!

Ordered some more protein powder today too, I'm LOVING flavouring my banana icecream with it!!! Got 2 flavours, Cinnamon Roll and Choc Coconut. Yum, should be here in a few days.

I'm really excited about this comedy show tonight, it's One Man Lord of the Rings- it's a stand up comedien doing all 3 books and he does all the characters himself. Looks freakin hilarious :D Will let you know how it is tomorrow!!!!!!

Haha there's none left now!!!! I made them just before a friend came over and she ate like 4 and then my husband finished the rest when he came home from work.

Just thought I'd drop in quickly before work, I just weighed in... I must've been retaining a BOATLOAD of water last week!! Today I weighed in at 70.1kg, so YAY!

O.M.G. frozen bananas blow my mind. What you do is freeze them overnight (peeled) in either an airtight container or a plastic bag. Then when you want them, let them sit out and soften slightly for 20mins or microwave for 20 secs. Break them into 2-3 pieces (I usually have 2) and put them in a food processer with anything else you want (or nothing!) and blend till smooth. It's as soft and creamy as soft serve. I'll take a pic when I have mine later!! You can add anything too- It's frozen yogurt if you use a frozen banana, 1/2 cup frozen berries and 100g yogurt... YUM. Or it's nice and nutty with a tsp of peanut butter (no added salt or sugar) and 1/2 tsp of vanilla essence... Lately I've been putting a scoop of flavoured protein powder in and it's SO. FREAKIN. AWESOME. :sifone:

I like heaps of tea- actually I got a million (well, not quite... but ALMOST) different flavours in that package yesterday!!! After opening it I tried strawberries and cream black tea which was INCREDIBLE. Actually I made it into an ice tea and haven't tried it yet, might do that now! Mostly I drink green tea, earl gray, Jasmine... but I love tea so thought I'd lash out and maybe try to cut back on my 3-4 coffees I have a day. Mm will let you know how I go!

OK so I just got home from work (I walked, aren't I a good girl :Angel_anim:) Did a workout at home with my bar (LOVIN it!) which went for about 30mins- it was mostly leg stuff cuz my upper body is killing still from Monday!

I think I'm heading into the city later to catch up with friends for a coffee, then making more of those spectacular tarts I made yesterday. Going out for dinner with Wade tonight, getting Indian... I picked the restaurant, and I LOVE when restaurants have their menus on their website... I know exactly what I'm going to get. I can't wait!!!

Thought I'd check in and put up my food intake... think that with dinner today is going to end up being just a maintenance day... Oh well, could be worse!

Lite orange and mango jelly with low fat vanilla Greek yogurt
2 spinach and feta tarts
3 frozen bananas with a scoop of protein powder
4 vita weats with low fat cottage cheese
4 slices of wholemeal grain bread

And I still have dinner to go. I'm planning on having tandoori prawns as a starter and curried veges as my main so going to be healthy as I can!

Exercise was 1 and a half hours of walking and 30mins of resistance training this morning.
 
Argh so last night ended up REALLY bad. Wade knocked off work early and wanted to get dinner sooner but the restaurant wasn't open yet, so we went to the casino. I had a few too many drinks and then didn't really care what I ate and I ended up eating a LOT. Like WAY over maintenance. I feel all bloated and sluggish and horrible today.

I'm over it already though, going to be super positive today and keep going. I just thought even if I ate 2000 cals ove maintenance, with the other 6 days of the week if I'm good I can still lose half a kg this week which is what I'm aiming for. 69.5kg I can do by next Wed!

I'm sooo though, I got home after 10pm last night and had to get up at 4am for work so I might even get home from work and have another sleep.

DOn't worry about last night. New beginning, new day. You work out soooo much, it's not gonna even matter.
 
Another bad day. I was determined to be good and when I left work this morning, my body was SCREAMING for junk food... but I held out and got out of the shopping center and started to feel better on the walk home. I was making tarts and when I got the spinach out of the freezer I found that hubby had bought a heap of icecreams... I don't let him have junk food in the house EVER. I didn't touch them for HOURS but I kept thinking about them and just caved. It kinda put me off the whole day because then I just ate everything I could get my hands on. URgh it seems so much harder when you're tired- I know that's no excuse but I knew I wanted crap so badly and I was so proud of myself until I got home and just resigned myself to it.

Not proud of myself at all right now. Urgh sooo tired too, 2 more days of getting up at 4am and them I can have my sleep in. I guess next weeks goal will just be to not have a gain.

ARRRGH OMG OMG!!! <--- (Excitement) I got my new protein powders today, and had the choc coconut flavoured one in my icecream... It was decadent!!! It actually had little flecks of chocolate through it- tasted like REAL icecream!! I think actually it was one of the best icecreams I've ever had! I opened the cinnamon roll flavoured one too and it smells INCREDIBLE.

Oo and exercise-

I'm about to go for an hour walk, and I also went for a 10 min bike ride to pick up my parcel... and stopped halfway to help a poor lady to get her car going by pushing it while she started the engine. Lol probably the only time I'll ever list pushing a car as exercise EVER in this journal (my good deed for the day!)

Had work again 5-8am this morning, the mornings are killing me this week. I feel absolutely wrecked- I did the grocery shopping with my husband straight after work, put groceries away, did some cleaning, then finally went blah at about 9:30 and haven't really done anything until just now when I got my parcel. Decided it was time to get off my ass... so going for a walk! I usually do a resistance workout either today or tomorrow (so it's 3x a week) I'm way too exhausted today so will be doing it tomorrow after work. I'm planning on going to sleep around 6pm-ish tonight- I'm THAT tired. My husband has a late shift and won't be home till after 10pm so I won't have anything to distract me or stay up for.
I'm determined to have every other day this week look the same as today, got to reverse the effects of the passed couple of days!!

Just checking in to let you know... I went for my walk and didn't slack off!!! I'm ready to crawl under a rock now though... might read a few diaries and then sleep for hopefully a very long time. Or until 4am tomorrow anyway for work >.<

Also how about napping anytime before 4PM. I watched a Dr. Oz segment a while ago and he said that powernaps are actually good for you anywhere betweek 15-30 minutes.
 
Hey all, another good day!! Here's how I went- worked 5am-3pm, walked home (30mins), then went for an hour walk. I didn't go to the gym cuz I was waaay too tired, planning on going tomorrow morning though! Food was:

5 weetbix with skim milk
Lite raspberry jelly with low fat vanilla Greek yogurt
Sandwich on dark rye with tinned chicken in lite mayo and sweetcorn
Vita weats with low fat cottage cheese
Peanut butter protein bar (YUM)
3 spinach and feta filo tarts

Just chilling out now with a cup of tea and some tv :)

Oh one last thing before I go- I'm SO super proud of myself today because I had to bake cookies most of the day- all varieties- and didn't TOUCH a single one. YAY!
